"Womanhood is defined by periods." * twelve seconds later * "Defining womanhood by the ability to bear children is hurtful and discriminatory." Damn, make up your mind sis.
it’s so stupid when people define women by just the ability to give birth or have periods when they know damn well there are women out there that cannot give birth due to health problems and can’t have their periods because of hormonal problems - those people are still women. same goes for people who do have the ability to give birth and have periods but don’t identify as a woman, they are also valid. it’s just frustrating.
@@luvciriiThat's one thing I always like to emphasize. we have to show them that even if you try to follow their transphobic logic, it doesn't make sense. Their attempts to 'protect cis women' end up hurting them. Take, for example, those who oppose trans women using girls' bathrooms out of fear of harassment. Ironically, the most common harassment cis women face often comes from men who mistake slightly masculine cis women for trans women and violently attack them. I don't know if this happens frequently in the US, but it happens a lot where I'm from. Unfortunately, my country holds the tragic title of having the highest rate of trans murders globally, despite having laws aimed at protecting them from prejudice. Clearly, more needs to be done to address this ongoing issue.
Agreed. As another transgender male, I'm always afraid of what others have to say. Especially in front of me in school where they know I'm Transgender..
This all reminds me of the fear people had that gay marriage was undermining "traditional" marriage and threatening to straight couples. You are not any less straight if gay marriage exists, you are not any less of a woman if trans women exist. You can just coexist and be totally fine because neither of those affect your life in the slightest.
Yeah some of those commercials that released when gay marriage was legalized were so jarring to the point of hilarity.....people actually are like this...
It’s like satanic panic for gay people, and now for trans people. Some folks will always find a way to make everything their business, even if it completely unaffected them. It’s like if I got intensely involved in Italian politics to the point of insulting others, even though I’m not Italian or living in Italy. Just a waste of time and energy.
When that guy just outed himself as trans just to take a dunk on the girl who said “well it’s all the men on that side and all the women on this side”, I screamed. That was alpha. That was an alpha move.
@@georgiasoaps the women were literally making womenhood out to be a competition of who goes through the most hardship. like i get that starting your period was a big thing for them, i had to go through that too and i hated it, but trans women not experiencing that awkward time doesn't take away from anyones womanhood or their definition of it
@@annieliina there’s also the fact that not all cis women have periods either, due to conditions, weight, or menopause. Their entire argument is completely baseless.
@@sneakysnek572 And there are trans women on hormones that do experience things like period cramps, even if they don't bleed. They have mood swings, as well. So, even then, their whole argument isn't even based in biological reality, because biological reality supports both cis and trans people.
Leon is such a brave guy for sticking his neck out and talking about his experience as a trans man right to the face of these uneducated people. You could see him shaking, yet he still kept talking and standing up for trans people. Absolute legend.
I was watching his expressions cause my trans-radar went off with him, as a trans guy, and watching the pain and biting-of-one's-tongue he was doing while she spoke and just screaming inside, oh god.
When you held the microphone to the camera and asked about being picked on for being trans I teared up a bit 😭😭 Also the fact that they were all calling all three of the men, men and then that one guy revealed he was trans and basically proved to them that they see trans men as men (and most likely trans women as women) WAS SO GOOD. Like people always think they can tell, but they can't

@@HiBuddyyyyyy It's exactly for this reason you can tell that the show had transphobic motives. They NEEDED to make sure all the men disagreed with the women so that people would conclude that the men were wrong.
I've never made such a shocked and disgusted face before, it completely took me aback. It's disappointing that these were the "feminists" they chose because they don't represent true feminism. A real feminist would stand with and fight for the trans community, especially our trans sisters.

