Agree, agree , agree. He dont play it, he lives it. I was looking to hear that masterpiece and i try many today in YT , but not satisfy. But with him, i found the perfect harmony, subtility, emotion. Most of the poeple who play it focus too much on the technical part and they have not enough subtility. But that man, he is beyond technical skills then he really can give us the soul of that masterpiece. He make one with the guitar and the music.
Many play it this slow or slower and don't match this level of expression. Speed has little to do with it, but I guess that's what untrained ears find easier to detect.
La dolcezza delle carezze a queste corde meravigliose, il tempo subdolo e pacato, i sospiri che ne crea con le sue dita, ci raccontano di un amore perduto del quale ci restano solo i tristissimi ricordi. Il suo “deliver” e talmente delicato e pieno di tante emozioni che fa sorgere indizi di lacrime agli occhi. I used to play this, at least try to play it. I have listened to over 100 of the finest guitarists in the world playing this. Pablo Sáinz-Villegas's performance is simply the best that I have ever heard. What a pleasure to listen and enjoy.

I saw him perform at Segerstrom Center for the Arts about two years ago. Needless to say, the entire concert was amazing. What made it memorable for me was when he played this piece and dedicated it to a member of the orchestra who had just passed away. It was very touching and emotional, but at the same time, very beautiful and magical.

Yo tuve el placer de escucharle tocar (esta pieza incluida) nada más y nada menos que en el patio de los Arrayanes de la Alhambra. Imagínense lo que fue escuchar esto en la Alhambra.
Pues ya hemos ido mi mujer y yo a escuchar a este gran músico al Convento de Santo Domingo en Teguise Lanzarote. Que gran experiencia, que sensibilidad tiene en su proceder, la idea de ir fue mía, pero a quien se le saltaron las lágrimas con las piezas Asturias y Recuerdos de La Alhambra fue a mi querida esposa.
Existen en la actualidad guitarristas extraordinarios, con gran dominio técnico de su instrumento. Pero con Pablo Sainz sucede algo diferente. Pablo trasciende su instrumento, que deja de ser el protagonista y lo convierte en parte suya, para establecer un coloquio entre su alma y la nuestra. Y podemos visualizar un encuentro entre Pablo, Tarrega, sus guitarras y solo cada uno de nosotros, mirando y sintiendo La Alhambra. Una experiencia única, que llega y acaricia el alma y nos llena de emociones. Felicitaciones Maestro! Como usted existen muy pocos y ninguno en su nivel interpretativo!

Bellisima interpretacion. Gracias a Dios que he podido visitar Granada y estar en La Alhambra. El magnetismo de este lugar es unico. Gracias maestro Pablo por esta magistral interpretacion. This performance is insane! He is in perfect control of that tremolo. It alwalys amazes me how much impact the tempo of a speed has. He playd alhambra a little bit slower than the most and it sounds like a total different piece.
