To sharpen a saw blade, better another kind of disc, perhaps diamond disc. Grind with a cutting disc is more dangerous that it seems

Jigs are fine as long as you don`t get in front of the disc,kick back and shattering discs are not nice to happen,you should be behind the guard,and where full face protection,you only get two eyes,

Your idea to grind or sharpen a band saw is as great as simple....You know that you can do the same thing with the blade of a Sawzall (reciprocating) and probably with a hole saw or circular saw that cut a circle. You can regain about 75 percent of their sharpness. It means a 4 $ blade becoming useless is worth back 3 $ and the job keeps on going ...
.I used to grind these with a Dremmel but your way is better....

I'll drop the idea. on youtube saw this angle grinder (we have in Russia, it is why it is called a "Bulgarian"), as a motor for a lathe.

Very elegant idea. I went to this video thinking it was going to be a metal holder. I was looking for a project to weld with my powerarc but I might make this even though it is made out of wood.

Idea was great but it is dangerous
but it can be very dangerous because it is a machine which has the power of 11000 rpm. a person can die if its wheel breaks accidentally because angle grinder are meant for sticking it on any type of holders

You can also just put it in a vice. It's just as stable as your concept. And don't get me wrong - i think your ideas and implementations are simply amazing but with angle grinder i'll stick to my solution ;)

How to use it as sander with the same tool
yo man sad to bring it to you, but thats not the cutting edge you sharpened there on your bandsawblade
+READTHISBITCHESZ He did it right. It's like sharpening a sheer blade on a metal sheer. You take off material from the back to get a sharp edge on the front. The valley off the teeth are set to a certain angle and radius. To keep from damaging that you just take some off the back side to bring the cutting point back to a sharp edge while leaving the cut valley alone.

Capiteles de la iglesia de San Pedro de la Nave

Comentario
La decoración escultórica de la iglesia zamorana de San Pedro de la Nave puede ser catalogada como la más interesante del arte visigodo.
En la intersección de la nave principal y el transepto se forma un crucero, donde se encuentran dos de los capiteles visigodos más representados. En los dos hallamos un esquema similar, con una decoración de roleos con animales y plantas en el cimacio, debajo una cartela donde se alude a la escena y la escena propiamente dicha ocupando todo el frente del capitel.
En el primero se nos muestra el sacrificio de Isaac. Abraham coloca a su hijo Isaac sobre un altar, quedando un cordero en la zona de la derecha. La zona de la izquierda está ocupada por la mano divina que impide el sacrificio humano, saliendo de una cortina. En los laterales del capitel, y de cuerpo entero, aparecen san Pedro y san Pablo, con sus respectivos atributos y su nombre inscrito.
La otra escena nos presenta a Daniel en el foso de los leones. El personaje bíblico aparece en el centro de la composición, levantando sus manos en señal de oración y con los pies en un lago realista, con ondas de agua en las que beben los leones que le acompañan a cada lado. En los laterales del capitel se han representado a los santos Tomás y Felipe, señalando su nombre con un epígrafe.
El sentido iconográfico de las dos escenas es el de la consecución de la protección divina por medio de la oración y el sacrificio, pero sobre todo, gracias a la firmeza de la Fe.

That is terribly unsafe! You are going to get kickback and really hurt yourself. You are using a type 1 cutting disc without the proper guarding as well. I am sorry, but I had the hardest time watching this. It's a good idea for the holder, but the usage is terrible. Sorry, but that is bad news. Spend $100 on a bench grinder.