"Based on what? Because you don't agree with it? "No, it's scientific facts." I love it. She seems so bothered by him calling out JKR. Also, even before her transphobic bs, the way she wrote Cho Chang (and other characters) was really racist and sexist. In HP, it always bothered me how every woman, who is not meant to be like by the reader, is described as a stereotypical girl, who's conventionally pretty, like pink and heart and cheesy stuff and is soooo annoying.
It's ironic that J.K Rowling herself doesn't seem to be that feminine. Not that that's a problem. Just sth that I noticed. Edit: Sorry, I misunderstood your point earlier (I was a bit sleepy). I think that what you're saying perfectly aligns with the 'I'm not like other girls' phenomenon. This misogynistic society often denigrates femininity by associating negative traits with it. It's disheartening that someone like J.K. Rowling, who claims to support women (though many would argue otherwise 😌), portrays this in her characters. Some things that evidenciate this misogyny are: One common trope in movies, cartoons, and media in general is the portrayal of gay men or effeminate men as somehow perverse or associated with negative traits attributed to femininity. For instance, consider the villain character in 'Powerpuff Girls'. Another example is the yin and yang theory, where femininity is depicted as cold, negative, and perverse, while masculinity is portrayed as warm, virtuous, positive, and good. There's also a famous (ish) American lesbian pseudo-intellectual who frequently criticizes women simply for being women. She once ridiculously criticized Taylor Swift, and I seriously believe that all her dislike for Taylor stems from the fact that Taylor is that stereotypical feminine girl who sings about her boyfriends. She believes she's superior to the 'regular woman' because she's more masculine. In her narrow-minded perspective, this somehow elevates her almost to the status of men (a goal she clings to in her limited view). Not surprisingly, she is also massively transphobic, vehemently denying the existence of trans people. Ironically, she identifies as feminist. You know, things are funny-I personally don't like to tell people how they should identify, but in this case, I feel strangely compelled to contest her Identity 😌. I won't mention her name because she doesn't deserve the attention. Ridiculous people belong in anonymity.
As a "biological female" myself, I have never in my life understood why other women feel so defensive about the concept of what makes someone a woman. Like, they can agree that doing "girly" or "feminine" things doesn't make you a woman, but then also agree that you aren't less of a woman because you no longer have periods or can't give birth because of a medical issue. So, if you agree with all of those things, why do you have an issue with trans women? Oh right, it's because trans women are men :/
I’ve discussed this before, as an immigrant from the USA to Germany, when I was finally decided to make the move, I had people say, “oh you’re moving back home?” And it’s like… yes, but also no, I’ve never been a resident there before. People “sort of” have an idea of what it means to be an immigrant that naturalizes to another country, but many of them say, “yeah, but you didn’t grow up here, so you’re not,” and I’ve actually had people tell me that I’m confused, because I consider myself a German prior to getting citizenship. Like, WTF? Why would I get citizenship, if I didn’t already identify as a German? Why would an American _ever_ go through the process of getting German citizenship without already identifying as German first? … It’s maddening that people can’t even accept changing nationality, let alone changing gender… What makes me live my life as a German as opposed to an American? There’s no _biology_ there, and even considering citizenship by blood, I fit into that narrow provision as well. It is absolutely absurd the lengths that people will go to to reject a person’s identity and say that they are confused (when the person they’re accusing of confusion is the _least_ confused person in the conversation), and I’m _not even talking about being trans._ People fucking _SUCK_ sometimes.
I would answer "No they are not 'real women', but they aren't exactly 'men' either, they are their own thing, their own category." So really the question is the problem.
@@HopefulGaijin I said they weren't 'real women' I didn't say they weren't 'women' at all or in no sense. Trans Women aren't women just because they feel more women, that is gender dysphoria which is a form of disassociation. The particulars can be nasty but its best that we use our terms right.

Feminism isn’t just about women, yes feminists are talking about women’s rights mostly right now but that’s because it is important. They also focus on toxic masculinity though which is a big problem. Feminism is about equal rights for ALL genders, not “both”, not one, but ALL. Of course transgender isn’t a gender in it self, but trans men are men and trans woman are women, and if you can’t support that then you’re not a feminist. J.K. Rowling was not a feminist cuz she didn’t support trans people, period!

