I think it's more of he didn't want to get disturb while trying to bond with Octavia so he hired the I.M.P crew to keep anything annoying off them, Blitzo being around is just a bonus.

You know is pretty sad when Royalty in hell has more respect(At least in Stolas and Charlie case) for the common folk more than our world
Aside from this being a cartoon, if I had to be pedantic and try and “explain” that, maybe it has to do with monarchs being taught from birth that they are quite literally god’s gift to their kingdom, and royalty in hell wouldn’t have that premonition (for obvious reasons.) There’s a very literal difference of power among different classes, so the hierarchy is built-in
I wonder if Blitz and the clown are related. Like he’s a robot but someone made him so maybe the person he was molded after. They both have similar horns, an emblem on their forehead, & would explain why he tried to be a clown. Maybe it was the family business?
In the pilot it was shown that Blitzo apparently grew up in the circus,so he probably had some experience with Fizzarolli and his Robo counterpart

Well it was also revealed that the fizz robot was just a robot version of the original fizzaroli that supposedly is a clown at the circus Lulu World.
There's definitely more to Stolas than the previous episodes show him.

Something I found interesting, in all the wife's screaming and complaining, not once does she mention being heartbroken or betrayed. I don't believe that she loves him. She's she is simply insulted that he's choosing to sleep with an imp (Hell's lowest form of life) Rather than somebody of their own aristocracy. She's not upset that he's cheating she's upset with who he's cheating with. She also gives off the vibe that she does not in fact care for her child. As a matter of fact this feels a hell of a lot like an arranged aristocracy marriage. Or the fact that the dad might be gay but still loves his daughter.
Prince Stolas is a noble in Hell, and based off the original Stolas from the Ars Goetia, where he is listed as one of the grand princes of Hell. Also on Fizz's contract we see Mammon and Lucifer being mention, with Mammon being the Lord of Greed and Fizz's maker.

Even with how unstable and toxic Stolas' relationship is with his wife as well as his lifestyle; given how much expectation he's forced to deal with in terms of his status and his sexuality, Octavia is physical proof of what good came out of it. With how twisted it is with Stolas, he's shown to be capable of demonstrating pure unconditional love for his daughter.

You can tell from the flashback as well as the final talk that regardless of Stolas' behavior, Octavia has a deep connection to him. This is likely because Stolas was literally the only one who was ever there for her. You do see that, Stolas' wife refuses to get out of bed to comfort her daughter. There's always going to be that natural connection between a mother and her child, but the connection Octavia and Stolas is there too. The discord between Stolas and his wife is literally destroying Octavia mentally, because she's torn between the one who literally birthed her and the one who was always there for her.
In Short, see P!nk's music video 'Family Portait' for another look at that kind of dilemma. I'm writing a similar one in my story too.

I think it’s interesting how Stella is more upset that stolas slept with an imp rather than that he cheated on her. She cares more about their social standing rather than their love and marriage
7:04- That was only a single star blowing up, but it does represent the end days. Basically the song is Stolas saying he will die in the apocalypse, but that since Octavia is innocent she won't be killed with him, the evil demons, and the fallen angels.
I think it's obvious that Stolas is in a arranged marriage, but still loves his daughter. It also gets me to wonder that maybe Stolas family did not approve of him being Gay, so they forced him into a marriage with his wife.

Why is this having Agent 47 reference in the Vivziepop-Verse!?
Goth clothing, sad music, the quote "Are you two done yelling for the day?" all point that this episode likely didn't take place right after the pilot. It's a lot more likely that they've been fighting/unhappy for a long time.
Even if you take Season 2 out of it, with the flashback episode. You could still come to the conclusion that this isn't a happy household. Just figure I'd mention that, since I don't see ANYONE else say it. Octavia's definitely acting like a troubled teen who has lived in an unhappy house for more than a day or two, or even a week wouldn't make someone behave like this and so set in their ways about it in angsty teen mode.
Gotta say, I've watched this episode over 100 times via reaction videos and I am still enjoying it each time.

I lost my birth father when I was 2 years old and never really knew him, but I've always needed a strong father figure in my life... and from what I was told about him, he was a strong, loyal husband and a good father towards me. And I hear this song and I cry thinking about what could've been different if that house fire hadn't happened...
