    I hope you enjoyed this video! I’m low-key obsessed with this ice cream maker. If you want to check out more info and reviews, here’s a link to the Ninja CREAMi on Amazon amzn.to/3KJFxw6 {affiliate link}. 🍦 I'm working on more recipes and would love to know, what’s your favorite ice cream flavor and what are your go-to toppings? Rainbow sprinkles, chocolate jimmies or _____ ?

    This recipe was super fast and simple yet the result was fantastic! The only change I made was to switch cocoa with carob powder in order to avoid the oxalates that are present in cocoa products. Thanks much; this will be a go to recipe for sure. 👍

      I'm delighted you enjoyed it! 😀 What a great idea to use carob and good to know that it works well in this recipe. Cheers!

      Oh what!? I was actually thinking about you when I came up with the idea for this video because I know you don't like smoothies. I thought, oh Kendra is going to love this, no smoothie all ice cream. 😂

    I prefer a cup because I don’t eat it fast enough and it melts every time. 😅

      Haha, makes sense. Plus there are more topping options with a cup. :)

    Instead of dates, could I use maple syrup? If so, how much? Do you think 1/4 cup would be fine?

    • @SnazzyVeganLife
      @SnazzyVeganLife  7 часов назад

      The dates add sweetness but also help to thicken the mixture. Adding about 1/3 to 1/2 of a ripe (yellow) banana would be a good alternative as a thickener and then you can add maple syrup until you get to the level of sweetness you like. I would start with 2 tablespoons maple syrup and go from there.
      If you're not a fan of the banana in there, some cooked Japanese sweet potato would work. I think you'd need about 1/4 cup, but I haven't tested it to give you the exact quantity. I just posted a recipe for a vanilla ice cream using Japanese sweet potato. You definitely wouldn't need the same amount of sweet potato in this recipe because the cocoa helps thicken the mixture as well. I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions!

      But would your put meat in ice cream? I don't think you'd be missing the meat in this recipe. :)