Yeah, I'm uncomfortable around men/males and I'm amab. Because, I was sexually assaulted by a cisgender man/male when I was five and my father wasn't the best father. In fact, he was hardly in my life and was a piece of sh*t. Other men have treated my mother badly. I am afraid of men more than women, I'll admit. But, the difference is, I don't let that fear control me. And I treat everyone equally despite those fears. It's almost like transphobes would rather us trans people off ourselves to save them the work of trying to include us in society.
The fact that she was like "trans women dont go through the cramps, blood, etc" but some trans women go through something called a phantom period...which LITERALLY causes the same cramps, cravings, headaches, mood swings, hot flashes, but no blood.
This and some cis women have never had a period. It’s just ignorance and sweeping generalizations from ppl who think a woman is a certain way. One of my best friends was actually like born without one or something and it just baffles me how uneducated people are. I didn’t realize that was a thing till she told me and she explained everything and not once would I ever think “wow maybe she’s not ACTUALLY a woman.” My mom got her uterus removed because she was bleeding every single day. @@ac2060 And this comment is exactly why I don't support identity politics despite being on the left. Something said is not more or less accurate based on who says it, or what their gender, race or sexuality is. It is important for you to look into other people's experiences and realities if you aren't part of the group in question, but once you have done your research, you have the right to speak on the topic without it coming of as patronizing or being just plain wrong. It would be same if I were holding a presentation of what issues veterans are facing, and it would certainly be a problem if I as a non-veteran didn't talk to some of them, didn't do any kind of research, etc. but still acted like I knew everything about what they're facing. If you don't have the experience, you have to research it, but once you've researched it properly, it literally doesn't matter who or what you are.
The idea that going through a period makes you a woman is also really stupid because it’s literally minimizing the experience of being a woman down even further than they say trans women do.
The simple truth is that they don't care about other women, cis or trans. That's why their arguments don't hold any value. Their only goal is personal gain.
You should hear what they said about period products and abortion. They’re just pro birthers who minimize women to giving birth and are reactionary against anything outside of the old traditional way of thinking. Wait wait wait, there is a difference between trans people existing and trans people being the same as biological women though. Honestly I think the question in the video was just badly asked aswell. I think it should have been: "Do you think there is a difference between a trans woman and a biological woman?" Everything else, well, I dont really see how it adds anything of value, the question "Are trans women women"" is already set up to produce dividing answers, because biological woman do feel that there is a difference and they want to express that. There are other ways to do that than to deny trans women their womanhood but if the question is asked in this way, they may feel like they need to express it by denying it.

if all women's experiences inherently relate to biology and not to how society treats women, what's the point of feminism? it would imply sexism is biological and therefore unchangeable
true, but a lot of sexism against women happens because of our biology/the fact we have vaginas. from period huts to poor medical research on AFAB bodies to potentially being able to be impregnated. it all has a role in the sexism against women. a lot of men claim women are inferior BECAUSE we're born female. trans women face surface level misogny, but they'll never experience what its like being born AFAB, especially in most places in the world.
@@ac2060 Im just going to talk from a western perspective. On a theoretic level men can justify their treatment towards women through cis women's biology, but on practice that won't mean they will be selectively sexist to cis women. Usually they can't tell whether a woman is cis or not. And if they do, they often treat them much worse than they would to any cis woman, but not with the privileges of a man Outside from period stigma and reproductive rights, I do not think I as a cis woman face more struggles than a trans woman.
I hate the whole "you can be a masculine woman, or a feminine man, but no no to trans people." as a GNC trans dude. He can have an opinion and doesn't need to bow down to the accepted mainstream dogma!" or whatever kinda bullshit talking points these transphobes use.
Guess it depends which of JKs quotes you are referencing. I see both, incorrect information and opinion. The problem is that these two are mixed up. As a woman, I do have to say (as much as I hate the stupid bathroom debate) I would uncomfortable being in a changing room with someone with male genitals, simply because they can potentially be used to abuse me. I can see how that can at the same time hurt a trans woman if she was exclude from that changing room for this reason, however I think I am allowed to express my need for a feeling of safety. I dont really care who those genitals belong to, but they can be used to hurt me. Its sort of like the presence of a gun in the room, regardless of who it belongs to. It has nothing to do with the individual I am in that changing room with.
@@-postapokalypso-7289 that doesn’t make sense though. Fingers can be used to abuse you just as well, but no one is considering banning fingers from restrooms. It’s also very degrading of you to reduce the male organ to a weapon to abuse people.

