    I suffer of major depression and take treatment for 20 years, a month ago I stared to feel a flair of this illness after been 8 years stable, I got a gravity blanquet and started using it when I sleep in the night and also when I take naps. For people like me it works wonders, I feel normal plus other ihealth issues I got improved so much that I feel full of energy and my body is like when I was 30. I recommend this weighted blanquets to people that have emotional issues like anxiety and depression.

    I really like this tutorial and plan on following it, but I was wondering if you are still able to wash this blanket with the gravel inside? And do you know of any other substitutes for gravel?

    • @NataliasToolbox
      @NataliasToolbox  5 лет назад +3

      You cannot really wash the blanket, as in putting it in the washing machine - it will ruin your machine. But I’ve spot cleaned it, ironed it and hung it outside to air it out :)
      For any substitutes, you can use plastic or glass beads. I do not recommend you using anything food related (like rice or beans) because it can get all mouldy, and you can get seriously sick from it.

      It’s better to use poly pellets instead of gravel and if you use the pellets you can wash it with no trouble

      That’s true. But if you want to be evironmentally friendly - don’t use plastic pellets, or make sure that the pellets have come from recycled plastic.

      You can also use glass beads

    Can I use like spandex cloth or silica sand or aquascape sand for the filling? It's the only ones I can get in the town with the newest lockdown going on in our cities😭

    Could it be better to insert a bag with the gravel to have inside sheets instead? So you can wash? 🤔😮

      They say you need to have 10 % of your weight to make it work so 19 or 20 pounds :)
