That was the best tribute ever, absolutely amazing ! Thank you for making this, it made me fall in love with Maestro Frizzi's music all over again ! Fulci lives and Frizzi forever !
This is basically perfection. I've only been listening to Frizzi's music for about a year but, my god, every Fulci movie I watch and every song of his I hear is just incredible. Your decision to end this collage with the theme to The Beyond in a crescendo was amazing. Of all of Frizzi's music, that one stands out the most to me which is saying a lot.
Thanks so much for the incredibly kind words Mr. Drakanator! Welcome to the Frizzi club! I know the feeling. Every time I hear the beyond soundtrack, I'm taken back to my first viewing of the film when I was in my early teens. Still bends my head to this day.

Wow, awesome stuff mate! Loved the tribute as nobody creates atmosphere like Frizzi... Fabio's clearly appreciative of those who appreciate his incredible work.
Thanks heaps for the kind words! Agreed. Fabio has genuinely developed a sound all his own, and It's been great to see him making a return to the genre in recent years.
Frizzi's work is excellent, and you've done a great job with these tribute covers. IMO the opening theme of L'Aldila/The Beyond is Frizzi's best work; glorious in its intensity -- and it fits the feverish, relentlessly bleak atmosphere of the movie perfectly. Riz Ortolani is also a standout in this genre I think: His theme for Cannibal Holocaust is incredible, both beautiful and haunting. Both themes stick in my head for weeks every time I hear them. It's a shame this stuff remains so obscure and unappreciated. Unfortunately music of composers like Frizzi and Ortolani tend to be sneered at and looked down upon in the mainstream despite the obvious genius, because they're associated with horror... Which is by default considered low brow trash (and not to say a lot isn't trash of course, in various senses of the word. _But there is often beauty even in the least of things.)_ Also 11:55 fun bit of trivia: Frizzi produced the beat of the original Zombi 2 theme by tapping on the mic with his fingers because nothing else produced the exact sound he wanted.
What a wonderful comment! I really appreciate the kind words and echo your sentiments completely. The Beyond is simply one of my all time favourite film scores. It does everything a great score can, it's both classical and experimental, it's unique and distinctive, and it works beautifully in and out of the context of the film itself. I adore Riz Ortolani too! His 'Those Days Without You' theme for Fulci's 'Don't Torture a Duckling' is so beautiful, and deserves status as a classic. And wow, that's a terrific tidbit of information I didn't know! I always wondered what drum machine he used for that!

I love how Frizzi uses that "choir mellotron" sound, he uses the lower darker keys. I have never heard anyone else use that, but it sound very, very atomspheric. If you have not, check out Frizzi's main theme on Puppet Master The littelest reich, it is awesome.

@@MathiasT.Taylor No need to thank me mate. I've become rather bored with music over the last few years, I especially don't care for much of anything post 1990s. So now I resort to looking for something interesting by occasionally taking a chance on some random thumbnail, and once in a very rare while, I find something I actually enjoy. Like your tribute, I remember a lot of these movies from when they were being released. Thus your music and a little herb gave me a nice little trip down memory lane. A few months ago I discovered this amazing German composer, Jo Blankenburg, on RUclips in much the same way. I especially like The Architects of Cronos by him. Like you, he seems to be a nice guy that takes the time to show his appreciation by responding to questions, and comments that people leave on his RUclips posts. Check his music out and talk to him, who knows something positive may come of it. I'd certainly look forward to anything that a meeting between you two might contribute to the world of music. Anyways if you have the time do have a listen to and tell me what you think of the Architects of Cronos.