We should not forget that and make them all the same, because we are bound to create blind spots that way. JKs concern, considering her trauma of abuse is an intense fear of men, but you could also just call it a fear of male genitals and what they can do to you. I dont share her opinion, but I do share discomfort being in a womens space with someone with male genitals, only because there is always the potential that they could be used to hurt me, its just my need for safety kicking in here. I do see the issue that you cant ask a trans person what genitals they have every time, that would be really tasteless. But at the same time, I would like to feel completely safe in some spaces. Thats really important to me.
When they answered the “are trans women women” thing, it shined so much light on the jk rowling question. I literally went “oooh, terfs, that explains things”
Its not a very good question to ask. Why do we need to ask it that way? Why did the women answer the way they did? I think it was, because they felt that there was a difference between a biological woman and a transwoman and didnt know how else to express that. And i think a lot of our issues come from people badly expressing what they mean and others not giving them the benefit of the doubt. What if they just wanted to say: But there are differences between us, even if we are all real women, our experiences are different. Trans women will share experiences that bio women wont share and vice versa.
Part of me is glad I'm not there, because when that girl started using the "It's basic high school biology" argument, I started making fun of it and that could be considered rude. I studied biology and the subjects of Embryology, Reproduction, Endocrinology and Genetics were my favorites. Maybe that would be equivalent to: "I am going to solve this complex math problem only with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division" In addition, they should not try to solve a social and psychological problem (such as gender dysphoria) with an entry-level science book.
I know you probably won't see this but I could seriously watch your videos for hours. Your videos are super sarcastic and hilarious and honestly make my day. Please don't stop
We spend our entire lives saying "Don't judge a book by its cover", and yet these women are judging the cover of these Trans women saying they can't be women based off of their covers and not what they have experienced inside or created inside of their shells! I am pissed!!
Because to them, cis people are books and trans people are magazines. It’s societally unacceptable to judge a book by its cover. A magazine however? Society views it as something to be judged almost exclusively by its cover though they’re both bindings of paper with words and pictures in them between two covers.
a bit heartbreaking to see how this conversation basically forced the trans man to out himself (Unless he already mentioned that he was trans before, idk I'm not giving jubilee any views) but that's how it is many times for us. When people realize that they are discussing trans issues with a trans person that they percieved to be cis before that, their stance immediately tends to change because they are reminded that there are many trans people who blend into society perfectly well. It sucks, because not only does this once again paint an image of 'oh well if you are a PASSING trans person, I guess you can be tolerated' but also makes being trans itself into a form of activism. Man, can't we just exist 😔
Exactly, I just want to exist as a non-binary transfemme bad b*tch that enjoys listening to music, writing poetry, being respectful towards every sex/gender, etc.
this one really broke my soul. it’s hard to see people who consider themselves feminists bringing being a woman down to reproductive organs. why can’t people just stfu abut trans people, wtf did we ever do to you?
I just felt really upset watching that:( Leon really helped me feel better. This is not a competition but she made it so. I'm sure there's always someone going through worse. But we transwoman (transmen too ofc for men) go through almost the same things cis women go through. Looking & thinking as a woman, are we any less likely to be assaulted? To be r##ped? To getting catcalled? To be afraid to walk at night? To get discriminatory treatment in work, school or any other place? To get sexism? etc.. No we're the same and even more likely to get all those and much more since we're not just women, we're trans women. And as a transwoman I sometimes feel like I get treated as nothing more than a toy since I'm not perceived as real girl. And even less likely to get married to a normal man I want. Why? We get all that without all the biological treasured(for me) aspects that cis women are born with, like pregnancy. So please don't talk about experiences. Also feminism is advocating for all(genders), because advocating for men's rights is the same as advocating for women's rights! How does it not make sense? It's like unraveling two sides of the same web. So yeah, feminism's core value is equality for all. Thank you Sam🤍

I love how all the women disagreed with trans women because now I have another reason to be scared to transition, like I seriously just don’t get why my existence and every trans persons existence is such a problem. No one ever asks to be born so why are so many of us hated for being born in a slightly different way to the “norm”
For real. It's stupid as hell. Like sorry, my randomly assigned body isn't to my liking. How is that your business if I call it a female's body or a man's body based on how I personally feel comfortable? Damn.
Feminism is the advocation and fight for equality of all individuals regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation etc. it is much bigger than just women but I recognize the focus on women’s issues and how the movement was popularized by cis women in the 70s. Those women who we idolize throughout the history of feminist discussion were also fighting and advocating for the rights of all the other marginalized communities as well. If someone considers themselves a feminist but doesn’t acknowledge the struggles specific to marginalized groups who are also fighting for equality, they should not be able to call themselves a feminist. Feminism is equality for all. If you’re not an intersectional feminist you’re no feminist to me.
I hate this "basic biology" argument because yeah it is basic biology, emphasis on the word BASIC. As in what we tell to children to begin teaching them the facts of the world. Same way you teach "the sun allows plants to make their own food" at first, it is actually so much more complicated than that. If you want to stick with the kids level of information you do that, but leave the adult conversations to the adults.

Something I find really funny is when they say "it's highschool biology" because my brother is studying biology and chemistry at university and he says that often times they tell you to disregard what you learnt in high school because it's often oversimplified or straight up false.
The argument of "its basic biology" never made sense to me because every subject is "basic" at some point and then you move to a. higher education and it becomes more complex. It's like arguing something is "basic physics" or "basic math" because you didn't take the more complex, career building courses past high school. Like the general photosynthesis equation is also "basic biology" and guess what? it gets a whole lot more complicated even just in first year uni biology because high school only teaches an introduction to the subjects and it is up to you to persue high education if you wnat to. But if you choose not too it means you have to accept that you only received a minimum education on those subjects.

