Easily 6 hours. 3 hours of game play and 3 hours of cinematics...lol
@@levelbasegaming5740 so...a more action-y hellblade 2? But they could atleast add newstuff like have wolverine or dumdum in missions or events
thats good enough for me!
@@SPD87327And you would pay $70 for that? No wonder the industry is falling
Yeah from what they've shown it most likely will be that, really need to see more to narrow it down though.
I think games should minimum hit 15 hours to justify $70. I think that’s perfectly fine for a single player, linear game
15 hours is pretty I could do
30, 30 at min for 70
So the game is based on "Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers", a 4-part miniseries released back in 2010. All of the characters mentioned in the game's plot also appear in the miniseries. It's unclear whether or not Nick Fury will be making an appearance in the game as he was featured prominently throughout the story. The second half of the miniseries also takes place in Wakanda. Of course when it comes to adaptations, details may change. My guess is that it'll be 4-6 hours, at least when it comes to completing the campaign.
I would say the base line would be 10 hours, but a good estimate from similar games would be 15-20 hours.
More importantly, she was the creator of the legacy of Kain series
I loved those games! I remember getting the first one for christmas on PS1...
For $70 at the very least 30 hours. I see people saying 10 or 15 and for $70 is not worth it if it is that small then make it $30 to $40
Linear gameplay between cutscene's and QTE's rarely do well. Gaurdians of the galaxy comes to mind when i see this and that was a beefed up telltale game that was carried by the story and acting. Absolutely not for 70$ but i would play it through gamepass but im speculating on the scale and scope of work
uncharted 2,3,4 all had multiplayer. so they don't count as a 10 hour game.
This game is never coming out and of it does it’s gonna be a pure quick time movie. I’m calling it now. 👀👀
I want to know how Black Panther connects to Hydra. Everyone who knows anything about Marvel knows that Hydra is primarily in opposition to Captain America.
It's vibranium. It's always vibranium.
Black panther has fought against Hydra plenty of times in the comics, especially when they were trying to invade Wakanda for vibranium.
They hit cap with the ugly stick man 😭
The hypocrisy in the comments. A lot of people here criticised Hellblade 2 for being too short, which I totally agree btw, but they're totally fine with this game being short and come up with sh*t like: Not every single game has to be open world, full of collectibles bla bla bla... If it has a popular logo like Marvel or it's going to be available on your favourite plastic box you're fine with it being short. I miss the old days when people had an actual opinion and were not brainwashed by companies.
10 hours for linear game is enough any longer and it gets bloated.
10-12hrs. Minimum
Answer: Too long
this feels like a Not so open world game you will be on 1 path and that's it don't get to hyped for this game
Nothing wrong with that if it has good gameplay and a good story a linear game is perfectly fine
@@gamingunited37 Not every game needs to be open world.
@@OneRandomVictory i'm not expecting like anything Ubisoft is doing but with this trailer being able to some what explore the city using caps and black panthers ability parkour would be something that could be used
cyberpunk was $60 and had 60 hours of gameplay... and the production value was just as high. no excuse for short games.
But that's the future games are all will be shorter
Lmao after 3 years of patches and updates
@@gopackgo12repeat it was perfectly playable on PC and PS5. The poors with their PS4 and xboxes had the real issues. Regardless the game was expensive and large in scope and managed to be a "showpiece" for ray tracing and graphics in general while being a massive game. For $60. This hellblade 2 eight hour graphic centered game meta needs to end.
@@shraf2kay “the poors with their ps4 and xboxes” lmao okay dude. Thank you for telling me how ignorant you are.
@@gopackgo12repeat are autistic or just don't know how to take a joke?
$70 should at least be 10 hours
@@CastisV should be a lot more than that, unless there’s lots of content after the story which there probably won’t be for this game. Red Dead Redemption 2s story alone is around 50 hours for $60. $70 for 10 hours full gameplay is horrible.
