- This music is when Han Solo, Princess Leia Organa, Chewbacca, and C-3PO travel into the asteroid field in the Millenium Falcon to escape from the Empire. This soundtrack comes from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. This music is composed by John Williams. Enjoy!

"Sir, the probability of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one"
"Never tell me the odds"
I remember running around my house with a toy blaster. Acting like I was fighting storm troopers. Those were fun times
Remember the 4 TIE Fighters that chased the Millennium Falcon into the asteroids? All the pilots disliked this.
+Jedi Marc ^^^^^ this lmao
Omg 😂
... I was one of them...
...
+TIE Fighter Pilot how did you survive
«Look, we've got four or five of the main characters on this ship, I think we'll be fine!»
+NorfairPrince I got that! *Glances around awkwardly* I uh, I got that reference
it's from Family Guy's star wars parody. But I was making a reference by saying that. Referenception?
This is the superior version of the Asteroid song. The beginning always blows me away!
john williams is best
2:18 - Goosebumps!
so trueee
1:20 is where my favorite part comes in! Kudos to John Williams for such an amazing piece of art.
literally came here just for the part at 1:20
The brass in this piece is amazing
Even the music from the beloved old 3 movies is far more awesome than the newer ones. John Williams is the man.
i can't stop coming back to this video and listening to it every once and a while. I just love life even more because John Williams did stuff like this.
Best track of the entire 6 movies. Classic adventure music, leading into total epicness.. Then squeezing in a bit of romance at the end (A tad of "rebel fleet" popping its head in). This track manages to paint the whole Star Wars experience in one short musical score!
Great thank you for uploading this song dude
When I go somewhere crouded like the mall, and if I'm a hurry to get through, I play this in my head when weaving through the foot-traffic.
This is the one piece of music that I think sets Star Wars apart. When I hear this, I can ONLY think of ONE thing - an asteroid field. It's amazing! So many different things that sound so right and were never done before - I love John Williams!
Love this song thanks 4 posting it
Best music in any of the Star Wars films and one of my all-time favourite chase scenes. Especially for a film from 1980, this still looks and listens damn impressive even by todays standards.
*nostalgic moment*
I remember this song watching Empire and on many other different SW games... So awesome.
I just got back from Star Wars: in Concert in Anaheim, and they played this song. Absolutely amazing. It's even more beautiful in person.
love the epic stuff this is so awesome!!!!
Without a doubt, this is the best score in the entire Star Wars saga.
This music is simply bloody brilliant!!! The build-up of the music from 2:58 almost makes my hair stand up on end.
Can just visualise them weaving in and out of the asteroids in the falcon!
"I hope you know what you're doing."
"Yeah, me too."
Seriously so amazing.
This makes my skin crawl, amazing.
Three people DID WANT to hear the odds.
Oh, and for the record, 1:52 to 2:00 is my favorite part because it gets us ready for the awesome part without blowing the surprise. And then it reprises at the end, and then ends in that WONDERFUL rendition of the love theme...!
Man, this is possibly John Williams' finest piece, note for note.
Playing this while driving makes it very hard to resist putting your foot down on the pedal! :)
I think playing this during a high-speed chase on a highway would be fitting.
I can just imagine weaving in and out of cars, mainly at 2:17 - 2:42
"i hope you know what you're doing." "yea, me too"
3:27 han and the princess!!! right when they're flying into the "cave." i love it!!! first time i saw this, i think that bit of the soundtrack was what really confirmed it for me that this was one of the best movies EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER
The asteroid field! I remember this! Especially when C-3PO starts to get worried and Han Solo quips, "Never tell me the odds".
2:59 !! love it!
so many amazing pieces of music in this film
I always hum this theme to myself as I drive or push a shopping cart in a crowded supermarket...
They played this for the Star Wars concert... it was epic awesome!
Great Song. Well Done
this scene and its music are such a great point in the saga.
Driving at a marginally unsafe speed through Mulholland at night to this song blasting = GOD-TIER JOYRIDE.
John Williams is one of the best composers!!
The best Star Wars Music EVER!
Pure adrenaline and excitement from start to finish!!
I am sitting in my star wars themed room with this song on and using my millennium falcon speaker. true Fandom
2:18 - most underrated theme in OT :D
2:15 "We're gonna get pulverized!"
"Look we got three or four main characters on this ship, i think we're gonna be fine."
2:19
Has to be one of the most awe inspiring things I have ever heard.
brilliant
@andross51 totally man, i was looking for this movement for so long. i was so happy when i heard it.
"Bones, this man needs medical attention!"
"Damnit, Jim, I'm a doctor not a doc...oh yeah, I'll get right on it."
Oh wait, wrong franchise.
