It's highly implied that Octavia isn't close to her mother. Besides the single family portrait, all the pictures Octavia appears in is just her and her father. Octavia is also more concerned with Stolas leaving her alone and never coming back.
It's probably safe to assume that stolas was the one who did most if not all the work raising Octavia.
@@alexjewett7455 Yeah. Especially since we know that Estella (the mother) told her family that she "was glad one egg fell out of her". Granted she was talking about not having to have seggs with Stolas anymore, but she didn't sound grateful for her daughter at all.
Stolas is so powerful that he casually takes his daughter to space to sing her a lullabye while a star goes supernova around them. It's like he does this stuff every day...

I'm not gonna lie, Stolas truly is the lifeblood of this series. No other character has been given quite as much depth or characterization
Hopefully soon someone starts to help carry that narrative weight. It’s not sustainable or ideal for a single character to drive an entire series in that way, especially with all the potential that other characters have.

@@gigachad3925 blitz have helped carry the series to in episode 6-7 and even season 2 episode 1 though that was mostly a stolas own episode moxie had really good character development in 5 and 6 to millie had almost none except a tiny bit in season 5 and same with Luna but only episode 3

well it's supposed to be a rip off of lulu land (with u's) , lucifer's amusement park , that looloo land have copyrights issues with, so the mascot of Lulu land is supposed to be the forbidden fruit in the creation , but looloo land's mascot is just a copyrigh-free shitty version of it

1) Lucifer
2) Charlie
3) the Sins
4) the Goetias
5) Overlords
actually Stolas, while pretty powerfull, is actually in the middle of the power scale. From the bottom to the top it goes: Hell hounds and Imps; succubi, incubi and other hell born demons (besides Imps and Hell hounds); the sinners that get sent to Hell; the overlords (above average sinners, got some good power up their sleves); the Ars Goetia family (fancy upper class royal family, really freaking powerful); the seven deadly sins ( the kings of each Ring and embodiments of one of the seven deadly sins); Charlie and Lilith (Lucifer's daughter and wife respecfully) and then Lucifer (also one of the seven deadly sins but he's the one in charge of everything, no one is more powerful then him in hell, however we have no clue of how powerful the angels are in comparison and if God even plays into the matter)
Stolas & Millie have different VAs. In the pilot, Millie & Loona were voiced by the same person, they got switched because Vivienne Medrano wants every character to have their own voice.

If there's one thing that I didn't expect from that second episode... It would be Stolas getting character development. We'd all think he'd be the comedic pervy freak... But he actually has a fatherly side to him. I can't believe that I actually like Stolas now.

Yeah I started watching this show first and then eventually started watching Brandon Rogers when I found out about her after a while I'm like is that Stella I have to go watch the end credit side by side it's so obvious but took me too long to figure out

What every reactor misses in the video is that if you pause and look in the background of the different angled shots of the family dinner scene there are small signs in the background that something was extremely wrong with this family. This shows that people easily over look huge red flags when presented with a touching scene of affection. Brilliant writing.

The first mounted head of a brown haired teenage girl (Which is a lot harder to see and is half hidden)
The second mounted head of a child surrounded by firearms. (Which is placed in plain sight)

(The axes on the wall is normal, some people like axes)
I caught the mounted head over the fireplace during a second watchthrough and was shocked I missed it lol. it's SO obvious. from there I just keep catching more signs the family isn't right, or whoever I'm watching react catches a sign that I missed.

I just really hope we get a duet between Via and Stolas at some point, it would break me if it's a reprise of You Will Be Okay, but any duet would be a gift both of their VA's are broadway stars with incredible voices

In later episodes we learn much more about Stolas, his motives and home life. I don't want to spoil anything, but in the video you have the right idea. I can really understand your emotions about his relationship with Octavia. I have a rather cold relationship with my father, and we live apart (literally in opposite parts of my country) sense I was 9 years old, I never talked to him normally all these years (I'm graduating from high school this year). Thank you so much for your content, I love this channel and this show so much ♥️

Stolas certainly won't be winning any Father-of-the-Year awards, but he really truly loves his daughter, and the fact that he makes an effort already puts him above about 85% of all fictional parents.
Stella isn't angry that Stolas cheated on her, she's angry that he, a high-class Prince, cheated on her with an _imp,_ the bottom of the demonic class ladder. You had it absolutely right when you compared her to Odalia Blight; the literally only thing Stella cares an ounce of a shit about is her own public image.
Fun fact: Stolas is an actual demon described in the real-world Ars Goetia. He's depicted as a long-legged owl wearing a crown, and is in charge of astronomy, prophecy, precious gems, and poisonous plants. Notice that in the show Stolas often wears a top hat with a crown on it, and there's a lot of greenery in his palace. And a cute detail, Octavia's beanie also has a little crown on it.
8:00 if you look very closely in the dining room, there’s a taxidermied human head mounted on the wall and the lamp in the corner is made from a spine. Definitely easy to miss though, especially if you don’t already know that stuff is there
Yeah, You Will Be Okay is an amazing sequence, still probably my favorite song they've done.

There are different types of demons, sinners and some overlords are the souls of the world of the living and can only go to the ring of pride. Imps like Blitz, Moxxie or Millie as well as hellhounds like Loona and the rest of overlords like Stolas are born in hell and can travel to the rest of the rings of sin. There are different social classes being the Imps the lowest

I knew Stolas voiced changed and was a little sad and yet after hearing his performance this episode i adopted him as Stolas.

Most people call that the worst In the series
Episode 2 of Helluva Boss is situated in the Greed Ring of Hell. Loo Loo Land is as said, a shameless rip off of the original Lu Lu World that was owned by Lucifer, the prince of the Pride Ring and the King of Hell. The Greed Ring is ruled by Mammon, the demon prince of Greed. Helluva Boss explores more of the structure of Hell, showcasing different places of Hell aside from the main Pride Ring, as well as showcasing the social hierarchy of Hell. I have a bunch of notes for all the episodes, I'm not sure if you would want them, but I would post them, hopefully to help you understand some things.
And oh boy! Can't wait for you to react more of Helluva Boss, your speculations are great, so you better prepare yourself for a rollercoaster

Just like knowing real life gemstones can give you background and hints of future characters in Steven Universe, knowing real like biblical references and demonology (especially the Ars Goetia) will give you background and character hints for characters like Stolas from Helluva Boss and Lucifer from the Hazbin Hotel pilot.

Without a doubt, there’s true character development growing among these characters with each episode. They are shown as outlandish and brash most of the time, but perhaps there’s a heart underneath.

Loo Loo Land's mascot being an apple weirdly makes sense when you know who Lucifer is; the guy who gave the galaxy brain apple to Adam and/or Eve. I think Lulu World had some apple paraphernalia in it too. Via expositied that Loo Loo Land was "Lulu World At Home" so to speak, so that would apparently include the apple boi.

A little bit of a spoiler but I felt like I should say this because a lot of people miss out on this detail, Stolas was MADE to marry Stella, he never really had a choice on who he could love, because (this part I’m guessing because I’m not 100% sure about it) his father made him marry her. He was engaged to her at a very young age.
