Before they buffed forced overtime I actually felt that it was worse than hard labor. I usually play very methodical so I try to not go ham on everything and dodge more etc so I didn't have much trouble with the extra damage. However the extra speed is so jarring even at rank 1 (10% back then) I got hit all the time. But once you reach higher heats you are almost forced to take tight deadline and forced overtime as everything else does not only make the game harder but actually makes it less fun, like no choice and underworld customs. Even though it is the most effective I still don't like tight deadline and forced overtime as they transform your playstyle in a certain way. You are pretty much forced to go apeshit on everything and I'm just not a fan of that type of reckless playstyle. Hell I've seen most people just facetank Hades in the end because killing him faster negates more damage than trying to dodge.

Excellent guide. I'm sitting at about 7 heat on my runs lately and getting used to Forced Overtime is really challenging me - it feels like the biggest turn of the difficulty dial. I like to take the mechanics based ones first as well, like extreme measures, middle management, and forced overtime, just because they're ones I feel like you're eventually going to need to get used to, so you may as well practice it earlier before you have to really start making things tough. There's a lot of weapon aspect dependent nuances to heat choice later on, but yeah, early on those are good ones to get used to. Edit: Also, I used to always take heightened security, but... I'm pretty sure the green flasks on the Hades fight are affected, and they HUUUUURRRRRTTTT
Just got this game on the Switch a couple weeks ago. Finally beat my first run a couple days ago, and was really confused on how bounties worked. Thanks for the vid!
The one that increases trap and magma damage is absolutely brutal when you get to the second phase of the Hades fight. Getting caught by the green arms is basically an immediate death sentence.
Man, I was so disappointed: I just beat hades for the first time yesterday and I thought that the story continues like: demeter has frozen the world and now you can literally turn on the heat in hell to thaw the glaciers outside. That would have been sooo cool! Anyway, thanks for the video! Really helpful stuff!
And finally worth mentioning, that on Hell mode you have exclusive unremovable pact of having no I-frames aside from dash, Broken Spearpoint and Athena's boons.
I tried Calisthenics Program once thinking, "Oh, it's probably not a big deal"-I swear, I will never do it again. Even if you rank it up just once it takes longer to finish even one chamber, especially in Elysium :( I managed to escape that run but it was such a drag. Never Again 😭
I think the worst part is how it makes small ennemy over damage threshold you're used to. Like, those skulls in tartarus, not killing them in 1hit feels so bad and make them soooo much harder to deal with.
I agree with basically everything, and I think that the reason hard labor and lasting consequences are so crushing is because it punishes you for bad RNG. A bad build happens sometimes and I fell those 2 pacts capitalize on that. This is my personal opinion but I think the extreme measures pact is more fun, I just get bored of the base bosses now.
Forced overtime is weird for me. At my current skill level and play style, I notice that Hyper Sprint (faster after dodging) increases my win rate dramatically. It makes the game much easier for me and the Hades fight almost trivial. Forced overtime is the opposite effect. It makes me slower in relation to the enemies (mainly thinking hades here). I’ve never lost to hades so quickly as when I put on forced overtime. Maybe FO plus hyper sprint would even out but FO without HS means I can’t seem to avoid anything hades does. Again given my play style and skill level HS is one the my most highly sought after boons. I’d rather run calisthenics and use powerful builds than effectively running anti hyper sprint. I’m sure as I get better this will change but you don’t get to practice hades that much since he’s at the end of the run.
The problem with the Heat system is that it's still in development and get tinkered around the most out of all the game features I would say. Who knows? Maybe next patch will have a 4th lv of Extreme Measure and completely redo this heat system... again.
Super late comment but just wanted to say thank you for putting these guides together; for the first time since picking up the game I’m consistently making it to Hades (and escaping sometimes) but I’ve been overthinking how to increase the difficulty in ways that don’t make the game not fun to play anymore. I think I’m gonna start with Extreme Measures for the first 2 bosses and will take it from there.
For me, Budget Cuts is THE worst option, because even a single point cuts you off from so many benefits and makes your runs just feel weaker overall. Also, if you want to take it, you have to run back to your mirror first and fiddle with it and consider a whole other slew of options of how to make your run harder - almost like another pact of punishment. I find this to be neither well designed nor balanced.
