    Defenitely deserved your license. Hopefully the person on the front got it as well. Did the examiner pointed out unnecesserily often shoulder checks when not needed or it was all good when youve passed it?
    Have upcoming mod 2 test myself soon and would like to ask you If a shoulder check on right or left turn is being forgotten to be done before the turn can this resolve to a fail even if youve done the earlier mirror-signal-shoulder check? And also if u change lane before a traffic set from centre to left or right, doing all signal and observations but transitioning faster rather than smooth due to a pressure,can this be a potential minor or fail?
    An answer would be appreciated. Thanks

I've had my fair share of foolish drivers on the road. 23 roundabouts sounds like hell 😅. I did it with phoenix motorcycle school. The exact school is in one of my more recent video uploads. Good luck on the test and thank you! Around the 9 minute mark is where I had to ride independently on the test but the route was slightly different by literally a few roads. Thankfully this area was not too difficult. Main thing is to remember the change speed limits on the roads and just be careful on the roundabouts. This area is pretty chilled to ride on most of the time and the roads are nice and open.

    I failed it today, the examiner told me all the ride was good with the exception of a major fault I`ve done. At the first left road turn after the video started, there is a tram crossing, I saw the signs, I even saw the 30MPH sign on the surface of the road and increased my speed, if I am not mistaken, at about 5 to 6 meter to the "stop line" the trafic light turned to yellow right at that moment and I judged best to speed up and pass through it quick, thanksfully no accident happened ( well, the tram passed maybe 20 sec later after I passed the crossing) the examiner stopped before the crossing and I found a safe place just few meters away and pulled over and waited for him. when I saw he was moving (through the mirror) I did right sign , right shoulder check and moved off, all safe, and completed the ride until the last moment he explained I should have stopped because thats a big risk I took. well no argument, I trust his judgmentand accepted my fate. 300 £ for another test :(

    • @XAVZLIFE
      @XAVZLIFE  2 года назад +1

      Ahh I'm sorry to hear that.That is very unfortunate! The good thing is the examiner said the ride was good apart from that 1 thing which can happen to any of us. I wish the all the best with the next attempt and just focus on that. You will get it!🙏🏽👌🏽 then once you have the full license you are free to enjoy any bike you like.

      I also failed my first mod 2. Perfect ride but one major fault. I came too fast off a dual carriageway onto an overpass turning left over the carriageway. My front tyre went onto the central line on the road on the corner and he failed me saying 'had a large vehicle been coming the other direction there may have been a collision on the corner'. He was right but I was PO'ed for a while. Passed my mod 2 on the second attempt so its doable. Well done on the no minors and keep the faith man 👍.

    I'm doing mine tomorrow in mitcham too! It's crazy how I've been looking for a video like this for the last month and you uploaded it yesterday. Why did it only last 19 minutes and why did the examiner go in front of you at the end? Also why was there a learner in front of you the whole time? Isn't this just a practice ride?

    • @XAVZLIFE
      @XAVZLIFE  2 года назад +3

      This was a mock of the actual route and on the real MOD2 the examiner took us both on pretty much the exact same route. I did the mock route probably about 3 times with different instructors and when taking the real thing the route was the same. full test only lasted 29 minutes including the independent riding, sight check at the start etc
      The ride itself lasted about 20 minutes which I didn't expect as it was so quick.
      Good Luck tomorrow
      Always remember to do the life savers, use the box Junctions correctly and wait in them for right turns, keep to the speed limits and don't stop on anyway keep clear road markings or block junctions.

      They should have really taken you on the test route just to get familiarised with the roads. If you end up going to a section with alot more houses and residential looking with random tight corners, 1st gear is your best option for really tight bends and ride thr clutch and rear brake...thats if you end up going to that section.

    I actually failed my test last month (Fri 13th May) for the actions just like this video at 06:05 (The red van trying to cut in). I had a very similar instance where someone tried to undertake me (Yes i know - stupid) in traffic while i was in the RH lane coming over the round about (using the speed limit) and then by focusing on the person trying to get in front of me (As we came my body to his driver door) i became too close (further away than the bike in front of the rider in this instance) from the car in front of me.
    So a watch out for anyone doing MOD 2, maybe i should have backed off and let the under taker in? i don't know but, i failed on a major of exceeding the close distance or what ever its called because I got too close to the vehicle in front of me when this happened.

    • @XAVZLIFE
      @XAVZLIFE  2 года назад

      That is so unfortunate! Sorry to hear that. In most of these situations when something like the red van incident happens or like your situation, we get penalised for it when it comes to the MOD 2 even if its not our fault sadly. Just go for that MOD 2 again when you can and I hope you bag it with ease and no issues like this attempt. All that's needed is the pass and you're good to go for the big bikes and from there the learning and bike journey continues🔥. I wish you all the best on the next attempt!
