A lot of lullabies do tend to have fairly dark lyrics.

Also it's been scientifically proven that, whether the parent knows it or not, the lullabies calm them as much as they calm the child. So Stolas putting in that kind of thing, (and his marital issues at the beginning), makes perfect sense.
In Poland some parents sing lullaby about King, Princess and Farmer (idk how to call him in English) Who were killed by dog, Cat and Mouse.

we don't even know what Stolas does for work with that book, he's got to be on a big hitlist for having that book to travel to the living world, I can bet either he has made a deal with some more powerful demon to keep his butt safe. It's implied that Stolas slept with someone else other than Blitz, another imp, and *that's* what set her off in the beginning of this episode. She was already aware of the affair with Blitz, and hinted by Octavia's comment, it's likely a daily thing. Constantly reprimanding Stolas for wanting to sleep with lesser demons in the caste system.

@@carumsarene I mean we didn't get her reaction right after that scene except a shocked expression. Blitz said that right in front of everyone else. So it makes sense that in addition to dealing with that embarrassment she'd be angry at Stolas' actions. Let alone an Imp she considers to be far beneath her. After all without that happening there'd be no damage to their reputation in the first place. According to Octavia they even got along until that point.
@@darkshadowstorm7056 well no, I doubt that it would all be smooth sailing if Stolas didnt have that affair. We can infer throughout each episode that their marriage isnt a happy one, maybe even arranged- aside from the fact that Stolas might not even be bi, but gay. He might have grown out of love for his wife, if he was ever truly in love with her in the first place. “Getting along” to Octavia, which was when she was a little girl, would just mean “not fighting every day.” Even if this specific affair didn’t happen and her mother’s reputation wasn’t damaged up until this point, problems would still eventually arise. Stolas didn’t do this for the hell of it, or just to be a one-note gag. He is clearly three-dimensional and there’s a lot more to just this once instance in his arc.
They live in hell but they're not already dead and can actually die. They are Imps, not human souls like the ones in Hazbin Hotel.
This also explains why people/creature born in hell actually age.

The question is, can the dead actually die again, in hazbin angel dust kinda said its not possible for him to die again or at least getting killed by vaggie. All i could find is that what Anita said. There are beings wielding weapons that can kill everyone in hell, but beside those special weapons, killing someone permanently in hell is not a thing.

Loo Loo land is a rip off to King Lucifer’s (Charlie’s dad) Lu Lu world. Lucifer’s motif design are apples (apples are even seen in the hotel windows and doors in the Hazbin Hotel pilot). That is probably why everything is apple themed.

Also you see that it is called “Mammon’s Loo Loo Land” and everything is insanely expensive. This makes sense because Mammon is the demon prince of Greed and material wealth. Helluva Boss themselves also confirmed that Loo Loo Land is the the Greed Ring, most likely controlled by Mammon. Lucifer on the other hand resides in Pride Ring.
Viv said that Stolas' powers are different than Alastor's from Hazbin Hotel. However the thing I find interesting is that she also said that Stolas is actually stronger than Alastor
As for the reason Stolas hired I.M.P. despite being more than capable of protecting himself and his daughter? It's because he wanted to spend time with her uninterrupted. Though having Blitzo around is a nice bonus

Goetia family is a reference to the Ars Goetia of the lesser keys of Solomon. Stolas is based on the Stolas of the Ars Goetia but he also takes on the form of a raven in that well as an owl.
I wonder if that was the inspiration for the Raven man... When I was in like middle school there was a game where you could supposedly summon the Raven man. He was supposed to know all that there was about everything and you could ask him so many questions and he'd answer honestly. But in return you had to answer so many questions for him and you had to be honest, there was also something about not looking in his eyes because you'd lose your soul. It's been a long time since I actually thought about that crap, but I have seen where in mythology Stolas was supposed to be incredibly wise, he could alter time to suit him, etc.

I love how Stolas couldn't come up with a reason on why their life is now like this and what I mean by that is most people in that situation would blame the other person or put all the blame on themselves. Not Stolas he tried to think of what went wrong and couldn't come up with the words which mean he doesn't know who messed up first or what happened to them. It be like that sometimes two people just drift apart and fall out of love. It's sad especially since there is a kid involved. As a child from a divorce family it terrible seeing this but I love how Stolas said he will never abandon his daughter it nice. :)