Whilst you may dislike it, some players might not be interested in the shop. This option isn't meant for ALL players, it's meant for SOME players. It is a dramatically different play-style to the norm, but some players might like that. I personally don't run it, but I have been tempted! It's still too early game for me to consider running an "anti-gold" build. Basically I'm just trying to say is the option IS well designed, it's just for a more specific audience that helps broadens Hades appeal :-)
@@hamyman35 I'm refuting the claim that the perk is "not to be well designed nor balanced", not their personal opinion! Anyone and everyone is entitled to that :-)
Extreme Measures now causes good ol' Lernie to break off of the neck that keeps it in the center of the arena, upon reaching 1/3rd health, when it summons it's second wave of heads. Makes it a good bit more difficult, but still manageable.
Tbh from a game design perspective I really hate Lasting Consequences maxing out at 100% because it ends up turning off a large part of the game and making a lot of the boons and a few keepsakes do effectively nothing if not actually nothing. it gets even worse with Approval Process imo, nothing is lamer than going for, say, a Demeter boon, and then being forced to take 0% heal with 0% bonus healing because the other options are unavailable.
There are some. Effects that aren't reduced by lasting consequences. For instance stubborn defiance becomes a once per room heal, guan you spin attack still heals, Hermes dash heal still works. It requires a different playstyle for sure!
I find the fact that Lasting Consequences only gives 1 heat per rank, including the final one, is what makes it way to punishing for the cost. Maybe making it to 30% a rank and 3 total ranks, with an increase in the heat for the last rank would be better.
Heat. LoL how appropriate. Gotta love Supergames. I do. However, first I need to get to Hades. At some point. 36 attempts and counting. Then Heat. Because I can’t seem to put this game down lol. So thank you for the video! Stay safe.
When I first turned on Forced Overtime (20%, not max) while playing a run with each of the pact of punishment options individually activated to see how it would go i actually thought my game was glitched because I noticed so little difference and checked it multiple times during the run to make sure. I’m not bragging or anything, I suck at the game. It just has that little effect overall.
Ive been starting out by doing clears with tight deadline because I find it pretty easy to make it through within the 9min time limit. Kind of brutal that it goes down to mins on the second level though haha, so far my fastest clear was 28mins8seconds which would’ve been 8 seconds too slow. Thanks for another very useful video Edit: oh I just got to the part where you talk about tight deadline - that’s interesting, I assumed you just insta lost if you hit the time limit.
I just beat Hades last night at about escape 23~25 so this guide comes right on time. Gotta say this game is great for all the obvious reasons but also because of the way this system complements so well the upgrades you can unlock as you play the game. I had just 2 death defiances + Skelly and made the mistake of unlocking God's Favor (is this what more epic boon % prob. is called?) before Privileged Status...so I can see the game being quite easier than what I managed to clear given the upgrades you can achieve (didn't have an aspect or summon unlocked either). Gotta say the one you play with (faster enemies) seems a bit intimidating specially for stix where I felt some rooms could get a bit uncontrollable with the poison thing...do you use it maxed? 😥 Without having used any of the pact yet I'm curious about what the bounties are since they're question marks, I wish you had mentioned something about what we can look for but you probably had people who had already used the system in mind. At the moment just one heat is recommended to me but idk if increasing the heat will give me better rewards or if I have to go "step by step" increasing as the game suggests... All in all a great guide, your content is great man! I'm the 35 year old who asked about your white beard front in your most recent stream in twitch 😜 Gotta say if you keep it up I can see your stream growing and getting big so keep the grind up. Hades is amazing and the way you make content and interact with chat has potential to generate a great, even bigger community. May need to add a bit more of variety maybe within the roguelike genre (Spelunky 2 is coming soon wink wink) but to me it looks like you could grow a lot. RUclips guides like these can give you the notoriety you need for that (this is how I found you) as you noticed on your last twitch stream. So anyway, thanks! And good luck with all of this!
