This lesson here means a lot helping me navigating the process of learning English and its complexity. Thank you. I appreciate your effort for making this!
In my English course, it is written : E.g = September 11, 2001. →because the month comes before the day, you cannot use ordinal numbers. Even if the -th isn't written, an ordinal number is still said. So I would like to know why you wrote "-th" after the number, maybe is it to explain? Thank you very much ! celia.
Hi, we have always learnt that we read the date like this: Month + article THE + ordinal number... Is it correct, or and old way of saying the date? Thank you
@@masihadoustdar you have a few options. You can use only numbers (ex 12/26/2024), or you can write out the month and use numbers for the day and year (December 26th, 2024). It is also possible drop the “th” (December 26, 2024). All of these options are correct.
Hello, I still have doubts using the preposition ON please help me, If I say... my birthday is on September 16 th or my birthday is the 16 of September. Are both correct?

Is 1900 (1800,1700.. as well) exception? Am I correct if say "nineteenth-hundred" ?
Yes, you will say nineteen hundred, eighteen hundred, etc.
Is it ON May 23rd? Ought I replace ON with IN if I add the year : IN May 23rd, 2123?
I just read that.
Hello! Because you have the day (the 23rd), you should use ON.
@@WorldwideSpeak Thanks a lot!
If it's year or months on use IN.
Like in May, in 2001.

So every time someone says "the" that would be British, right? like in the song "Firework" by Katy Perry where she sings... the Fourth of July.
Hello, I still have doubts using the preposition ON please help me, If I say... my birthday is on September 16 th or my birthday is the 16 of September. Are both correct?
That's right- both are correct!
Both are correct. British and American English.
The 16th of September or on September 16
Don't you have a way of not saying the name of the month, but just the number of it? For example "twelve twenty fifth" for Christmas
Hello- yes, you can say this, but it's not common. Most people will say (and be prepared to hear) the name of the month. :)
This month-date-year is a mess but it's your mess.
Most of the world uses date-month-year.
Only place in the world the dose it this way