Their logic doesn't "logic"🤣
You can see Leon's discomfort the whole time once people start arguing about trans validity. I felt that.
Agreed. As another transgender male, I'm always afraid of what others have to say. Especially in front of me in school where they know I'm Transgender..
This all reminds me of the fear people had that gay marriage was undermining "traditional" marriage and threatening to straight couples. It’s like satanic panic for gay people, and now for trans people. Some folks will always find a way to make everything their business, even if it completely unaffected them. Also, even before her transphobic bs, the way she wrote Cho Chang (and other characters) was really racist and sexist. 💯
she's overall transphobic, racist and antisemitic. im tired of ppl defending her and her books
Oh right, it's because trans women are men :/
you said it perfectly!

As a mexican feminist this made me so mad, this girls do not represent the movement, the movement does include trans women CAUSE THEY ARE WOMEN TOO, they CAN get treated like women by society, it doesn´t only involve biological terms, and as long as they are willing to fight for the movement its okay, its great actually
Im so pissed off, cause living in Latin countries you only here about feminist in a connotative sense, and this feminist representation they are giving it's really harmful and does not represent the movement at all

So my mom without a uterus isn't a woman anymore. Thanks for your input honey
One of my best friends was actually like born without one or something and it just baffles me how uneducated people are. I didn’t realize that was a thing till she told me and she explained everything and not once would I ever think “wow maybe she’s not ACTUALLY a woman.”
My mom got her uterus removed because she was bleeding every single day. She can no longer have kids (not that she wanted to anymore anyways this is fairly recent) and that does make her less of a woman. It’s just so nasty for cis women to dictate what a woman is when they have a certain privilege that other cis women may have. It’s so close minded and I’ll never ever understand this thought process that trans women aren’t women because they can’t give birth?
Also they don’t have a problem with trans women they have a problem with cis men and they should be talking about how dangerous men are instead of people who just want to live their lives as women.
@@Thatgenderconfused3mo exactly and vice versa, are men born with dicks are not men anymore? There are even cases of bio men or women born with the opposite chromosomes, so what makes them then? These people are so preoccupied with their prejudice ass mindset to even look around at facts for once.

Not trying to be disrespectfull. Because what happend to your mom must be awfull. And I'm sorry for that. But to be clear "not anymore" is vastly different from "never had it to begin with" on a biological level.
@@Biolo-G_KJ if you can’t read just say that. Correct me if I’m interpreting what you’re but my best friend wasn’t born with a uterus and was born a girl and is now a woman and it doesn’t take away her identity as a BIOLOGICAL woman in the slightest. Regardless you missed the point. People who say women are only women because of a period, uterus, vagina, and able to reproduce completely disrespect the women who can’t or don’t have what is deemed to make a woman a woman.
I absolutely burst into tears at what Leon said, he’s so beautiful
7:46
The person who brought up the science of being transgender (Johnathan?) never said that. Never claimed it. They never even gave him a chance to speak after the girl in yellow asked him at 6:45. They’re projecting the misogyny onto him, saying hurtful things toward him, and when he tries to defend his beliefs, they play the “you’re being misogynistic” card.
Respect has nothing to do with gender or sex. They completely dehumanized Johnathan by projecting beliefs onto him without giving him a chance to stand up for himself.
Shout out to all those guys, seeing them do their best to explain everything was nice
men explaining feminism to women. totally not misogynistic at all. Jesus Christ.
idc how fucked up a woman views are. men don't get to explain feminism to women the way white ppl don't get to explain anti-blackness to me, or the way straight ppl don't get to lecture a gay person on what homophobia really is. letting the oppressor speak over the oppressed on their own issues is never a good idea.
@@ac2060 yes but in this case the women were upholding oppressive structures, they weren't explaing feminism they were explaining transphobia
Seriously. They claim that trans women are invalidating women, meanwhile the transmisogynists are actively invalidating trans and cis women
Yeah you can get a job in their eyes, but you still have to procreate or else you’re useless.

