I swear these people must really think that r@pists will see the women's sign on a restroom and go "Aw squat! I was going to harass some women, but this bathroom is only for ladies, and I'd never go in there without a good enough reason." Like a fucking bathroom sign is gonna stop a predator.

Statistically public bathrooms are pretty safe places. Public, well lit, a part of or near high traffic locations, and not private. Of course there are exceptions and currently all the politics are making public bathrooms significantly less safe for trans people. But historically bathrooms and change rooms are not where women and AFAB people need to be particularly worried.

I talked to a forensic person on Twitter recently who told me that with even existing technology they'd be able to figure out from bones that a person was trans. (Assuming HRT for some period of time.) So not only would this theoretical archeologist not misgender us, they'd also be able to say that we were trans. Pretty cool stuff but obviously beyond grade 5 science that the phobes adhere to.

Most modern archeologists also adhere to strict moral codes and respecting the body of the person you are examining includes respecting their culture, gender and lifestyle among other things. Also about 100 percent of the time if we are just looking at bones we are guessing the sex. It's never 100 percent certainty when examining bones alone.

I think they know there's more than xx and xy but as a Sunday school teacher taught me those people are just "extra female or extra male" and also considered abominations and blunders of God. They know intersex people exist, they just fucking hate them and want to fix them as soon as possible. @@richie9878 It's more likely they'll identify the gender based on artifacts found nearby. If, for whatever reason, they decide to engage in the rather imprecise undertaking of identifying the _sex_ of the subject, they may then determine that the subject is cis- or transgender, whichever the case may be. They'll observe this nuance because it's well established in anthropological disciplines that transgender and third-gender people have existed in many, many cultures throughout history and across the world.

I worked in social services (group home environment) and we had a youth who was trying to find themselves. They changed names and genders weekly in order to help them to find what felt the most honest to them. We went every single step of the way with them... Just holding their hand through this confusing time.
They eventually felt they were non binary and gay. It was truly a beautiful (and sometimes difficult) thing to see/support them through. But they're extremely happy now and THAT'S what matters the most.

@Dave Hanning well, if gay is being used as a specific sexuality, then the definition of that it is an attraction to someone who is not a woman that is coming from someone who is also not a woman. Seeing us out in the world in real life living our best lives, not only on the internet. It was such a nice experience for me, tho I didn't actually talk to them. I kinda would've loved to ask them for their pronouns as a little gesture that shows "I get you, I see you! You're doing well, you're not alone and I'm one of you". But I was too shy and didn't know whether they'd appreciate it. Later my mom told me that she couldn't figure out that person's gender. I once again realised that for so many people, knowing someone else's gender is extremely important when really, it isn't necessary.

And they will transition if they so choose. Hating your kids is not the way. The kid left the school soon after. And the parents came to fuss at the teacher for "turning" their kid.

Also i do not think that some random ass person would dig my rotting corpse up to DNA test my bones to see what gender i was assigned at birth, neither do i think would that work on anyone because one theres people who cremate, and second its a random person probably no one cares to dig up and third i think that people in the future will be more (probably) accepting towards trans people.

The whole "XX or XY chromosomes only" argument is not just stupid, it is entirely wrong. Yes, those are the usual chromosome pairings, but people can have mutations with their 23rd set of chromosomes, some common examples are:
    Turner Syndrome: X Chromosome
    Klinefelter Syndrome: XXY Chromosomes
    Jacob's Syndrome: XYY Chromosomes
    Triple X Syndrome: XXX Chromosomes
These aren't horribly rare either, going like this (estimates):
    Turner Syndrome: 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 2,500
    Klinefelter Syndrome: 1 in 500 to 1 in 660
    Jacob's Syndrome: 1 in 1,000
    Triple X Syndrome: 1 in 1,000
In fact, you could even say these are somewhat COMMON, so, no, there is not only XX or XY

I was misgendered once on purpose because I have a bit of facial hair. I don’t look like a man at all. I am AFAB and Cis. This Karen had to leave quickly because she felt so uncomfortable with my presence there. I didn’t even move a muscle. That’s power there. Power is to strike fear into Karen’s everywhere without moving a finger!!!!