So basically, the bounties from beating a run are total 2 Titan's Blood, from Tartarus and Styx, which is used to upgrade your weapon aspects. 1 Ambrosia, from Elysium, used to befriend specific NPCs. They give you special keepsakes which summon various abilities when you give them their first ambrosia. Ambrosia is also used to upgrade these special keepsakes. Special Keepsakes also don't conflict with regular keepsakes. 1 Diamond, from Asphodel, which are used at the House Contractor for music, the fishing rod and more. Increasing the heat past the requirement doesn't do anything beneficial bounty wise. You can for fun, but you don't have to. If you beat the run, the heat requirement goes up one again, so you don't get better or later bounties. I heard the heat cap for each weapon goes to twenty, then just darkness. If you try to collect previous bounties, they're replaced by darkness.
Hey! Thanks for the kind words, and the question about my beard. Honestly, I feel like I don't talk about it enough on stream. 😂 I'm trying to do about a guide a week interspersed with my regular runs. The guides are fun, but a bit more work, as you might expect. As for the bounties, they are always the same: Titan's blood for Furies, Diamond for Hydra, Ambrosia for Theseus and Asterius, and Titan's blood again for Hades himself. If you die at any point, the bosses up to that point in the future will only offer darkness, so you have to do a full clear in order to get the bounties again, even if you up the heat even more. Hope that makes sense!
its so funny to me to see our opinions are almost total opposites... as someone who usually who sucks at games I find the ones you avoid all the time easier to get through :D I guess because I take my time going through the games
Also worth mentioning, that, apparently, You can't rerun with the weapon on X amount of heat if You cleared the run already, making it an eventuality that You will be softlocked in a save file once You clear all weapons all the way up to 47 heat. Nota bene, this applies to hell mode save, normal save allows you to run itself after beating.
It's a bit weird that you could potentially ruin your item collecting for a save by somehow completing on a high heat very early on. I feel like they need to implement a better system, like gaining multiple rewards for a big jump up in heat.
Yeah I was wondering how that worked. Makes it so that you really don't want to skip any heat when you want all the upgrades. You could technically ruin your save file completely if you were to run all weapons on full heat which is kinda stupid. Not that that would happen (hopefully) but it's something to consider.
@@Gerry9000000 but even then it does not solve more fundamental problem of the mode. If You can't rerun on a certain amount of heat, it means that eventually You'll softlock after reaching 30-ish heat, or however far You can go, and that's it, You won't be able to play on the save file anymore, because You can't break through on higher heat and are not allowed to try lower, so You just tryhard this amount You stuck on for eternity. And when You beat 47 heat and everything prior, You just quit. Seems not so rewarding of a mod.
Oh wow, how have this not been brought up to the devs? This is something they definitely want to change...Gonna have to check the dev discussions forums on steam to see if this has been brought up to say something if not.
Really enjoy the list, but find it super interesting how different your choices are than mine have been so far. I've been running heightened security since unlocking PoP and feel it's something you can get used to, and made me better about my positioning. I've also been running a point or two in hard labor because the normal enemies die so quickly, I don't notice much of a change. Will have to start using forced overtime and tight deadline, I like the quick runs anyways.
I just beat the game for the 3rd time...after the first I was running the calisthenics program for my heat...now I know why those other wins took so long
I usually like to run a level of Jury Summons quite early. Until world 3 I don't feel that the normal room enemies are that punishing, and you get a bit of extra coin from the extra kills to. So not just a pure downside. But then I really dislike Tight Deadline so might be part of it. Those doesn't really mix.
Just adding the pact of punishment is already difficult as it is, I haven’t used it at all at the moment, played the game for over a week now, and I only passed it once. Love the game though, so fun.
the first level of jury summons is fine but the second is already too much if you want to get two levels of tight deadline. heightened security is so awful in Styx considering the layout of certain rooms and the fact that hades urns will deal 150 damage, it should give at least 2 heat. hard labor is manageable with some boons but it makes the game a lot harder especially beacause let's face it most people will get hit by bosses at least a few times
Styx sounds scary with some of these yes...last night I was sitting pretty by Stix and made the mistake of opening an internal trove on a really ill layout-d room which spanned the whole room with rats which I couldn't kill fast enough and covered it with poison...may have ruined my run...lol
I kinda feel like underworld customs is a 2 heat freebie. I avoided it for a long time and then I realized that you actually want to sell boons way more often than I was doing. You don't really use all of them anyway most of the time, and you still get the obols with underworld customs. Also, it makes it alot easier to get palms and nectars on the boons you want them on. I kinda see this as free heat for doing what I should be doing anyway.
