    28:59 Magnus said in the interview with Norwegian Television that d5 was intended, but he messed up the move order. He had prepped it, but mentioned that Nf7 should be played before atleast. He mentioned a lot of other moves too, but that was too dank for my brain.

      I am usually guilty of only watching magnus' games but when I saw the king in the middle of the board I just had to know how that happened in a 2700+ classical tournament - and I was not disappointed.

Personification is saying a nonhuman entity does a human thing ("The fire is dancing", "Justice is blind" etc) while anthropomorphism is making a nonhuman entity act as if it were human (such as here giving stockfish a voice and personality). Interesting distinction though!

      @@catandfishfc Chess and poker aren't close at all, chess is all about calculating lines and determining the best move of the position. Poker players calculate the chances of certain cards their opponents have based on how they bet or act, there is no bluffing in Chess only best moves or inferior moves.

    Levy, I just wanted to say thank you.
    I've been trying to get in chess for a few weeks now, and when I feel like I'm stuck, then just watching one or two of your videos, often makes so many lightbulbs light up in my mind.
    Afterwards when I play, I have so much better understanding of the pieces and the board and the game feels more natural to play, there's clarity and it's easier to see the importance of the positions.
    I think you have an amazing gift of teaching the chess like nobody I've seen yet. Pls keep up this good work!

    I'm not totally sure if it's always been this way, but it sounded like Levy's pronunciation of Jordan van Foreest had changed from "Forest with e" to more Dutch-sounding way. Which is understandable since van Foreest was just in Levy's podcast telling how his name should be pronounced. Appreciate this kind of attention to small detail.

    Whenever I see a game like Carlsen's, where the players are just bashing each other, I'm always reminded of the car smash up game from the early 70s.     Did that first game transpose to some sort of London variation? That idea to retreat the bishop and get the open file is a thing I learned when I studied that opening with GM Simon Williams' videos

    You should do a series where you have to play from a losing position. You can title it "Creating Counter-play" or something. In the low elo games you can just hang a piece for free, and then later maybe a piece for a pawn, then maybe a rook for a knight or bishop. and in the high elo games maybe just get into a bad position but one that still has life in it. You could just make custom games and start the game from the losing position. Anyway I just think it would be pretty informative and it plainly sounds like good content.
    (I've commented this 20 times and I'll continue to do so until either Levy responds, or I see the series. Or maybe I'll give up who knows?)
