I think Porcha did a great job with her tutorial. The negative comments are BS. The hack works IF done correctly. You’re gonna make a mistake or two as you’re learning a new process. If you’re not sure about a technique then practice on fabric rather than t-shirts.

Hi Porcha!! I've been watching your videos for a little while now and I love them. they are very easy to understand and you get right to the point. and I have to say you are quite creative as I love the designs you create in Canva. I have a question for you - I converted my Epson printer to a sublimation printer. I noticed that your colors are incredibly vibrant and they pop! May I ask, do you have a converted printer or a printer for sublimation? If it is converted, would you share your printer settings or guide me to where I can find them? I even got the ICC code from Printers Jack (the ink I use), and my reds are still to orangy. I've tried everything....... I'm wondering if I need to bite the bullet and get a sublimation printer?......😝. TIA!!!😊

Hi Porcha! New subbie here. After watching this video and others, I decided to try this hack out. You seem to get some really great results. After much trial and error, adjusting cure temp and time, press temp and time, multiple times, I just can't seem to get there. My images are coming out grainy looking and/or cracking. I thought the powder wasn't melted all the way so I adjusted the temp and time for that. Didn't work. I followed the instructions to the letter that came with the Yamation kit, no luck there either. I am using the HTVRont auto heat press to cure and press. The platen on that press is about 2 inches from the press mat so I increased the temp and time for curing to make sure the powder was completely melted. And it was! Images still coming out bad. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? I am using 100% cotton to test on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Sandra! I can share my settings but I still get those "pizza wheels" because it's a hack and we're not using an actual DTF printer, it's a cause and effect type thing. I have read that you can move the wheels on your ink jet printer, but that seems tedious to me. What I do instead is use a Q-Tip to "erase" the marks. I don't have to do this with every print but when I do I've found the Q-Tip to be the most effective. Best wishes ✨

Hi Portia, loved all your videos, i just got my Sub printer and all your videos have helped me so much. May i ask what’s the difference from normal Sub paper Verses the DTF powder ?
Loved your Mickey shirt. I tried to buy the image but its no longer for sale. Im a huge Mickey fan. Would you consider selling your design with the words on it, would love to put this on my craft bag. Keep up the great Work. Thanks Vicki 😊

Regular sub paper is for polyester apparel and can only be printed on white, doesn't require special powder. If planning on trying the DTF hack seen here and elsewhere on YT, you will need DTF film/powder which can then be pressed on 100% cotton white, light and dark.