Thanks so much for the kind words Kenneth! It's an absolute honour. He's one of the kindest and most generous people I've had the pleasure to meet :)
It's probably my 4th time watching this. This video should have a million views, not 3000.
Wow thank you so much! So happy to hear your enjoyed it enough to constitute multiple viewings! That's amazing :)
Agree!
@@ManorHQ Thank you so much :)
This is an incredible piece of work! Amazing covers and the filming and editing is perfect! My favourite music is that bit from the zombi theme 12:40 One of my all time fave scores. Great that you got to meet the man himself too! Amazing video - hope you make more! 🙌
Thanks so much for the kind words! Meeting Fabio is still one of my all time favourite experiences and a week never goes by without listening to one of his works 😊
@@MathiasT.Taylor Great job man!
Fantastic!!!!!
Thank you so much for the kind word! :D
Really really excellent. The video montage editing is perfect to. Perfect selection of music.
Thanks so much for the kind words! :)
Ilove this song gus lol
This is really good. What did you use for the choir ahhs in the "City Of The Living Dead" theme? Is that a vst emulation of a mellotron?
Thanks so much! Logic Pro released a downloadable virtual mellotron pack a couple of years back :)
i want this in a physical form. vinyl. cd. cassette. i don't care -- it's just fabulous.
That's super kind, Kevin! Would love to do something of the sort. Know some friends who have put some of their locally made music onto cassette, so it's possible!
subscribed immediately, absolutely incredible work my friend wow sounds awesome🤟and you were able to meet the man himself too!
Thank you so much Nicholas! One of my happiest memories :)
22:31 haha, well it's obvious to me now Charlie Clouser is a huge Frizzi fan! #hellozepp
Have always thought the same!
I love how Frizzi uses that "choir mellotron" sound, he uses the lower darker keys. I have never heard anyone else use that, but it sound very, very atomspheric. If you have not, check out Frizzi's main theme on Puppet Master The littelest reich, it is awesome.
I absolutely agree. He really did create his own sound and style. Was super exciting to hear that familiar Mellotron choir in the Puppet Master.
Wow! You totally nailed that! Thank You! from a big Frizzi and Fulci Fan!
Thanks a ton! Means a lot coming from a fellow fan!
Outstanding! I would like to see House by the cemetery too
Thanks so much! I love that score. My first Fulci film too!
Incredible work mate, Fabio is my favorite horror score composer. What an excellent tribute to two of the masters. Fulci lives!
Thank you so much Viking ov Asgard! Was an absolute joy to put together. Fulci lives indeed!!!

Wow, thanks so much, Trevor!
TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bloody amazing!!! Cheers and grats!
Thanks so much Seth!
This is brilliant! Currently working on a no budget horror film inspired by the films of Fulci, Agento, Bava. So using a fair bit of Frizzi as temp tracks until we find a composer to work on some original stuff
Thank you so much for the kind words! I used Fabio's music heaps for short films as well haha! Let us know as I may be able to assist in the music department :)
Thanks heaps again for the kind words!

Good work 😮
@@pistoFF Thanks heaps! 😊
Great job! Fulci's films wouldn't be what they are if it weren't for Frizzi's music, which you somehow managed to make even more obvious here. Congratulations!
Man, thanks so much! Means a lot. Totally agree. Fabio's contribution to the films can't be overstated. Have always wondered what Fabio would've composed for those later films.
@@MathiasT.Taylor We'll never know, unfortunately, though we are fortunate enough they did collaborate on some of Fulci's greatest films. By the way, I just checked your channel, realized I had already watched your excellent Dawn of the Dead/Goblin tribute (one of my favorite movies as well as one of my favorite soundtracks ever) and noticed you're quite good at composing too. Keep up the good work!
@@thescribblingscrawlers-poe3782 Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed the Dawn of the Dead tribute and original compositions. Some of those originals are pretty old so definitely keen to get some newer stuff out there. As well as some more soundtrack tributes :)
You're a very talented person. I love the ending too! my gosh.
Thank you so much for the kind words Anastasia! Really humbled by the entire experience. Such an incredibly kind and talented composer :)
Absolutely Amazing Tribute to the Maestro 🖤🎶🖤
Hey Thomas, thank you so much for your kinds words! I've just been watching your stop motion work and it is truly astonishing. The first film I ever saw was Ray Harryhausen's 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad' and I've been a lover of the form ever since. Am currently working on an animated project and your work has been truly inspiring.

Thanks so much again @combatshox! Here's hoping I can catch a show while he's still on the road 🤞
Am a bit late to this party, but have to say you've put together a nice little tribute here. Nice work Mathias, thanks for sharing it.
Thanks a lot for the super kind words, George!
@@omallakas4156 Means a lot to hear the tribute has let you take a step back in time. I'm very thankful to have had at least a good couple of years with my local video stores. Still have an amazing video shop here in my relatively small town in fact! And wow, he's produced some beautiful music. Stunning orchestrations too. Will be taking a further look into his work, so thanks heaps for the recommendation, George :)
sweeet.
Capolavoro.
Awesome, great work!
Thanks so much, Billy!
Excellent! Frizzi have to see this. =) Refreshing also with someone who's got ears! Everyone today all over the internet is just tabs this and tabs that. Alot of people can't even figure out a tune with the aid of a video. The need both (?!) Again, this was great. I enjoyed it immensly.
Thank you so much for such kind words! It's always fun picking out the individual bits by ear. It's almost like a free musical arrangement education. Amazingly the maestro himself has seen it and had some incredibly kind things to say :D Thanks so much again :)
You're welcome friend.
