    First pin I ever purchased!!! Got it from Gold Mine at Aviation Mall in Glens Falls in 1989!!! I did replace the plastic figure with a Frankenstein's monster model!!! Great pin with awesome ambiance and a great soundtrack!!

    One of the best pop bumper games I've ever played.

    I will definitely say that Gottleib had some of the best synth ever. I've always wanted to play this game because I've become increasingly fond of their tables from this era, and because it looks fun.

      Their tables are so underrated. They get so much hate.

    This game has some kickin' music. Really love it.
    I like the basic gameplay explanation given at the start. I wish you guys could do this for the rest of your gameplay videos. It would help me see what you're aiming for.

    That's some BAD. ASS. Music on this table. Damn.
    I love that you can almost cheese the whole game with the drop targets!
    Also, I love the pop bumper play!

      They have the game setup very liberal in this video. With normal settings it is much harder.

    Wow, 2min 5 seconds to the first reveal, I've not seen it done that quick before. Great skill!

    That endless pop bumper at 7:54 was hilarious!

    Very good. Love the music. I think the last time I played one was on the Palace Pier in Brighton decades ago. I have been to many pinball shows of private collectors since and there hasn't been one st any of them.

    I'm a bit ashamed to admit that, before I actually saw this being played, I thought this was related to the band Genesis.
    Though to be honest, who WOULDN'T want a pin themed around the kickass music of Phil Collins?

    Funny how at 02:35 the play completely fills up the queue buffer and it takes ~15 seconds to play all those programmed light and sound effects one at a time until normal play can resume ;)...

    First of all, thank you SO much for videos of this caliber! I really have enjoyed each one. In your first video like this (I think it was "Daytona") you showed some subtitles at the bottom left when the player was making passes and live catches. I found that super informative. Any chance you might add those to ongoing videos? Maybe a small pop up when something of interest is going on? Thanks for all your continued content!

      I certainly will try. The videos are intentionally of different types though, so these gameplay videos will never be as thorough of an explanation as the tutorial videos. Gameplay is intended to offer a very basic strategy, show the game's features, and then document the game's sounds and action. Tutorial videos are intensive, in depth looks at all of a game's variations, strategies, and more. There is certainly overlap in the goals though, so we'll do what we can with the time we have.
      Thanks for watching!

    Unquestionably the best pinball game of all time (Arena is a close second). I think my all-time high is 18,000,000.

    Just got one of these for a great deal. My friend is driving it down to me later this month. Minor repair needs to be done but is otherwise working. I’ve had my eye on this one for a little while, just hope I can find a better translite...

    I swear I played a slightly different version of this table as a youngster. The glass area was actually a lower playing field, the game's audio included "mad scientist"-type spoken lines, and you were building a woman (the woman in the backglass picture) instead of a robot.

      Williams The Machine??

    • @edgewiseass
      @edgewiseass 3 года назад +1

      @@gallimead Nah, I have a video game version of that one and never played the physical version. It doesn't have a glass floor to the main table with a second table beneath it.

    I am still mind boggled that Gottlieb is the last man standing in pinball. I always hated the feel of their pins. Williams was my fav with SEGA as 2nd.

      Uhhh, Stern still exists

    • @murve33
      @murve33 Год назад

      All of the companies changed hands so many times that they were "in name only". Gottlieb changed to Columbia Pictures, then Coca-Cola, then Premier (who made this table). Williams sucked up Bally in the late-80's, and then stopped making pinball in the late-90's. Stern bought Chicago Coin's assets, got absorbed by Data East, who got bought by Sega, who sold their assets back to Stern.

    I love my Genesis, best bang for the buck and anyone 3 to 90 can play it....and have done in my house. This one is obviously in fine fettle, playing hard and fast.
