for me the price plugins are just a way to save time going through the spreadsheet for ride costs, which i'd probably be doing if not for that plugin haha. i know it's a little cheaty but for me it's just a time saver. that scenery one is awesome though, definitely grabbing that
To me price manager isn't really cheating. In theory, we have all Values to calculate the prizes. And yes we have the time. test the ride pause the game and do the math. It just saves a lot of time and headache.
Thanks for this video showcase. This was very helpful and I like how there is an easy scenery plugin now. I used to hate building things one piece at a time and it got annoying.
I miss benchwarmer. It gives you the possibility to place benches and bins all over the park with 1 click. Even place them while building Path. A Feature that I wanted for years.
Knew this day was coming. If you wanna know the state and future of this game, When this was first released, we used the then version of plug ins, trainers. As an admin for the largest custom object host in the world at the time, RCT2 Object List, we hosted many things. Custom objects, scenarios, tracks, created parks etc etc We did not host utilities that interacted with the game engine because Sawyer, Atari and Frontier would come after you. If you'd GREAT series continues to thrive, it will do so by players refusing to let the official creative team leave out abandoned. I've played the game from release through the RCT3 series when it all fell to pieces and retired a couple of pc's, which is why I've not been able to play in 10 yrs. I truly miss the game but am no longer equipped to enjoy it. If anyone was ever on RCT2OL, I was known as Duke, the nice admin!! Lol Good to see that New Element is still a hopping spot for the game.
I use to play the Zoo Tycoon games but my first time playing the RCT games in 2023 lol, I have RCT1 and RCT2 with the OpenRCT2 Launcher, But i was told that the launcher auto updates but my one says v0.0.7 when i see online about the v0.4.4 one, So idk how to update it, I tried to add plug-ins but it broke my game saying machine type mismatch and i fixed this by deleting the bins folder so yeah no idea how to get plug-ins now rip
The bins and benches placer just doesn't work for me, whenever I try to use it, the white squares disappear when I mouse over pathing the same way it does when the placement is invalid.
Yeah if you're using the develop version of the game, I think that feature is broken. But version 2 should be out soon, which will fix that and add some cool new features!
the only plugins i'm surcing for are new Trains for the Coasters..... for example the corkscrew coaster. i know, zhere are some new trains awailable, but can't find them
Custom trains aren't done through plugins. They are separate objects. You can get them by opening parks that use them. I don't know of any offhand, but if you browse through (for example) New Element you'll probably find some eventually.
Unfortunately I can't help you much there, as I don't use a Mac. Presumably the OpenRCT2 install makes a plugin folder somewhere in your user directory, but I can't tell you exactly where.
No, TypeScript. Well, okay yeah it is JavaScript, but I wouldn't write anything in plain JavaScript ever again if I can help it, since TypeScript compiles down just fine.
Thank you for mentioning my plugins, really appreciate it! 😄
How could I not? You put so much hard work into making some fantastic tools!
Hi, nice to see my plugins appreciated. Watch out for the new NSF update that will come to the Scenery Manager soon.
Yeah I was trying to find v2.0 for this video but I guess it's not public yet. Looking forward to it coming out!
@@fidwell It's in (semi-public) beta stage.
Ok I had no idea the game I'v been playing for the past 6 years can adopt plugins built with JS/TS - Now I want to contribute, amazing!!
Awesome! There are some samples and reference documentation at openrct2plugins.org/ for when you want to get started!

Its no cheat... We have all numbers we need. Like you said, it just saves time.
Used to play rct1 more than 20 Year ago. Just got it on steam and the open mod. Loving it!! Great video.

Grabbing the price manager when I get home; wanted one of those for a while now.
Thanks for this! I had no idea about a bunch of these mods... and now will just have to play rct again! :)
Good content, shows me some stuff I had no clue about. Sadly music became annoying after 2:06 and unbearable after 2:54.
Sorry to hear that. I try make sure my background music isn't too distracting, with mixed results... I guess this track isn't a keeper!
I miss benchwarmer.

Scenery Manager almost does the same thing; maybe not when building paths but it's still pretty powerful.
Knew this day was coming.

I recommend not using the launcher. Just get downloads straight from openrct2.org
Music's nowhere as bad as comments make it out to be 😆 thank you for the plugin recommendations!
Do you know if there is a plugin to automatically generate map landscape in scenario builder similar to how new maps are created in minecraft?
I don't know anything about how Minecraft does it, but the scenario editor can do some procedurally-generated terrain without a plugin.
hello, sorry for necromancy, but i have newbie question, is openrct 2 has the original campaign of the roller coaster tycoon 2?
Yes, OpenRCT2 imports all the original scenarios from your installation of RCT2.
The bins and benches placer just doesn't work for me, whenever I try to use it, the white squares disappear when I mouse over pathing the same way it does when the placement is invalid.

Soft guest cap calculator is a bigger chat than price management
I'm getting that scenery manager asap
I totally love the benchwarmer plugin.
I just want a plugin that keep my elevated rides from messing with path height. Sick of trying to build paths that only go to a half a foot of height.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but it sounds like you might be having this problem? ruclips.net/video/O4cV7_QtEQc/видео.html

Nice. Will check out more of your vids. /subscribed.
thx
Speedrunning minesweeper in RCT2!
There are world records out there just begging to be broken! Or achieved at all I guess!
Really enjoy the info but god that background music is like nails on a chalkboard
I would like to say that I enjoyed the video, but that music had nearly driven me completely insane by the end
Very informative. But that was the most horrendous background noise I’ve ever heard.
JavaScript?
EEeeeewww!!

This video was nice an dall... But what the hell is this music??? I just lost all my sanity
damnit, tried to watch your video but that nerve wrecking fucking GTA5 club music chased me away 🤬
Nice infos, horrible background music. Made me stop watching
Still playin vanilla, Openrct2 to much gimmicks and bugs.
