    They look much more hydrated with the renovateur. The color is much more apparent...the "after Bick 4" shots looked dusty and washed out. Huge difference. My shoes get only Saphir also.

    That renovateur is magic for leather! Love the stuff and good to see your premium boots looking so lustrous. Renomat works great to take off all the other waxes and polishes in my opinion. Consider using some Saphir Pommadier Cream Shoe Polish in Navy? The cream mostly conditions and adds a little pigment and should make that navy color come back to life!

    Love that stuff! I also like the greasy leather cream for all my pull up leathers.

    All I've used for years when into dress shoes. Saphir conditioner, pigments, wax, mirror gloss. Moneyy

      I DM'd Maryam and their advice was after conditioning, like with Saphir, any brand 100% beeswax polish (neutral, if U don't want to pigment) is good to go, and in their opinion, best protection for horsehide/horsebutt leather.

    Semi - off topic. An airline friendly "personal item" size leather bag would be fantastic - ie the 18x14x8 bag that "fits under the seat in front of you". Us guys who fly the Spirit and Frontier cattle cars would be forever in your debt for making bags of that size. PLZ!

      thanks for the suggestion Raf!! i actually am able to fit my fully packed standard size Expedition packs under the seat in front of me and i can rest my boots on it while i travel. if you want to get something started i can customize dimensions though!

    Hi Dale was the Bick 4 just not a deep condition or long lasting? They looked pretty good in the after shots in your bick 4 video. The Saphir results look fantastic. That said it looks like the edge of your mid soles need conditioning or some pigmented leather cream. Or are you keeping those at a worn/rugged look?
    Edit: After thinking about it, definitely NO pigmented cream on the midsole/stitching. They still look like they need conditioner.

      i think the bick 4 is just a little more superficial than the saphir renovateur! thanks for bringing my attention to the soles, i did condition them in some areas but they probably need more!

    why don't you try the distressed leather conditioner? there's two products i can think of that does that. fiebings has one and bickmore does too.

    What would you recommend for Ink Cheaha to maintain its "blueness"?

    • @DalesLeatherworks
      @DalesLeatherworks  2 года назад

      depends if you have the roughout or the smoothout!! but i'd probably use saphir or venetian or bick 4, but i'd wait a good long time before trying any of it