That's a good point! As I've done higher heat runs sometimes it can be a really good thing to keep the build lean. However I've been screwed out of a duo boon I was going for as well, which sucks!
@@JawlessPaul true, though I've also gotten the wrong duo by having to much stuff. Its all about selling off the right boons so you can control what the game gives you.
Also, for me, Calisthenics Program and Jury Summons are basically the same pact, it just depends on what build I have. If I'm going for a single target build, I take Calisthenics Program. If I'm going for an AOE build, I take Jury Summons. It just makes sense.
Loving the game, only picked it up, recently played 70 hours on it so far.. and almost 20 succesful playthroughs... your vid's have been super helpful... I do not watch the spoiler ones.. I do like to explore that myself.. I do have a query though about the Lasting Consequence... the hammer boon 'Draining Cutter' for the "dragon upcut' weapon.. :D.. I always shout that when using the special.. loving that weapon... so Streetfigher... anyways.. The boon heals +2 when killing with the special... does that still work with LC at max?
I... think so? Don't know that I've tried it myself, but I now that Guan Yu's spin attack still heals if you have 100% lasting consequences. So does Hermes' dash heal boon.
I'm not entirely sure that forced overtime is one that you can "get used" to. There's a limit to reflexes after all, and it becomes a massive problem against bosses like Asterius and Hades when you have to get up close with a melee weapon.
18:41 I would agree to disagree. Rail is one of the best weapon to deal with Damage Control with its Attack. The worst weapon to deal with it is the slow weapon like Spear, Bow or even Sword and its terrible animations.
Hes talking about if your focusing on the rail special, because all the mortars damage is frontloaded into a single instance of damage and its very slow. The primary fire has significantly lower range so going in to pop blue hearts with it is counterintuitive to the extreme range advantage the special gives you.
I'd say its about 80% accurate still. haelian and I did a vid about heat settings recently actually. That might be helpful. Biggest change is to tight deadline. It's much more forgiving so jury summons isn't quite so punishing in Elysium
I'm so glad I followed your advice with Extreme Measures and Forced Overtime. That helped get me to the final bounties and that 32 heat statue. I then took them all off for fun and the game is sooooooo much slower! Tisiphone, Asterius and the flamewheels couldn't touch me.
If you get past hydra for a certain heat but then die, and then increase the heat and beat it on the same weapon, will you get the blood for beating hades on the lower heat? And then will your ambrosia and blood on said higher heat show up as not obtained yet?
Yes, that's the case. If you collect Titian's Blood at 1 heat, then lose, then set the heat to 2, the bounties will still be those for 1 heat; you won't be able to collect the Titans Blood again bc you already go it (so you'll need to beat 2 heat again to collect the 2 heat bounties)
Well, you don't really have a choice. The first 5 heat are always the same on hard mode. If I were you though, I would switch to a regular save file. You will have more longevity with it... that is, if you are addicted to the game as I am! 😂
Jawless Paul I'm gonna struggle through for a while, starting with the furies while I try to finish the prophecies then going to grind for sisyphus and resources. The only one I'm not sure how to handle at all is the time but I didn't realize speed affected spawn time so that should help, my two clears have been at 40 minutes but I think most of that is on Elysium, and I've been playing low apm except for boss fights to conserve mental/physical energy and just out of laziness cause I didn't figure out how legendary boon spawning worked til yesterday (only started a few days ago 46 hours in). Have you ever tried doing Perfect rooms while under time constraint? I'm thinking that's how I want to start with the broken spear point
Calisthenics depends on what youre using, i cleared 32 heat with the rail that on before and it wasnt too rough but yes definetly takes longer if you arent going high dander damage output, also youre right aboit damage control. Its terrible for rail
So i am one of those guys that used calishenics one heat +hard labor one heat + jury summons one heat and got destroyed a lot when my dps wan not high as i wanted it to but i finally did it with bow hera aspect, shield zagreus aspect, sword nemesis aspect and spear achilles aspect! i was so bummed when i was thinking my built is just right and then i died couple chambers later also i recently did up the jury summons once more but only made it through the end with the shield. Well i made some progress but i will try different heat conditions next time for sure!
