This video covers everything you need to know about One Puch Mode in the Definitive Edition of Dead Island, including what it does, how it works, and how to activate it in the first place.
it's based on a fan mod, fist of the dead star, (referencing the fist of the north star anime) they call it one punch mode (a reference to another anime, one punch man) it's a tribute to a glorious fan mod that makes the game amazing.

I actually had modded brass knuckles on the xbox 360 version that I got from a guy on multiplayer. It was practically the same as this mode but it sent everything and anything flying!

You shoulda seen dead island riptides super kick. John used to have the ability to send his enemies flying with his running kick but they patched it for no fucking reason even though it was the most fun part of the game

Oh so that's what it does. I used it to play through the Ryder campaign simply because I wanted to get through it very fast but I feel it wasn't even necessary. Ryder campaign is chock full of ammo so I can just shoot everything.

@@thesinofwrath092 thts true 1st time i encountered the thug zombie i was all like "imma end this mf with one punch" and I punched thn..he send me flying i was like "wtf???!" Haha discovered at the time tht the one punch mode works on regular zombs bt nt the special infected haha 😄

I have dead island special editon but when picking a character to play as there was no option to play in one punch mode do I have the wrong version of the game or what the game play of this video looks like the same game I have

I played with a modder who gave me insane brass knuckles that basically give me one punch mode. I get infinite stamina and the zombies fly away. pretty lit

The_Punisher_J56 I play on Xbox one and 360. actually it's my fury weapon. When your character goes into fury they pull out a special weapon that they can only use in fury mode. If you go into fury with one weapon slot open you can pick up a weapon in fury and they'll drop their fury weapon. Then you can pick it up once furys over and basically be in fury forever. Sam Bs weapon is the fury fist, it doesn't cost stamina to use and it launches zombies. That's what I have. You can transfer them between characters by giving the item to your friend and joining the game as another character and having them drop it for you. It's pretty sick.im not entirely sure if you can do it on the newer consoles. It might be patched
Gabriel Sage I know one that you can do Sam B's Fury and trade it for a weapon and the brass knuckles can kill a zombie in two shots except a Ram, thug, and floater

you level a heck of a lot slower in this mode because the challenges are ingame objectives that actually reward decent xp as you play
It's true, although I'm pretty sure the XP from challenges has been dramatically decreased in the Definitive Edition. Even in normal mode

Bad things about one punch mode is you cant unlock achievements cant do challenges cant play online

Nah, I don't think that's possible. If you create a character in One Punch Mode you can never leave One Punch Mode.
Yes, you can play One Punch Mode in Riptide. No, if you die you don't have to restart from the beginning.

The only problem I have with this game is there’s only like 1-10 zombies attacking you at the same time they take too long to kill and are very easy to kill I thought it would be like Dying Light but better since your always on land no grappling hook
I love this allot to have less zombies but more scary .
Also i would say zombies are harder in this game thats why they are so less probably. I love it even more then dying light
Dying light is verry good and even dl2 is good still but i dont like the hordes of zombies there it mostly forces you to run at times and im also not a Mirrors edge Fan. I like less parkeur and instead more abilitys like in dead Islands with 4 character with own skilltrees. Also dying light 1 and 2 has no analog hitting my fav feature, sucks abit when i play dl1 and 2

This is only for the Definitive Edition. You're playing the original version of the game on the Xbox 360.

It used to be in Riptide, but it was removed for some reason. The only way to still play One Punch Mode is if you already had a save file with it activated before it was removed.
