Most of the original Skynard is gone. And for years it's been basically a tribute band. What that being said this is still one of the best live performances of this song period. Johnny does big brother proud.

I remember this song coming on the radio when my oldest son was deployed to Iraq on the way to the base.I was newly divorced parent, I had already broke down twice on I-95 from Fla and now I was sitting on I-95 in Ga. As if this was going to stop me from seeing my son deploy. My son drove all the way from N.C. and helped me, my car get back on the road again, telling me "Mom, please go back to Fla, it 's not meant to be". I have always been a very stubborn person my entire life, my mom, his grandma can testify to that. I did of course make it to N.C. to see my oldest son deploy to Iraq at that time when he first enlisted in the Marine Corps and he did make it back. Thank you God!!! We Love Our Veterans!!! Semper Fi!!!