On your chromosomes it says 'XX or XY or XXY or the other few variations'
No-where does it say 'Woman' or 'Man'.
Languages separate people by chromosomes using pronouns, for no needed reason.
People's gender in their body and brain develop separately, so the same way your genetics can make you intersex, your mind can be disaligned to your body.
The weirdest thing is in countries where the culture completely bans any reference to the LGBTQ plus community, there are still members of the community (and in ancient remains, animals etc... so being in this community is literally only ignored and bad in one context, someone decided to be a dick).
If 'facts don't care about your feelings' then why are all these facts overlooked. Like even if trans people only seem 'sick' to you (weird as there are animals that display being trans) then why does the treatment which works matter to you. Begging to 'not be a part of the delusion' makes it sound like the only obstacle to their factually-proven-effective-treatment is your feelings.
Fact: social (and sometimes physical) transitioning helps people with gender dysphoria live so much happier after a long time of preventable suffering.
Nationality is mainly a social thing (it is influenced by genetics to ,as you are more likely to live in a certain region due to having specific genetics, but people still connect their identity to where they grew up which can differ from what is expected from their race).
Race is almost fully genetic, like sex, but include things like mutations that change hormone levels that cause a different phenotype to what you expect, also caused by tumors that grow after birth.
I am black and british. One is genetic and one part is my social identity standpoint.
A transman for example has shown his genetic past in the 'trans' part (really only relevent to doctors though) and the 'man' part shows their social place.
No-one would ever choose to suffer the life of being trans ,especially in third-world-countries. Yet they do.
Overall when society tries to push away people it believes cannot 'fit' in its system, it does this by dehumanising them.
Examples: the holocaust, the greek trandition of allowing disabled babies to freeze to death, segregation, the apartheid, the murder of trans and gay people by law and socially, the murder of apostates in religiously governed countries.
It all starts with dehumanisation, then tolerance of such dehumanisation, then the obsession of 'ridding' these people, then public attacks both by government authorities (for example the ban on abortion in the USA) and by locals (shootings, lynching etc...)
People think its 'these people' that cause the trouble ,by existing, when its those who wage a war against them that cause the issue. The ignorance is unbelievable as most people deem themselves as intelligent. You can be both intelligent and socially conditioned to be ignorant.
I like to think of the world as a place in which people engineer the future.
Facts- the current place of the world.
Feelings- the emotions that drive the goals ,which by using facts (like physical facts), can become reality (like a trans person physically transitioning with hormones and surgery).
The idea that facts have a holy status is already an established fallacy, the natural fallacy.
Just because one thing is true , someone is born in a male body, does not mean that changing this fact is evil.
Honestly it is also a fact that our bodies can be feminised or masculinised just as much as it is a fact that our bodies are born in an initial state.
I ,as a hopeful future engineer, see the world as a canvas for human emotion to morph into a happy, individualistic (so inclusive) world.
Saying a trans person is unnatural is like saying humans flying (paragliding) is unnatural or like saying women playing basketball is unnatural. So what. Their happy.
The irony is that we made up: gender roles, the concept of only two sexes (false), sports, medicine, countries, strict races, pronouns etc...
Apparantly they are not allowed to be adapted to suit the needs of today and the future. That is the DEFINITION of UNSUSTAINABILITY.
OK I am done now. Do not expect anyone to read all this. 😅

Just a small correction, every cell does have all 46 chromosomes (23 pairs including the sex ones). Obviously this doesn’t have anything to do with how someone identifies.

The only thing I think needs to be figured out is the whole "trans people in the olympics" etc stuff. Obviously there needs to be something figured out because it's just straight unfair advantages to have a trans woman against binary women, that's the only thing that sticks out to me, it's just obviously something that can't stick, there needs to be some sort of secondary thing specifically for trans people. But aside from that, I'm a full supporter.