@@mr.malgual6892 he was asking about very linear story driven graphical standout games. RDR2 is not in that category. I think a game like this should be $40-$50
@@CastisV Ok I can agree with you on that. I guess my problem would just be with any game that’s a completely linear story and nothing else being priced at $70. I mean there’s no reason that a games like uncharted 4 and gta 5 should cost the same amount when one had a million times more content.
I really don’t care if the quality is high enough. Get me to cry once and it’s already paid for jaj
That's a joke, 70 for 10 is you getting ripped off
I love that people keep complaining about "open world fatigue" but now you have the POTENTIAL of getting a high-quality game that is narratively driven, bit shorter and more concise but now the same people talk about scope and how long is the game going to be? Gamers are such children man.
Let's remember that Control was doable in 10 to 12 hours
It may have been doable in that time, but it certainly wasn't typical...I think my first playthrough was around 25 hours...If you you actually try to find the secrets and do the jukebox missions, it took quite a bit longer...Plus it got some really good DLC
@@brucepreston3927 Yeah same, that's what I was thinking tho like a 12 hour game isn't bad if you can get 12 more hours from side content
That's Remedy...experienced. Hennig might be good at world building. But can she build an action game.
@@wkadaliethere’s so many good combat systems to riff on it really won’t be a problem bro this gonna be uncharted the superhero version I’m fairly sure
@@sumstuff6956 You act like it's just click and paste. You need the experience to build different types of games. And not sure how experienced they are. Hennig has Uncharted experience but she's not Naughty dog. How much did she have to do with gameplay design. I know she's great at world design. That's all.
At least 12 hours, graphics are the least important aspect of a game for me. Gameplay is most important.
Then this game is most likely not going to be for u and that's ok. I personally value graphics highly and can play a game with simple gameplay and beautiful graphics that might be like 10 hrs long
I just really want gameplay, wanna get my hands on that JUICY captain america shield.
I want something else that’s juicy and Captain America’s 👅
I thought The Matrix Awakens was the tech demo for Unreal Engine 5 awhile back, hope to see this as more then that
We need more streamlined 10 hourish games. Not every game has to take over our lives and there are plenty of games that run for 10 hours, and still get mentioned after 10+ years of it's release.
The problem is they're gonna charge the same $70 price like if it was a 100 hr jammed with content. Just because it's marvel and pretty looking
Not for 70 dollars
@@homem-pobre no issue paying full price for high quality, well made and polished 10-12 hour experience. Done it many times and been satisfied with my purchases.
Modern GoW should be their bar
While I agree, the tricky part is that, for me at least, shorter games have less wiggle room for any issues they have. An issue that might be brief/minor in a 30+ hour game gets magnified in a 10 hour game.
I think people underestimate how long 20 hours of gameplay is. Like GOW 2018 if you did a little side stuff here and there and the main quest was like 20-25. It was only 40+ if you were trying to 100% and I've never seen anyone complain about the length of that game. I think there's just so many games like survival games, and other grindy genres that require 50-100+ to actually progress so they see that 50-100+ hours as a worth it value for a full priced game. But narrative heavy, focused, AAA games are rarely more than 30+ unless you 100% the game, or they're padded with time filling side content that isn't really of any value. Red Dead is an exception to the standard, and I know plenty of people that never finished the game because it's just so long. They'll all say they loved it, but they never finished it.
In open worlds like Bully and RDR1 that are only around 18 and 15 hours for the main story They feel shorter due to how many Differnt things you can do leading to less repetitive feel. Kane and lynch 2 feels pretty repetitive as a 4 hour game as its Narrow linear cover shooter.
These graphical powerhouse games tend to only clock in at like 3 to 4 hours and the most simple gameplay of all time.
I’m looking at you, The Order and Hellblade 2
Arkham knight?
red dead 2?
Last of us 2
With the exception of Last of us 2, Those games are all open world experiences tho, you guys think Marvel 1943 is gonna be anything other than a linear on rails experience? Like The Order and Hellblade 2 or even Ryse son of Rome?
I’m calling it right now. 4 hours long, mid gameplay. A tech demo with a nice marvel skin.
Come back to this comment on launch and let me know if this comment is wine or milk.
