It is the sudden fear that comes out of nowhere. Its the sudden bodly sensations I get hit with that makes it harder to cope with it. I could be sitting camly and all of a sudden I'll lose control of my feelings and thinking.

Kevin, it’s in that very moment where the greatest opportunity lives. An opportunity you must seize each time, to turn from being led down the path of fear and towards the path of seeing these types of reactions for what they are which is a best guess as to what may happen in the future. You hold more power than you think, start questioning your old ways starting today and start challenging these symptoms more often.

@kevincinar Absolutely understand. I have a hard time articulating it. But I think it comes from being hyper vigilant, concerned for others welfare. A paranoia.
For me, it could be something like getting on an escalator! Heart racing. Palpitations. The whole bit. Fear. Catastrophe.
      I don’t get it…

It’s just a program running in your mind. That is so true. I like that way of thinking about it. It’s a program that will always run from a trigger. The key is to simply acknowledge it’s a program that you don’t have to agree with. Mine is always about how the future will not turn out the way I want it to. I have to remind myself that it could turn out and even if it doesn’t I will deal with it when I get there. There is nothing to solve for right at this very moment. And I’m in no physical danger.

I have been dealing with severe anxiety disorder since 2003. Over the last 10 months or so it has just completely been ruining my life. I feel like I can’t breathe every single night and I’m terrified that I’m gonna die every day for almost a year now.
I started doing IOP DBT 9 hours a week at a mental health center where they teach us tools to use for our daily lives and a support system of counselors and therapists. In addition to a great new psychiatrist I started seeing last month who is taking control of my medication, I’m finally getting to where I’m not having overwhelming panic for hours and hours where I’m terrified I’m going to stop breathing.
This channel has been an absolute lifesaver for when I feel isolated and like no one knows what I’m going through.
    Thank you Dennis

Geez. This hits home. All of the adults in my life were planners, controllers. They concerned themselves with every possibility and had opinions for everything that everyone did, what they approved of, disapproved of. Everything was done to order. I can see how this manifests as this grand distrust and protective posture. I can see how too how colleagues, Narcissistic bosses, and school peers have had these same traits.
I’m going to say this has crippled me to the point that I fear public places, working in public, travel, even basic life tasks can be too difficult with physical symptoms.
I don’t even want other people in my life because I don’t trust them or want their drama and negativity in my life.

Oh boy, number three hits hard. Letting go of worry is a tricky one, even though I know perfectly well that it's "magical thinking". There are things I do regularly that I feel nervous about, and it feels like: " this time, if I finally don't worry about it beforehand, the outcome will be bad." It is so frustrating to be "stuck" in that silly mindset.
This was a good video overall, and I need to watch it over a few times.
Recognizing but not attaching feels out of reach for me. I just don't fully "get it". I wish I was better able to grasp what seem like simple concepts. Definitely need to rewatch this.

I've been doing good these last 2 weeks, but suddenly when I'm starting to feel my anxiety symptoms and sensations and I go to surrender I can't anymore as when I first started doing it, it was amazing because I realized I didn't have to fight it anymore but now I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I'm not fully surrendering because these symptoms seem to have some power again. I don't know if I'm subconsciously fighting it but that's the only thing I can think of. Maybe it's because of my doubt, I don't want to doubt anything but that's where my mind goes at times, but I'm just asking what should I do? I'm not giving up I'm still surrendering and at times when it's really bad I remind me and my lower self that I am safe. I love your videos, and you have helped me you really have. But I'm kinda stuck right now. Maybe it's my OCD fueling it, maybe it's just my negative mind. It could be a lot of things. I hope you understand. I love you and thank you again.

    • @NarcFreedom
      @NarcFreedom 2 месяца назад

@@masonfrazell-hoover1860 I think I understand. For me, I don’t know if “surrender” is the right approach. Instead I sort of do three things. I affirm that I am well, deny the existence of the symptom and anxiety etc, and then I ignore it and move on. I feel like surrendering gives that anxiety power. I prefer to not experience it as reality. For more perspective on that I looked to Christian Science principles and it seems to have helped me. This applies to me as well for OCD and negative thinking etc.

If one's been dealing with anxiety, OCD, and physical trauma which of your programs would you recommend?
Your anxiety videos have been helping me for a long time.
There's no OCD action imperative to protect/validate security if the elements of anxiety are reframed as safe. Mindfulness is very important.

As far as I know, the subconscious mind doesn’t sleep, unlike the conscious mind that is off when we sleep, the subconscious stays alert, this is why some claim we can reprogram our subconscious minds, you can listen to health anxiety affirmations by Dennis when you go to bed, they are helpful, you can also resort to sleep hypnosis . Try listening to these while you are sleeping, they are helping me with my sleeping issues.

@@afeflazreg231 practically speaking I try to do calming but not necessarily meditative relaxation before bed, and while I am asleep. I personally don’t want to engage my mind in analysis. Peaceful travel videos are one of my favorites. Really helpful. While I am asleep I like ambient music of piano and nature, as well as some light religious things from Abide, or similar. I also try to make my room a sanctuary. Light music. Small fan / air purifier, humidifier, aromatherapy oil diffuser.