The more you beat him the more heat is required to keep earning rewards. You only need to get the heat gauge to 1 after beating him the first time. Then to 2 and then 3 for example
Can't seem to find an answer on this. I'm on my 5th or 6th heat run. Am I wasting my time choosing different weapons or should I just keep increasing with the same weapon? My goal is to progress the story
You will progress the story whether you beat the game or not, except for the MAIN story, which only progress when you are victorious. Which weapon you use doesn't matter at all. There are specific conversations that will only occur when you use certain weapons though. The nice thing about changing up weapons is that you get more blood without increasing your heat much higher.
Whenever I watch these videos I feel bad for using God mode because things like traps just don't affect me the same way as other people. Same thing with the extra damage since it's basically just playing the game normally
I started with Damage control for my first set of heats, can confirm it's a no brainer if you're still new to the game and just trying to run for prophecies or figuring out what you're doing.
Oof, that's tough, probably EM2, the 7 minute heat option, just hit the pause button and kill enemies as quick as you can. Maximize benefits package and middle management. Not sure how high that gets you , but you'd be close...
Honestly it's up to you to experiment and try stuff out! The only thing I'd caution is don't put a bunch of extra damage on and also reduce your healing, those are a couple of the most dangerous ones. I'd try each of the extreme measures fights. Like, do a run with EM1, then a run with EM2 etc. It's fun to learn each of those fights. Just be ready to die a bunch while you're learning 😂
I have a question, do you have to use heat to unlock aspects? I know this is an old video but I just got the game and have been watching your videos and you said you respond to them all so I was asking on the most relevant video
The heat system is what allows you to get bounties, which includes blood, which is needed to unlock weapon aspects. So, yes you need to clear heated runs to get enough blood to unlock weapon aspects. I have a few videos about getting blood and also about what are some good aspects that you can just spend one point on. Cheers!
I know this video is old but I'm just getting into Hades and this is super useful.
I'm glad it's been helpful!
Ditto! I just got my first escape and then it was all 'what the hell is this?!'. I feel slightly less bitter about it now lol
Same deal here
Just finally killed Hades 47 tries later so now this will be useful

Yeah. FO isn't something I use very often anymore. Just feels too punishing 😜
This helps a lot to understand what I’m taking on as I’m trying to max out my weapons and keep dying at 8 heat
I'm glad this was helpful! Cheers!
playing on ps5 for thge first time what a amazing game excellent video man very helpful
I just picked this up for ps5, yes I know this is an old video but man super helpful. Thank yoh
The problem with the Heat system is that it's still in development and get tinkered around the most out of all the game features I would say.
Who knows? Maybe next patch will have a 4th lv of Extreme Measure and completely redo this heat system... again.
I imagine it will all get revamped again. Could still be improved!
This aged incredibly well
Super late comment but just wanted to say thank you for putting these guides together; for the first time since picking up the game I’m consistently making it to Hades (and escaping sometimes) but I’ve been overthinking how to increase the difficulty in ways that don’t make the game not fun to play anymore. I think I’m gonna start with Extreme Measures for the first 2 bosses and will take it from there.
Good luck! Let me know how it goes!
Yes, I dislike it very much. I only use it when I am going super high heat
@@blexorcist3792 he said " for me" so everything you said is redundant. unless he edited that in.
Great videos Jawless, enjoying listening to them!
I'm so glad!
Thanks for the guide! So far, my highest heat is 10, and by fastest run is 16 min
Just started playing since it hit PS4, love these guides man, thank you!
You are welcome Myers!
No Choice is soul crushing because it shows you what you are missing out on.
Indeed!
I find the fact that Lasting Consequences only gives 1 heat per rank, including the final one, is what makes it way to punishing for the cost. Maybe making it to 30% a rank and 3 total ranks, with an increase in the heat for the last rank would be better.
