    Ruby you are a crochet genius. My daughter's are going to LOVE this, in dark blue & black of course lol.. My teenagers are so hard to choose & design for.. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, you are a wonderful teacher & it's greatly appreciated. Please continue to show more tutorials such as these small giftable designs. Its always welcome if its a 1 or 2 row repeat, especially if it's not a yarn hog.. God bless...

    I love this!! And the video is explained very well but i have tried to make it a few times but i keep getting lost part way through, because i had to chain more then you did at the beginning, and usually i have a written pattern to follow with videos when i crochet, do you happen to have a written pattern to purchase or for free?

  • @tinabothwell2555
    @tinabothwell2555 3 года назад

    u (inc) 1st stitch do (3inc) at top inc at the end do this for every row except the top u add more inc at top or just 3inc to make it start curving

  • @stardust220

    at 7:46 you did 3 double crochet in number 37, so the total would be 36+3+36=75. On the next row, you add 1 double crochet on each end, so it should be 75+2, which is 77. Why would it become 78?

    • @mightymims
      @mightymims 8 лет назад +2

      I think you still do the 37th stich, then increas by 3, so that stitch has a total of 4 DC in it, Making it 76 and then in the next row with the extra 2 stitches it makes 78

  • @rachelcarlson3197
    @rachelcarlson3197 3 года назад

    Rudy, love your concept. No stitching the top or back together.
    Using Red Heart Super Saver, I chained 45. After adding 3 double crochet stitches on the end, my piece measured 12.5 inches. To help myself and others put things in perspective, what length was your first row, including the 3 double crochet on the end?
    Thanks!

  • @asrieldreemurr8299
    @asrieldreemurr8299 2 месяца назад

    Where as your instructions are simple, you lost me with your math and where exactly to increase the stitches. I would have either loved to see you increasing where needed and when you are repeating the same row skip those parts like you are doing. Being experienced myself I'm winging it the best I can. Patterns and numbers work well for me, perhaps you could write a pattern? Aside from my critique I love how your product came out. I hope mine comes out as good.

    • @asrieldreemurr8299
      @asrieldreemurr8299 2 месяца назад

      Ok so going through this video so far you spoke about increases during the 2nd round and that got confusing. If you mention the increase on the row you're increasing then that might be more understandable especially to beginners. By observing and counting the rows it looks like row 3 is crocheted all around the part that curves. I figured it out by stopping the video and counting. Now the row you're mentioning the increase makes sense.

    • @asrieldreemurr8299
      @asrieldreemurr8299 2 месяца назад

      @@meekaowens6708 She did but her video editing skills need work. It was only confusing because of the increase being mentioned before the actual row came up. That's an inside thought when counting increases. I'm sure she could have edited that part out. I've been crocheting for 3-4 years and having beaten my own mother who has done it all her life, even I was confused till I used my own logic to make what she is doing make sense.
