It amazes me how well the o rings hold up in the Ninja Foce figures.
I even made a point and pausing the video on Dojo's spring arm to study that.
I've never taken a Ninja Foce figure apart but I know someday I'll have to do it.
I fixed 2. I used beading wire then tied elastic to the wire then tied it using the Toypoloi zartan method where you tie knots and pull tight. It’s finicky to make a wire hook but it is doable.

Beautiful fig! Awesome repair. I was able to crack the torso on my childhood dojo and Ken masters.. but no such luck with nunchuck. I'm going to have to put your method to use jubbs. Thanks buddy.

This is really helpful. I just got most of the Ninja Force and was googling the repair preemptively.
Now I have a great tutorial video for the procedure when the time comes.
Also, I didn't realize that the mechanism was all around the arms on those figures who have the chopping action.

Excellent fix, Steve!
You know about the epoxy trick? When you have the legs apart thin layer of epoxy will kind of replace the worn down plastic in the knees. place it so you don't see it. Let it dry completely before you try to put it together. If you can get to much then file it down, it took me many try's before i got it right, but it did work. It stiffen the knee joints up like a charm.
When I was a kid I put Dojo in a cup of water and put him in the freezer as a Cobra hostage. I was surprised to find that he had split in two. I don't remember how clean the split was, but he was it two pieces.
Always wondered about that… I will wonder no more! I guess with the fused torsos something’s gotta give.
I loved this Storm Shadow too more than the other two. You fixed the only flaw I had with it too. Dangit. Now I'm tempted to dig mine out and try this. Thank you for posting this.
Also you know this is the best Storm Shadow design evaaar when Hasbro brought it for the Modern figures via Dollar Store (which is greatly enhanced with Marauder weapons I must confess), and the Classified line.
My favorite storm shadow was the 1987 version.
If I’m honest with myself, you’ve picked the best of the bunch. But I love the Ninja Force version so damn much. I lost my childhood one far too early on. It passed into legend!

I wonder if you can use the head arms and legs of Ninja Force figures with standard ARAH figures 🤔
With a bit of doctoring yes. I took a Ninja Force Scarlett head and adapted it to fit into a 80’s Scarlett torso. But I reckon the parts would more easily go into a later figure as the torso cavities are larger and more accommodating of the extra plastic used for the spring loaded parts.
I love when the figures are floppy personally😌it always made play more fun😎

I did see Cory on cracktastic plastic channel say that you can put it in hot water and soften the factory glue and you can pry it apart (torso) then use plastic weld when you put it together. Although this is a great Idea.
Was he demonstrating on a Zartan or sibling figure or was it a Ninja Force figure? As far as I can tell these later guys are plastic welded together.
@GI Joburg think it was ninja force he did say it work on zartan and others that were glue together. I might of miss heard him but I think he said you can use hot water or just gently Crack them along the seams

On this particular version of a gimicky Ninja Force Storm Shadow it is actually possible to convert it to a figure with a screw in the pack. I have done a conversion like that successfully :-). I separated the torso on a spare one, and drilled a hole in the back, then it was possible to find a place internally on the chest piece to screw the pack in place to. The hole in the back could even be sunked in a bit. I recomend trying on a broken one =)
Excellent news! I’ve often wondered what he’d look like with a backpack. Did you have to cut the torso? Or is there a way to pop it?
It's been a while, cant remember if i cut or it just popped since maybe the glue was old :)
@gijoburg - I made a tear down video on the figure so you can see how the figure looks inside- the mechanics for the arms is removed however and I dont recall how they fit inside though - hope it helps :-) ruclips.net/video/_PK-YdNBFsg/видео.html
Hi Steve, i have this storm shadow but the o-ring is broken, the only way to put a new one is opening the chest with a cutter same as u did with dojo? Or replace it for a cord like you did here. Thanks
I’m sorry to hear that. But I strongly advise not cutting the figure. It’s not just glue, it’s welded together so a cut will damage the plastic and make the two halves impossible to neatly rejoin! So I would try and curl an elastic cord around the inside and back down and then tie it off as demonstrated in this video. Then reassemble the crotch and legs over that new loop of cord. Good luck!
I fixed 2 of these figures using beading wire. Make a loop, feed it through one hole and out the other. Then tie elastic an pull it through.

Thank you! I didn’t roll on the cutting open of Dojo because it is helluva tedious. These guys are fused together a lot harder than the Zartan clan so it’s a nasty affair of either cutting with a blade (terrible result as the halves will never match up flush ever again) or using a pliers or spreading tool and taking the risk of cracking the plastic altogether. I would not advise!
I don't know why. I never liked storm shadow when he joined the joes.
One might argue that he never “joined” the Joes per se, but became more of an ally through the Snake Eyes connection.
i had that storm shadow as a kid and the 88 version. but I dont think he was the best version. 1988 Storm Shadow was much cooler!! I had the glow in the dark version of the one u have here. lol. I think it was a mail-away figure.