@@TheUnlimitedProductions Yes because Uncharted 4 was 4 hours long ?
I pay full price for quality. Great gameplay, story and graphics. Replability is also welcomed but not a must. keep it between 10 -15 hours if it's linear and make it 15 -25 hours if it's open world. Things I don't want, forced slow walking with exposition or slow crawling; just make it a cutsceene so I can skip it on replay.
0:10 pretty easy to forget the poorly marketed game. Its visuals aren't enough to get me excited until I see gameplay. Until then it's AAA gaming slop and treading the same grounds of announced too soon.
I'm all in for it because the creator of Uncharted is working on it,no, not C-man,but Amy Hennig.
That does give me a lot of confidence in this product. Aside from the "Arkham" series, the "Uncharted" games are my most replayed PS3 and PS4 titles. It's too bad she couldn't have worked on the film. It was a real abomination.
For $70 I think a reasonable length would be at least 10 - 15 hours. Longer being better, unless it's pure grind.
For me it should be atleast 20hrs of pure gameplay aside from cinematic
20 to 30 for story 100 total
for 70, at minimum im expecting 10 hours+ but that's just me, and side quests
I don't mind these shorter more graphically impressive games every once in a while...I still want the gameplay to be more than hold forward on the stick and hit one button though...I thought the order 1886 was really fun!
Been honest I think I’m among the small % that liked the Order, I don’t mind a game been classed as linear as long as the story is gripping and in my personal opinion the order did this for me.
It's certainly pretty, and getting an Uncharted alum could be good experience for this. But I don't want to play a four-hour tech demo.
Why would you ever believe a game like this would be four hours??
@@strangeglass2512hellblade 2 esque tech demo
@@reloadedspade176 but you play as four characters why would they ever condense something like that Into four hours?
@@strangeglass2512 A forced character switch between different perspectives of the story is nothing new. Although realistically, it could last a little bit longer. Highly doubt it
Ryse son of Rome was a great sleeper game. Linear combat driven beautifull graphics
Love that game.
I was shocked to find out when that game released. I thought for sure it would be a 2018 game at least
I hope Marvel 1943 rise of hydra is a good game
Sorry, but if you're going to ask me for $70, I expect an experience on par with Rebirth. I expect to see a high level of dedication and passion on display in the game play, art direction, story, and music. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't have to be as long as Rebirth was. An older title like Star Fox 64 is a good example; you can beat that in like an hour, but it's full of charm, challenge, and replayability to compensate.
tech alone is never enough, that's a given.
Not a question I ask when I'm interested in a game. All I care about is the gameplay. I rather play a 2 hour fun game, over a bloated mess. My sweet spot is 4 to 8 for linear games,
15 to 30 for open world, 50 for RPGs.
If it’s 15 to 20 I’d be satisfied, if its under 10 while disappointing gameplay has to deliver
If they can make something close to the first three Uncharted games, linear levels with a few open areas that you could miss, fun traversal, good combat, great story and writing all topped by stunning visuals. That's what this game needs to be. Not an open world or even a semi open world, just a classic video game ass video game (as Jake Baldino would say)
I don’t need anything longer than 10-12 hours. Just a great story with great characters and gameplay.
Can't wait for Asmon to farm you
I think 70 dollars with high production value; I’d say 5 hours. Gotta be really pristine though. Games like this can get exhausting when they’re super long
5 being minimum
Why cant we just have games thwt are 12-20 hours that we can play, enjoy, and finish then move on from to the next game or play something on the backlog why does everyone want 50+ hour games rhat will inevitably have filler to get it to that length a game like elden ring i understand but not everything
Luke I just want to let you know after a hard days work, I get home play video games then watch your video not long before going to bed, when you upload on main channel i watch in my dinner break and they really help me get through the day. Watching & listening to you talk about video games really helps me forgot my problems for an hour and unwind from the stresses of life. It might so stupid because it’s just video game talk, but they really help me out. Keep doing what your doing man.
same here, his videos always help calm me down after a tough day
Same!
Same!
Man has yapped his way into my life
It will sale like nothing if it shorter than 20 hours
Koch means "cook" in German and it's certainly not pronounced "coke" lol.