The question Octavia asked the mascot was a reference to how we in our world have Disneyland and Disneyworld which is what the episode is referencing and fizzarolli is voiced by Alex Brightman who is in the Broadway show of Beetle juice
Okay so we’ve got a timeline forming with episodes, because of the events happening in Goesha household.
-Flashback with kid Octavia at the beginning of this episode is the start.
**Next two events might be interchangeable.
-Skip to Season 1 Episode 1: Murder Family, Blitzo and Stolas by this point haven’t had any interactions.
-Next is the Pilot. We have the scene with Blitzo recalling his first affair (or one of the first) with Stolas, following out the window and telling the wife he did her husband. By that order of events, the beginning of this episode (Season 1 Ep. 2) happened that very same morning or within the same day, since the wife was outside. The pilot might be they latest episode chronologically.
Course all of this is dependent on how long Octavia’s parents have been fighting. Is this something that happened just last night, in the week? Months, or years ago? We don’t really know, but maybe this explanation gives a general idea.
If I'm not wrong, in the reunion they had in the pilot, Moxxie said they couldn't aford a billboard, but in the episode 1 there is a IMP billboard next to the building. Not sure about everything else, but things aside, I love this episode.
I guess it's a matter of how much, if at all, is the pilot canon to the show. The point of a pilot is a proof of concept, so its cannonicity tends to be up to the creator. And I don't recall if that's ever been stated yet.
I do think the pilot comes before episode one, Blitz already had the book he said he slept with Stolas in order to have it ( the scene where he said to stella he fucked her husband : to me he never had the book before this scene)
And in episode 1 Stolas said to Blitz that he let him use the book for a while ( which also coincides with their instagrams ) to me the deal was an idea of Stolas to keep a regular relation with Blitz because he really liked what happened between them ( during the pilot and even their interraction we can see on Instagram)
So to me the pilot comes first ( also the billboard yes) then episode 1 and then episode 2 , Stella found out that Stolas and Blitz slept together again ( the deal they made in episode 1, on instagram we saw that Blitz came to Stolas' house and he even fell asleep in their bed) and that is what bothers Stella, that they slept in their bed and that he is an imp

Because I’ve seen these questions several times in the comments: In the Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss universe, there are 2 types of demons; Hellborns, and Sinners.
Hellborns, as the name implies, are demons native to hell. Of the characters we’ve seen so far, there are the fallen Angel hierarchy (Charlie, Lucifer, Lilith, Stolas, Stella, Octavia, etc.), Hellhounds (Loona), and Imps (Blitzo, Moxie, Millie, etc.).
Sinners are humans who’ve died & gone to hell (again, obvious). Alastor, Vaggie, Angel Dust, Cherri Bomb, Husker, Nifty, Sir Pentious, Vox, and Valentino are all sinners that used to be human, and it seems that the greater your sins were in life, the more powerful you end up being in hell (Alastor was a cannibalistic serial killer/radio host in the 1930s, and apparently died in 1934).

Stolas is from goetian demonology. Hence the "Goetia family" and he is often depicted as an owl, albeit a weird one.
If you look into stolas’s song it’s foreshadowing the possibility that he might die in the future of this series, finishing his last work, his daughter will be okay when he’s not around

From the world of the future, asking for a Loona episode while wearing a Ladybug and Cat Noir shirt was oddly prophetic.
The reason Loo Loo Land is Apple themed is because Lucifer in that universe has an Apple theme with his outfit and other things. Weather this is limited to just Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss I don’t know.

I think inviting Blitz was a two part reason for Stolas. First was the obvious, being able to flirt with him the whole time, But also because Blitz could competently take care of the protection part so that Stolas could focus his attention on being with his daughter. Since obviously he could take care of himself, but it still requires his attention and time.
Sadly I've seen some people are actually very disturbed by Loona,
and these same people believe Vivienne and all things furry are secret code for bestiality, which is why I think Vivienne is skillfully planning to wait till later or soon to have a more Loona-focused episode. I saw a reactiona channel guy stop watching Helluva Boss because he said he was too disturbed by seeing Loona.
So, The current characters we've been dealing with are less 'furry' in nature. Kind of. At least you wouldn't look at Stolas and his wife and say "that's a furry convention on wheels"
I suspect Vivienne is planning out the episodes like this to get people hooked or at least enjoying the characters before she enters the unspeakable realm of hell hounds. aka other normal denizens of Hell who most people watching don't actually have a problem with seeing in a cartoon.
But Vivienne vivzipop is smart and I agree with the decision if it was made on purpose.
I think that Stolas’ song is referencing the end of the world and the final battle between heaven and hell

I love this Song. Seen it about 15 times now. It's as beautiful as it is dark and it slaps so hard!
I also love the out of touch father that tries to the best of his abilities trope and when it gets resolved. He may be a horny bastard and a terrible husband but he sure is a loving dad, and that makes his character so much deeper. Especially the line "now all my stories have been told exept for one" hit me hard, since it means that he doesn't see any more meaning in his life exept for his daughter. It also seems like his marriage has been strained for a long time, over a decade now. So him cheating on his wife wasn't a spontanious thing but the drive to do so has been built up over years of a more and more distant relationship. With the addition of his daughter distancing herself from him as well, he propably had just no joys left in his life and that brought him to do something drastic, just to do something new. Not excusing his actions here btw, cheating on someone is always terrible, just saying that now we have a context to his actions, and it makes the storyline a lot more interesting!

a bit late but, not all demons here are former mortals, some are born in hell and is a demon since birth. the Goetia family is based on the book Ars Goetia(contains 72 demon pillars that king Solomon commanded) and Prince Stolas is one of the 72.
Anything that is a Hellborn demon has never died before cause they were born there. Sinners are ones that died and went to hell. They can technically die again too. Most of the demons we saw this episode were all Imps which are Hellborn demons. Stolas is actually based off one of the Princes of Hell in real world demonology so he is a Hellborn too. The more you know. :)