I agree 0 healing is super punishing
Heat. LoL how appropriate. Gotta love Supergames. I do. However, first I need to get to Hades. At some point. 36 attempts and counting. Then Heat. Because I can’t seem to put this game down lol. So thank you for the video! Stay safe.
Hades is one of the best games i ever played
It's super good!
This video is a great idea!
Thanks mate!
Thanks for another very useful video
Edit: oh I just got to the part where you talk about tight deadline - that’s interesting, I assumed you just insta lost if you hit the time limit.
YES!!! Love your guides and rankings
Happy to oblige!
Without having used any of the pact yet I'm curious about what the bounties are since they're question marks, I wish you had mentioned something about what we can look for but you probably had people who had already used the system in mind.
Good explanation!
Great content bro xbox just got hades.. excellent game
After 21 runs I finally defeated Hades, now this shows up
4 years but still so relevant
Haha, thanks! I'm glad it's still helpful!
Thank you for this!
You are very welcome!
wow I'm a newbie player, I've never even seen "budget cuts" before, and that 2 heat tight deadline is amazing, wish they never cut that down lol
Haha, those were the days! 🤣
its so funny to me to see our opinions are almost total opposites... as someone who usually who sucks at games I find the ones you avoid all the time easier to get through :D I guess because I take my time going through the games
@@ezergilechimekazikura6855 that's definitely a more severe problem. Both need addressing separately
Oh wow, how have this not been brought up to the devs? This is something they definitely want to change...Gonna have to check the dev discussions forums on steam to see if this has been brought up to say something if not.
Thanks for the video!
You are welcome!
Great Guide, thanks a lot!
Haha! That's great! Heightened security scares me. With em4 the pots do 150 damage 🙃
@@JawlessPaul yeah I’ll give you that the hades pots hurt
Ah, yes.. The heightened security people.. "Just don't get hit, bro.. It's a free point..."
Lol they are trolling for sure 😁
I just beat the game for the 3rd time...after the first I was running the calisthenics program for my heat...now I know why those other wins took so long
Yeah, that can be rough! Good job with the W!
Yeah, tight deadline is MUCH easier to manage now though. Actually Jury Summons has become one that I max out when I try for 32 or 40
Just adding the pact of punishment is already difficult as it is, I haven’t used it at all at the moment, played the game for over a week now, and I only passed it once. Love the game though, so fun.
Totally! It takes a while to build up that heat tolerance 😂
So should I do a hell playthrough? I’m pretty far on regular difficulty and was wondering if hell was the way to go now.
Hell doesn't really add anything. You can add all the pact of punishment you need to a regular save file
Very true. I suppose it would only be for bragging rights. Thanks for the guides!
1 tight deadlines is by far the easiest. It usually doesn't take more time than this anyway even when not trying to be quick
I've heard a lot of people struggling to finish quickly, but yeah, once you get a sense for the mechanics of things tight deadline is an easy point
the first level of jury summons is fine but the second is already too much if you want to get two levels of tight deadline. heightened security is so awful in Styx considering the layout of certain rooms and the fact that hades urns will deal 150 damage, it should give at least 2 heat. hard labor is manageable with some boons but it makes the game a lot harder especially beacause let's face it most people will get hit by bosses at least a few times
Styx sounds scary with some of these yes...last night I was sitting pretty by Stix and made the mistake of opening an internal trove on a really ill layout-d room which spanned the whole room with rats which I couldn't kill fast enough and covered it with poison...may have ruined my run...lol
Yeah, Tartarus and Asphodel are OK but Elysium and Styx get pretty crazy
I’m so bad at this game and have only beat hades like 5 times. I appreciate any help lol
Good luck! You'll get it!
Do all heat challenges need to be completed? Do you get the same rewards with each?
There isn't really any rewards besides the statues and the prophecies. The heat is just for a challenge beyond those
Super helpful. Thanks.
I'm glad!
I know this is 4 years old, but I think its worth mentioning that Cursed Slash and Guan Yu both do heal with 100% Lasting Consequences.
Also, for me, Calisthenics Program and Jury Summons are basically the same pact, it just depends on what build I have.