Personally if this game is 10-15 hours long with a strong story and fun gameplay (like Uncharted) then I’ll be happy.
It seems that games want to be open world, over 40 hours games which cost a fortune to make. It’d be good to scale that back slightly.
Hopefully longer than the average marvel film lol. I just want a good 15 hour game and some replay value or endgame content. NG+ goes a long way for me especially if they do anything like the newer God of Wars where we get harder enemy variations, new resources/upgrade systems, and new gear to acquire. Short enough to where people will enjoy it all the way through but long enough to where it doesn't feel rushed or unsatisfying and with the replay value I mentioned previously for those of us who DO want to spend 50+ hours on it after the 1st playthrough ends.
This needs to be structured like uncharted but instead of shoot outs you have hand to hand fight sequences this could shit all over uncharted if this is the case imo a superhero uncharted should of been made years ago
Metroid Dread was 6-10 hrs of solid GAMEPLAY.
Perfect
If this is half cutscenes, half gameplay, that’s a problem.
Wait everbody is already running with short narrative. Why? It's just a hypothetical. Based on 1 game from back in the day. Yall Wildin... Damn Luke stirred some sh*t up.
For me.. it’ll have to be 15-20 hours . I think it’ll be like spider man in regards to length. I’d love a solid 20-25 hour campaign with nice action set pieces. This game will be 69.99 no question though.
I'm fine with 10 to 12 hours for the main campaign and 20 to 25 to complete everything. I'm tired of every game being a huge open world that takes 100 to 200 hours to complete. I don't want them to disappear, but not every game needs to be that. I like the narrative focused games that aren't that long like uncharted and 1886. They need be in the 15 for main story to 25 for completionist range.
Titanfall 2 rule. It can be short BUT it needs to be complete and have unique and interesting gameplay, and something to keep you coming back i.e multiplayer or new game plus. Give me 5-7 hours that i want to do 10 times.
Watch some of Hennings interviews and he take on the 70 hour game. Imagine a movie where 90 percent of the audience leave midway through the movie. That’s most games, most games aren’t being finished… and she has some great reasons as to why one should design around the time most gamers can invest into a game. She is brilliant, and needless to say, Soul reaver… :)
The how long to beat times are bs. Most people either lie about their times, which I think a lot do, or they are misremembering. Every cod people say it takes like 4 hours to beat. I'm not sure about the newer ones but the older ones took longer than 4 hours. They are easily 6 to 8 hours, unless you're running through them on the easiest mode and skipping any cutscenes. He said 6 for uncharted 1 and the thing said 8. It took me way longer than 8. It was like over 20 hours for me. Maybe I paused and it counted that time too so maybe its off some but ai replayed it and I don't remember exactly what it was but it was longer than 8. It's the same thing for any game I look up on there. I know I play games slower than most people bc I take my time but even still, there's just no way most of those times are accurate. Every game I play ends up taking at least 3 hours to beat for the games that aren't thay long and for big open world games, it's easily 10 to 20 hours longer.
If it's 70 I'm not buying it , don't care if the Adams apple moves when they swallow no game is worth 70 , we got scammed with next gen consoles , they suck
10 to 12 hours. For a super high production value game. If it’s on the lvl of the last of us then it’s fine. Anything less and it’s a problem. Issue with the order 1886 is that the game play was boring and had repeat boss fights.
I’ll be extremely disappointed if it’s a short game. If it’s short the replay ability better be on the level of sekiro.
Why would anyone think a game like this would be four hours?? It’s a MARVEL game for Christ sake
knowing that these game is like a tech demo , i expect it to be as boring as hellblade 2,all graphics zero gameplay
For 70 bucks i need atleast 25 hours of story. If its just like 5-6 hours then i would pay max 40 bucks
I'm hoping atleast 9-12 hours for this game. i honestly would prefer a short, linear game focusing on quality rather than a larger game with compromise.
