- DIY your own clothes with this super cute and simple t-shirt upcycle! This is a challenge for me to create a cute and casual jersey dress using two t-shirts with basic macrame detailing and an open back. Overall the project costs $4 and now can be worn to parties, the pool, beach, or anywhere! Dress it up or dress it down.

Awesomely feminine style. The added panels at the bottom added weight which seemed to make the dress lie so pretty against your body. Absolutely love this.
A really nice dress for a sunny weather, a beach party and moore! Changing accessoires, can be created a lot of styles! Really great idea!

You are obviously an excellent seamstress with creativity that is off the hook! This video is awesome - you go a little bit too quickly for me (give me a break I'm sixty years old!) but it's easy to catch up on anything I missed by watching it again. No biggie. Just one question: You're a very good seamstress, as I said, so I wonder why you are using a straight stitch on a jersey knit? Wouldn't it be better to use a small-width zig-zag, or even a decorative stitch that would allow the fabric to give when stretched as it was intended? I've used a straight stitch on a knit in the past and found that no matter where the straight stitches were sewn, they will eventually break from the stress of trying to give when the fabric is stretched. (I hope this makes sense!)
The macrame detail is soooo cute! It makes me wish I were young enough to still wear things like this. It's hard to believe a frumpy Tshirt could end up being so lovely. You are very talented seamstress! 😀

i love your sketch.
This is a very gorgeous design. However the work involve is one not for a novice; all the cutting made this project less an up-cycle and more like a true sewing project, with about 2 yards of fabric.
