Dorsiflexion really helps.. keeping soles in full contact with the roof will help prevent slipping. Noticed you were on your toes

Very helpful, sir! I'm located in Round Rock, TX (just 15mins north of Austin). I'm looking for a good Rope & Harness class to attend somewhere in Texas (closer to the Austin area the better, but will travel). These courses have been more difficult to locate online than I thought they would be. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Eric, thanks for the comment! In Texas, I’ve heard from different folks that Reality Rope Access in Montgomery, TX is pretty good. They have different levels of training, offer group or individual training. They are located North of Houston.

How do you access a step hip roof? If there is no ridge to hook on?

Those are challenge. Your options are limited to the Hipplock or ladder scoping.

Pitch hoppers make inspections on steep so much more efficient. If I have to measure something crazy like an A frame that's above 12/12 ill use my ridge pro and rope, But 99% its pitch hoppers that get used, keep an extra to put behind the ladder on double pull's also.

Wow, I didn’t know they were that efficient. I will definitely have to get one!! That’s for the feedback!

Pitch hopper is the king AT $100 it is the cheapest as well .. I like ridge pro is much more forgiven than goat and 500 times easier than rope and harness

@@boashna regarding the Ridge Pro (RP) I’ve watch some videos where they used anchor bolts. Obviously as adjusters we cannot (or should not) do this. Is it recommended to use the RP, without anchor bolts? If not using the anchor bolts you ever have a situation where the RP came off the ridge or became unsecured?

goat can slip from ridge if tension is not right . Ridge pro does not do that but if you lost control of ridge pro on assent and descent the damages will be substantial due to its weight . I will have all 4 systems . goat, sas, ridge pro and pitch hopper cheaper than medical bill from fall .

@@pattersonadjustertraining The RP has a pitch setting up to 12/12. If you have it set correctly for what pitch you're on it is very stable and secure without it being anchored to the roof. Don't have to adjust for a 10x10 test square as far as swinging goes.

I’ve watched several videos about the pitch hopper. I’ll have to get one and try it out. Looks like it works really well. If you have used one let me know what you think.