I just hope this game has some depth and replayability in its mechanics being Captain America and Black Panther rather than just being a narrative game because it will Kind off ruin the fantasy of playing a superhero
I don't see a game with playable characters like cap and black panther having uninspired gameplay. It'll be a solid story with really fun gameplay and that's all I need.
I just hope we don’t have another Hellblade II situation on our hands.
Getting major forspoken vibes. Where the developer does everything they can to cram all the latest tech into a demo of a "game" so that it looks good on stage. Then it comes out and boom a couple hours of dogshit that runs at 45fps on modern high end PCs without relying on cheap dlss tactics.
I don't see a talent like Henning devoting years of her professional life on a game meant to "showcase" another company's product. That may very well be a side benefit but no way is it the main thing they started out to do, or how they would describe it.
Really? That's your concern? We haven't seen a single frame of gameplay yet and you concerned about how long it's gonna be. Are you even human?
Im fine with 10 hour games if they are highly repayable. More than half the time I spent in ac6 was replaying the game. The campaign was super short but i didnt mind
I can understand why people would be excited for this but if this is as on rails as uncharted or worse id rather just read a couple comics. Give me an entrance to the WORLD of captain america or black panther, let me be those characters and see what choices and challenges that presents dont just show me a movie that requires me to interact with it.
I hope they tweak Captain America's look just a bit. Seems like he barely has any muscle mass underneath his suit.
looks great I'm just annoyed with every title having "rise of" in it
i’m hoping to get arkham knight value out of this. a game that was visually stunning and still is, that cranks hours away, and has tons of replayability !
This game is going to be 8 hours long. A walking sim with super hero’s. All the action parts are QTE😂
It’s also going to have 4 playable characters for the story so maybe you can play it from different perspectives
I care more about how good the actual game is, I couldn’t care less about it’s length or it’s graphics if the game is dogwater.
Looks like vaporware if it ends up being real it also won’t look like that. In engine vs in game obviously.
70 dollars need to be like 15 hours. There are good games that are lower, but they need to be lower prices too.
Hopefully not too long. I’d personally like it to be around 8-12 hours.
Cap and Black panther, boring super heroes with boring powers for a game.
My personal opinion I much rather shorter games with a stunning narrative over 30 40 hours of nothing
For 70$ Im looking for a densely packed 15-20hrs
Ghost of Tsushima was around 30 and that is an amazing game this should be around that length
I love me some short games. $70 for anything less than 6h is a no from me tho.
Hard to say, we need to see gameplay first. If there's any.
Uncharted 4 was about 14 hours, while 2 and 3 were around 10. No one complained about spending 60 on any of these, or really any other action game before the age of bloat. And things are just more expensive now. I would be thrilled if this was a 10-12 hour game. Very sick of bloat.
Even after the likes of GTA3 and Morrowind you still had non open world games that were successful linear games. It was after 2012 were linear games really started to get hate.
How long will it be 😅
Eventually all these "AAAA" games are going to be as short as a Zack Snyder film. And the filthy casuals will still pre-order. The gaming industry is dead.
“Casuals”= people who buy things I don’t like
Hours of play doesn't make a game good.
Are we just rehashing an old video?
I just wanna see gameplay gameplay
For $70 it should last at least 15 hours
Koch is NOT pronounced "coke" either 😂
In fact, the o in Koch is pronounced like the "o" in cock, actually.
But the ch has a guttural pronunciation, as if you're going to spit Titanic-style. It's almost as if a guttural R rather than any ck pronunciation.
11 hours minimum for that much money
Damn... Those facial expressions look real. Absolutely incredible. Even if this is an interactive cinematic like The Order 1886 or those Super Massive games, I'm very interested. Marvel needs a win after the poop that was She-Hulk and Secret Invasion.
Expect it to be pushed to 2026.
no way we get this before wolverine
I mean if it’s similar in size and scale to Uncharted 2 or 3 I wouldn’t be disappointed, those were some of the greatest action adventure games of their generation and didn’t sacrifice length or quality for fidelity. 70 bucks for a game that’s 10+ hours isn’t outlandish imo, if it dips to that 6-8 hour range though that’s where justifying a full price becomes a lot harder