This scene was the first time i ever experienced vertigo during a movie. I was upfront row and when the Millenium Falcon rolled under that asteroid and the the asteroid rolled the other way my stomach rolled off in it's own direction....WOW...that was super cool when your 11 years old. I never wanted to go to school again. I had to decompress as i came back to reality :(
OH MY GOD JOHN WILLIAMS
2:18 to 2:42 is even better than the original Star Wars theme. It is so gorgeous!
u r right i have been waiting to
@andross51 That part is my child hood over and over again love it!!!
o melhor maéstro sem dúvidas
awesome john
i love this theme!!!!!!
It's the Super Empire Strikes Back Title Screen Music! And at 1:14, I can imagine Peter Griffin as Han Solo humming this! as he pilots the Falcon!
"Never tell me the odds!"
Whenever i listen to 2:18 it reminds me of star tours 2. Yes, ive been on it its super amazing.
0:28 what a movement!!!!
2:18 FTW BEST PART OF THIS AWESOME THEME!
Jedi Outcast brought me here, because this score was used in the Artus Topside and Cairn Reactor levels
"Sir, the odds of successfully navigating through an asteroid field are 2 to 1!"
"Never tell me the... Oh. Actually, that's not bad. Let's keep going."
My favorite part starts at 2:20. It gives me chills, lol.
Han:Watch this!
Leia:Watch what?
Han:We're in trouble
C-3PO:But sir!
Han:We're in trouble!
"Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one!!"
"Never tell me the odds!"
I knew this song through promos for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series in 2008
Don't know how We're gonna get outta this one.
(Ship Shake)
OW! Chewie!
this is my favourite star wars music especialy 2:18 3:06 cant stop listening to it!!!
I just saw Star Wars in Concert on friday, suckers! This song was amaaaazing in it
ah man I love that part xD
@spyergirl4 haha me too! During the whole time until 3:23, I was too immersed in the scene to realise it but then when they get rid of all the fighters and the music changes I actually knew at that moment that I was witnessing a masterpiece and realised how perfect this piece suited the scene...
''alright look we got 4 out of 5 of the main characters on this ship I think we're going to be fine''
2:57
"Hey Ace! Enemy in range!"
If you've ever played "X-Wing: Alliance", your subconscious just got ready to fuck up some TIEs!
@rurounikjs
good comment and so true. Reminds me of the good old 90's when I played shawdows of the empire and reading the book in 07. My favorite part is when luke is in the sewers and thats where he becomes a Jedi and he beat xizors robot in a fist fight. That part of the story showed that Luke doesn't need Dash's help any more, Dash needs Luke's help.
My favorite part starts at 2:17
C-3PO (Quagmire): AHHH! LOOK AT THAT ONE! LOOK AT THAT ONE!
"Watch this!"
*hyper-drive failure*
"Watch what?!"
This + X-Wing: Alliance = Smile on my face
YES!!!!
QFT!! That's the magic moment
my fav theme of the whole sw franchise
This is the theme music leading up to and during black friday at wal-mart.
Good damn game! :)
Droid pilot Rex: Oh no! We're caught in a tractor beam!
Rebel X-Wing pilot: Star Tours, what are you doing here? This is a combat zone. It's restricted. Ease off on your main thrusters.
hahahaha me too! i love to play this one while driving and passing other cars
Han Solo: “You said you wanted to be around when I made a mistake. Well, this could be it, sweetheart.”
Princess Leia: “I take it back.”
no shields on ties. suprising that they lasted as long as they did
Han get up here!...Asteroids!
"What are you doing? You're not actually going into an asteroid field?"
"Well, it's either that or goin' into the strawberry fields."
"Agh, look at that one! Ah, look at that one over there! AAUUGH!!"
"We're gonna get pulverized out here!"
"Look, we got 4 of 5 main characters in this ship. I think we're gonna be fine."
2:18 "Chewie Lookout!!"
2:19 and 3:07 are definitely my favorite parts
@eugeneragistanac No it's the right notes. The clash between C and B is intentional. Part of the harmony of Darth Vader's theme.
"I want that ship, not excuses"
@MadiStarlight hahaha nice!
lolz, I'm going to see that soon.
Never tell me the odds!
indeed! ties had no shields, no artificial gravity, hell, they didnt even have LIFE SUPPORT. they were made using the strategy of quantity over quality. the empire thought that it would teach them to be better pilots in a few ways, when in actuality all it did was make them pray and hope they were promoted to be in a better advanced tie fighter type, like the interceptor, which still had no shielding but was an over all beasty machine.
I like to pop this on when the freeway is full of big trucks and weave.
John Williams did the music for the new ones two.
@eugeneragistanac its called dissonance, it adds to the feel of the darkside there. lots of composers use that, it sounds like crap when writing it especially, but comes together amazing if you know how to use it.
