I did a cover of the solo on my channel if you want to check it out. It's very difficult compared to the rest of Akira's music, as his vibrato is very tight and moves around quite gracefully. With that said, I think Mathias did a great job.
The fact you complied together so many songs shows both great talent and love for the game. This should be listened to by any fan of the game, at least once. Thanks for making this.

Your version of "Betrayal" hits hard, knowing the destiny of James when he's about to face the uncomfortable truth about the murders of Mary and Eddie, in the form of both Pyramid Heads. Again, a masterpiece that's worth the time to listen to!
You were the only one who was able to replicate the long version of "Theme Of Laura". Seriously, I've been waiting for years to hear this amazing version. Thank you so much. The rest of tracks are incredible as well, the idea of including some of the old samples mixed with your own instrument performances was definitely a fresh touch, so unique and delivers the sensation of being listening a new release from Akira Yamaoka himself.

Wow! This is incredible! I have always found the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack to be soul-cleansing to listen to. I love hearing covers from different musicians, and I have to say, this tribute has to be one of my favorites! There are so many layers to each track and the production value of not just the music but the video editing as well is stellar. In your tracklist, you included all the familiar favorites fans would expect to find. Theme of Laura was masterfully done, and I was excited to hear the inclusion of the solo from the game trailer as well as the acoustic outro at the end of it. I also think your version of Promise (reprise) is one of the most beautiful renditions of the song I've heard. But in addition to these, you also surprised me along the way by covering several songs I wouldn't have anticipated. Each Interlude was so immersive and I don't know that I've ever heard anyone attempt to cover Betrayal and still manage to capture the emotion of the original! Anyway, I'm happy I found this underrated gem. Amazing job A++. I hope you enjoyed making it as much as I enjoyed listening to it. I'll be listening to this on repeat for years to come.

@@MathiasT.Taylor On the bright side, it is fortunate that, unlike other tracks that never made it out of trailers (like Akira's instrumental version of "You're Not Here" from the SH3 E3 Trailer), we actually do have a rip of that outro without intrusive sound effects. I'm pleased to report that I finished listening to this whole video now. You did an astonishing job. I was impressed with how much effort you put into not only the covers themselves, but the videos that accompanied the music. Team Silent would be proud! Hope you do more SH covers in the future. SH4 has a lot of good music that we need more instrumental covers of.

I have always found the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack to be soul-cleansing to listen to. I love hearing covers from different musicians, and I have to say, this tribute has to be one of my favorites! There are so many layers to each track and the production value of not just the music but the video editing as well is stellar.
In your tracklist, you included all the familiar favorites fans would expect to find. Theme of Laura was masterfully done, and I was excited to hear the inclusion of the solo from the game trailer as well as the acoustic outro at the end of it. I also think your version of Promise (reprise) is one of the most beautiful renditions of the song I've heard. But in addition to these, you also surprised me along the way by covering several songs I wouldn't have anticipated. Each Interlude was so immersive and I don't know that I've ever heard anyone attempt to cover Betrayal and still manage to capture the emotion of the original!
Anyway, I'm happy I found this underrated gem. Amazing job A++. I hope you enjoyed making it as much as I enjoyed listening to it. I'll be listening to this on repeat for years to come.

I agree that Akira Yamaoka's scores are world class and throw the listener through a whirlwind of emotions as all good music does. Betrayal has been a long time favourite and am glad to hear it still preserved the atmosphere of the original. Am super excited to tackle more Silent Hill music in the not-so-distant future!

@@MathiasT.Taylor On the bright side, it is fortunate that, unlike other tracks that never made it out of trailers (like Akira's instrumental version of "You're Not Here" from the SH3 E3 Trailer), we actually do have a rip of that outro without intrusive sound effects.
I'm pleased to report that I finished listening to this whole video now. You did an astonishing job. I was impressed with how much effort you put into not only the covers themselves, but the videos that accompanied the music. Team Silent would be proud! Hope you do more SH covers in the future. SH4 has a lot of good music that we need more instrumental covers of.