If I'm going for a single target build, I take Calisthenics Program. If I'm going for an AOE build, I take Jury Summons.
It just makes sense.
True! Also, the hermes boon that heals after you dash works even with lasting consequences.
@@JawlessPaul that's right! I almost never take it because I'm such a sucker for Rushed Delivery
i always use calesthenics that's why i never clear in less than 25 minutes lmao
Yeah, calisthenics is rough for bosses especially
Its pretty tough but you would be surprised. Use that for a few runs and then go back. You will feel like enemies are crawling!
Is there an updated version of this? I seriously need some tips on what to choose for 32 heat lol
Check out the video where Haelian talks me through 40 heat. A lot of great tidbits in there 😊
18:41 I would agree to disagree.
Good point, I meant the special when I was talking about the burst from special.
Yep!
I would say get the prophecy of completing a run with each punishment and you'll understand what works and what doesn't.
That could work!
is that still good or patch change anything?
I'd say its about 80% accurate still. haelian and I did a vid about heat settings recently actually. That might be helpful. Biggest change is to tight deadline. It's much more forgiving so jury summons isn't quite so punishing in Elysium
@@JawlessPaul thx sub this channel good guide for hades 👍
I'm so glad I followed your advice with Extreme Measures and Forced Overtime. That helped get me to the final bounties and that 32 heat statue. I then took them all off for fun and the game is sooooooo much slower! Tisiphone, Asterius and the flamewheels couldn't touch me.
Yes! It really trains you to move around quickly and anticipate where enemies will attack :)
Zelda has you covered. Thanks!
So I started a game on Hard Mode. As in it's my only file, should I still add the same heat as this video?
Yeah the fact that it affects bosses is what kills it for me
Exactly. The enemies no problem. The bosses when they have thousands of hp suck
It's good to keep experimenting! Congrats on all the wins!
@@JawlessPaul This time I LL try your suggestions to ease the difficulty a bit 😂! Also thanks for the congrats🙌
How do you unlock more heat? Beating Hades again? I only killed him once so I can only get 1 heat.
I'm not sure how you only have 1 heat?!? Once the pact of punishment opens up you can customize it before your run..
@@JawlessPaul you're awesome man, thanks a lot. Subbed
Whenever I watch these videos I feel bad for using God mode because things like traps just don't affect me the same way as other people. Same thing with the extra damage since it's basically just playing the game normally
Nah, no worries. Use it to learn the game and try turning it off after a bit, see how it feels!
I take middle management all the time. Super easy.
Nice!
I started with Damage control for my first set of heats, can confirm it's a no brainer if you're still new to the game and just trying to run for prophecies or figuring out what you're doing.
Nice strategy!
What is the easiest 16 heat combination to use to get skellys second trophy
Oof, that's tough, probably EM2, the 7 minute heat option, just hit the pause button and kill enemies as quick as you can. Maximize benefits package and middle management. Not sure how high that gets you , but you'd be close...
Max tight deadline jury duty and calisthenics go!
yikes!
I just got Heat runs... should I stray off with 1heat then 2 heat then 3 heat ...and so on? I think I started off 5 heat but Hades kicked my ass
I use hightened security because if you walk on lava and stumble into traps then wtf are you doing, lol ;)
LOL whatever floats yer boat!
How can you activate the heat menu? After 24runs I cant see it. I have to beat Hades at least once?
Yes, heats unlock after your first completed run
Before they added EM4.. He's a tough fight
Yeah, this video is a bit older :)
Cheers!
See I don’t do convenience fee though because every run I try to save up for whatever item is in the Styx Shop
For sure! If you're farming for resources it's better to leave that one off
Not a Sammich is a gyro I think
Yo question... can i finish the story with low/and or no heat???
You just need enough blood to upgrade some weapons you like and are good enough to beat hades with! Maybe you can beat him without upgraded weapons!
@@JawlessPaul ayt thanks~~~~
Is this still relevant ? Cool vid !
It's pretty close, it should always be tweaked based on the weapon aspect you choose. A few things changed...
how in gods name do people play on 30 heat
Pshhh, you should see the people who do 50 plus!