I passed for years in my mid teens and early 20's long before I came out, due to being short with a girlish build. I went through much of the same as cis women. That's one reason I didn't come out til 33. I got a taste of how shitty women get treated, so I tried everything to not transition.
Oh? Periods? Yeah, maybe I don't get those, but neither do plenty of cis women.
I dunno, "A woman is just her anatomy and reproductive function" doesn't sound very "feminist" to me. 🤔🤷🙄🤦
Exactly, and does a woman stop being a woman after the menopause or a hysterectomy? No, of course not. Reducing women to their ability to reproduce is what MYSOGINISTS have been doing this whole time. Why are TERFS siding with them just to exclude trans people from feminism?
@@BisexualLizard Gives me the same vibes as people who say they aren't racist but then sort of overly correct so much that they go in a circle and end up being racist. @@dianahaymze623 And? You got a point there, buddy?
@@DeathnoteBB The point is that it doesn't prove that someone is a woman. Everything that women experience, men experience too. Women just experience it on a much larger scale.

What kind of person has so little empathy that they would curse someone to live their life in the wrong body. Everyone should just be themselves. As long as you aren't hurting anyone why do you care?! Just be who you are in your heart!
Leon really absolutely nailed that argument. It was so satisfying to watch.
I hated that they pulled out the “I notice all the men are over there.” You don’t speak for all women. Women come in all different kinds of packages and they are all 100% valid. I think it should have been: "Do you think there is a difference between a trans woman and a biological woman?"
Everything else, well, I dont really see how it adds anything of value, the question "Are trans women women"" is already set up to produce dividing answers, because biological woman do feel that there is a difference and they want to express that.
There are other ways to do that than to deny trans women their womanhood but if the question is asked in this way, they may feel like they need to express it by denying it.

if all women's experiences inherently relate to biology and not to how society treats women, what's the point of feminism? it would imply sexism is biological and therefore unchangeable
^^
Explained perfectly
No see, only what they agree with is biological /s
true, but a lot of sexism against women happens because of our biology/the fact we have vaginas. from period huts to poor medical research on AFAB bodies to potentially being able to be impregnated. it all has a role in the sexism against women. a lot of men claim women are inferior BECAUSE we're born female. trans women face surface level misogny, but they'll never experience what its like being born AFAB, especially in most places in the world.
@@ac2060 Im just going to talk from a western perspective. On a theoretic level men can justify their treatment towards women through cis women's biology, but on practice that won't mean they will be selectively sexist to cis women. Usually they can't tell whether a woman is cis or not. And if they do, they often treat them much worse than they would to any cis woman, but not with the privileges of a man
Outside from period stigma and reproductive rights, I do not think I as a cis woman face more struggles than a trans woman.
I hate the whole "you can be a masculine woman, or a feminine man, but no no to trans people." as a GNC trans dude. I am very much a binary trans man, I have physical dysphoria, genital dysphoria, I had to start HRT at 17 due to severe severe dysphoria that would've, I probably wouldn't've made it to 18 without it, but I am NOT masculine in the slightest. I'm barely "feminine", I lay in the middle for the most part and always have. But masculinity is far far from what I would ever call myself as I fit more feminine roles and expectations than masculine ones.
It's so insulting to me, personally, to basically be told I don't exist because I'm not masculine enough to just be a masculine woman, but apparently not man enough to be a feminine/androgynous man. What the fuck am I then, god?

"Its just JK Rowlings opinion"
Yeah but because of her massive platform she has influence on people and politics and can do so much harm for trans women
Also it’s not an opinion. It’s bigotry and scientifically incorrect. “Ice cream is gross” is an opinion, “trans people are lying cis people” is a lie.
Imagine if they used this terrible argument for racists, misogynists or homophobes "Well, it's just his opinion that gay people on TV influence kids to become gay and therefore that should be heavily regulated.

@@ВладСетонов So you admit trans men(biological females) are men and should be excluded from feminism? Glad to have an ally! /s
I do think JK is a feminist, because she is in fact fighting for women. It gets a bit tricky, since that should include trans women, however, I think feminism including trans women is a bit different from the earlier feminism anyway since trans women face some different issues to biological women and vice versa.
Maybe that would be equivalent to: "I am going to solve this complex math problem only with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division"
In addition, they should not try to solve a social and psychological problem (such as gender dysphoria) with an entry-level science book.

It sucks, because not only does this once again paint an image of 'oh well if you are a PASSING trans person, I guess you can be tolerated' but also makes being trans itself into a form of activism. why can’t people just stfu abut trans people, wtf did we ever do to you?

Damn.
😓 I don't know why people are like this
I will be doing my best to be supportive of lgbtq+ people
And every other marginalised community
