- Top 10 Famous BLACK HARVARD SCHOOL GRADUATES America Celebrates Till Date
Amid violence and debates over the limits of black people's free speech on increasingly diverse college campuses, a good many, often white, progressives have been left scratching their heads. While Harvard University, established in 1637, has a reputation for being a trendsetter in higher education, being one of the first major research universities to guarantee full financial aid to all low-income students admitted, it was not open access for black people. This explains the upswell of black Americans' frustration and struggles. However, blacks didn't give up, and many blacks entered Harvard. Who are these black scholars? Join us as we uncover the Top 10 Famous Black Harvard Graduates Envied by White.

Another forgotten Harvard Black Alumni was Puerto Rico's 🇵🇷 Pedro Albizu Campos (1893-1965), and if he is not 'famous' it is because the U.S. considered him an enemy, since he advocated the independence of the island. Graduated from Harvard Law School with the highest grade point average in his law class in 1921 while simultaneously studying literature, philosophy, Chemical Engineering and Military Science at Harvard College. Albizu Campos was fluent in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Latin and ancient Greek.
The resilience of Black folks is undeniable. For a people so subjugated and hated to achieve so much is unbelievable. I’m proud of my Black ancestry.

Henry Louis Gates Jr. graduated from Yale U (New Haven, CT / Bachelor's Degree) and Cambridge U (England / PhD). He's a distinguished professor of African & African American History at Harvard U (Cambridge, MA).
It this what is called unalloyed admiration for some tabloid figures. Be that as it may, one finds it more puzzling the jarring omissions of John Hope Franklin, Ralph Bauche, Sterling Allen Brown, among several others. All went to Harvard at that key juncture at one time or another. As a matter of fact, there was also a precocious student by the name Makonnen Desta in pre-med who came by way of American University of Beriut, Lebanon. In recent past Ms.Imelme Umanna became an editor of Harvard Law Review Journal and Dr. Mehret .Mandefero a distinguished graduate of medical school broke a barrier that has been dominated by patriarchy for too long.
Dr. Ralph Bunche, Diplomat, Nobel Prize Winner, former prof., Political Sc, Howard U (Washington, D.C.)
