What a valuable video! I have had this problem now for over a year and tried many suggest fixes. Your very first one about PCI express did the trick! You are the man!!
This works for me. An error showing "if you shut down now, you and any other people using this PC could lose unsaved work". I left my computer recording, for some unknown reasons this error comes up. I have to do hard reset just to shut it down. Tried deleting recent windows updates, cleaning my drivers and removing temporary files. And this method worked only. Have to shutdown for 3 times just to make sure everything is okay. Thanks so much.
Thanks! This worked a treat for me. For some reason after updating all my drivers, when I shutdown my PC the red led lights inside the case remained on and there was a quiet humming noise coming from my PC. Did everything in this video and it fixed it! Can I ask what we are exactly doing when we change the huberboot enabled property from 1 to 0? Because I think it was this step that fixed it. Or it could have been the power cfg -h off bit? What does that command do? Thanks in advance and again, awesome video and thaks for helping me fix my issue.
Thanks homie. My power button-function somehow got swapped to "Sleep", whether due to another app installation or a recent Windows update. Now I can sleep peacefully knowing my war machine is fine. 👊
Voila. 😘😘 01:26 That method worked like magic for me. Actually I was looking for the solution for a long time, many vidoes on RUclips shown same cliché solutions, unfortunately none work out, finally got this video and my issued solved. Thanks a ton to the uploader. ❤😀😘
My problem is that i shut my pc down in the evening because when i put it to sleep it wakes up immediately and when i shut it down, it randomly turns on in the middle of the night and my PC is in my bedroom, so i have to turn my monitors off and cover my mouse and keyboard so hopefully this will solve that problem of waking me up in the middle of the night
This worked like a charm. Something about dual booting Arch Linux (I had to regenerate windows MBR on a different disk, probably deleted my boot settings haha) screwed these settings up for me That said, updating BIOS is actually a good idea if you are on a desktop that you plan to upgrade. You need to do it if you want to use new CPUs, for example

I just shut my computer down with the update and shut down option. Now my computer is not shutting down completely. The mouse, keyboard, and monitors are all off as well. I’m afraid to try and shut it down by unplugging it since I shut it down with the update. What do I do?
thanks. the powercfg command and the registry null value helped. my pc not only shutdown fine now, the lost digital output (error in device manager) reappeared.
Thank you so much! For some reason when I switch to UFEI bios for resize able Bar it wouldn’t let me shut down the computer at all would just turn right back on lol.
Did NOT work for me. Windows 10 exits successfully but the computer continues to run. At this point, I pushed the restart button on the computer and was surprised that it actually shut down the computer completely - paused - and then rebooted the computer into Windows. BTW, I'm a seasoned technician, been building and servicing computers since the mid 1980s. This particular problem mystifies me. I can only assume the motherboard has a problem - especially since the Ethernet port does not work. (I have to use a USB to Ethernet dongle) THANKS for your attempts of helping us!
windows push hidden updates upon shutdown?.. because sometime when i shut down the pc and go to bed.. when i wake up the pc is on... so i started to shut down and every time i now have to wait for it to fully shut down.. annoying having to shut down the pc twice... then dont call it shut down... that would be a update and restart buttom...

When I turned off fast boot prior to this video but my computer started exhibiting this behavior. Turning fast boot back on 'fixed' it. I want to turn off fast boot for fresh boot every time. So, what do I do to fix this issue?
I had this issue last night after updating my bios on my aurora 14 at first thought the update was the case then I realized windows will do this from time to time due to the os just glitching out power troubleshoot and changing the button to shutdown instead of sleep fixed it allready had hybrid turned off
i have a question, what if i unninstall my windows again and the problem still there? can you tell me where the problem is after installing new windows?
My Laptop wasn’t shutdown properly last 1yrs & haven’t found any video anywhere..now it’s fixed ❤️
I love that you explain what exactly are you doing in each method, with clear voice and not much trouble. Great video :)
