At the Cox airshow years back they had a Simulated napalm explosion,, 2500 feet long 200 feet high wall of fire.. You could feel the heat and I was a quarter-mile away... Then they had the blue angels

At RAF Upper Heyford or Halton (forget which but its a USAF base in England) in the mid 80s I went to an airshow that did that too. It was a mock attack by a couple of F111's and then this massive sheet of flame about a quarter of a mile away. I could feel that too and it was already a scolding hot day.
