The first and last time I tried to cut my hair was when the asymmetrical bob was very trendy and I grew tired of it, so I just wanted to adjust the front to be the same length as the back.🤦♀ I went back to the hairdresser who'd originally cut my bob and ask her to fix my screw-up. She must've counted to ten internally, to keep from throttling me, because I probably deserved that. I could've just gone to her in the first place, and told her I'd grown tired of the asymmetrical bob and asked her to cut it a shorter one length.
No matter what bad haircut you get if long enough just hold head upside down, grab it and cut it straight across. It layers it. Even a tiny bit. It makes all hair a different length. If really bad cut to the worst part of the cuts. Ive cut my hair upside down since the 60s and im 68 now. Works better on long hair though. I tried doing a second layer and now realize watching other videos that going a lot shorter like a bob I have to pull hair a bit forward to forehead. I never rubber band it though. It pulls hair around skull changing length of some of the hair too much compared to the hair straight up to the crown.
