If you only do one 4wd Trip in your life I think this one would be on top of the list. It covers nearly the whole spectrum of 4wd (besides snow) and is achievable for most 4wd vehicles if you have 2 weeks time. What do you think?
When my son got his "L" this year we headed straight to the Bendelby ranges for him to learn how to 4WD in his old D1 300TDI. After a few days getting wheel placement right he has never looked back. This is a great place to roll swags out down on the creek line, endless tracks to explore its a great confidence builder. More than that it is great to see some more touring videos again
Being a south Aussie i maybe bias but, this video is completely true. A absolutely beautiful station to get away, it in my top 3. Can't wait to get my newly brought disco 2 out there to see how she does
Was at Bendleby a few weeks ago. Billy Goat is only hard if your car is not highly modified because in normal cars you have to drive very close to the quite steep drop offs to get around a few rock steps. Having your wheel so close to the edge is a bit butt clenching. You guys just trundle straight over them so it would have been a doddle in your cars.
@@AlloffroadAu Unfortunately, we came in from the north at Arkaroola and had a week of fantastic views before hand. A bit like touring Europe and seeing your first castle... after 20 castles, the thrill wears off, we were in great view overload. Excellent video, the drone footage gives a whole new perspective.
Great video and drone production as always. I’ve done the Flinders and Bendleby is on my list. Thanks. Oh btw, it’s not politically correct to call those native trees ‘Black Boys’ anymore. Grass Trees should be used nowadays. Cheers.
thanks Graham, yes political correctness gets me being a black boy, white boy, yellow boy, green boy has no negative connotations for me it's just a colour and lets face it we have many different skin colour on our planet.
@@AlloffroadAu Just because there are many skin colours doesn’t mean they should be singled out. I used to call them black boys too, but I changed. If you don’t want to, that’s your choice.
@@AlloffroadAu Xanthorrhoea australis, the grass tree, southern grasstree, Austral grasstree or black boy, is an Australian plant. It is the most commonly seen species of the genus Xanthorrhoea. Its trunk can grow up to several metres tall and is often branched. In certain Aboriginal languages, it is called bukkup, baggup or kawee.
@@grahameroberts8109 all good mate don't want to go in discussions about it, I dont have an issue either way thats what I know them under and the plant being black the name fit's quite well, but I'm happy to also call them Grass Tree. For me "Black boy" is not offensive it just describes a majority colour of the plant so if any person of colour takes offense my appologies it's not mean that way at all.
Great video, generally speaking would you take a stock Hilux Rugged X fitted with Goodyear Duratrac tyres into the Bendleby Rangers. Not needing to do Pats etc
Hi Stefan, I always look forward to your content. Please keep up the great work so that I can continue to live vicariously through your travels! BTW what maps do you use and find the best? Paper maps that is..
It's a walk in the park now. 10/10 tracks are easier the some on the 8 and 9 out of 10 ones. 31" tyres and lift was great views and driving but was walk in the park. Just slow to flex the 200. Never even lift a tyre once....

Bendleby Ranges is definitely on my list of places I want to visit once my new 4x4 comes in, along with Skytrek at Willow Springs Station.

Spotto'd you in BH about a month ago. Was wondering where you were going.
yes that was the trip mate, small world lol

yea was easy when we did it, went for hardest lines to have a little fun but the views are the reward not the tracks
its a shame you mist the hospitality they were putting on for you that is what makes the place the whole experience
Not sure we missed that, we had a private tour on 3 days around the property and use of the shearing quarters so where well looked after.
the old bbq at the end
A yes we missed that only heard about it when we already set up at Mt Patt otherwise we would have been there...
