Just wanted to give you guys an update to this story.... We spent the better part of the day saving Private Ryan. It was a long strenuous hike out with him being scared and trying to claw and bite us the whole way. We took him to Carols animal friends at the Wildlife in need center. They did everything they could to save Ryan. He had an old compound fracture on his right humerus, and wounds next to the fracture were badly infected. Unfortunately, despite our best intentions, Private Ryan did not make it... Kind of depressing... I was really rooting for him. Sometimes despite effort and intentions we fail. I take a little relief in knowing he died a better death than he would of on that island with no water or food...

I use to squirrel hunt call my self scouting. But realized I was burning up my early season spots not good. Lol

Great content as usual. I’m always learning something from you. Heading out this afternoon to check an area. I didn’t realize I was able to put up cameras on public. Gotta read the rules again I guess. Sorry Private Ryan didn’t make it. At least you were able to put an end to his struggle.

The bugs don't seem too bad this year. Sometimes they chase me out .
Out squirrel hunting one day with few buddies. Walk up on wounded owl that couldn't fly. We tossed down squirrel and he jump on it almost immediately an started tearing it up. Must been starving. We went back up house called place came out and got him
