This isn't new. I moved to Los Angeles right after college, which was over 10 years ago now. I was desperate to establish residency. So I applied to every fast food and retail job I could find. I was never hired. In 3 months, I never even received a single interview for those hire on-the-spot jobs. I actually got a job in my field before I had a single interview for those entry-level roles. A black guy I met at work told me they [Latinos] hoarde those jobs for Latinos and won't anyone who isn't white or Hispanic. He went on to say I didn't want to work in those places anyway because they'd give me a hard time until they forced me to quit. Here in California, the largest discrimination judgments awarded in the state involve Blacks who face on-the-job harassment from Latinos.

I’ve talked to many black owners who hire others, and the reason that they give is that they don’t discriminate it’s not a lack of good black workers it’s us always trying to show the world how things really should be. That nobody should care and focus about race. However, we are the only ones who are walking the right path in that department and we have to realize that that does not work so we have to adjust and hire our own people only!

I’m from California and I was just noticing how ALL the McDonalds from 150 miles away ALL have Hispanics working and NO Black people. 🤔

As a non FBA living in the UK, I believe FBA’s need to separate and form their own black owned stores, construction companies, nurses, and everything else. History has shown that when “black people” try and develop enterprises as a group, it gets infiltrated and broken up. Burned down even (black Wall Street). The hate and jealousy is real. No hotels, banks, malls, movie theaters or grocery stores. Black survival ultimately relies on people that don’t look like us. Even if we have businesses-we do not ultimately cut the checks. Some will be able to open small businesses and thrive-but the word is out. Part of the “American dream” is to hold blacks in contempt; and by no means will they allow us to be totally free to provide for our families. The proof is in the pudding…just look around you!

In college, I applied for a job at Burger King. I thought I would be cooking burgers and fries but the manger gave me a mop and broom to be a janitor. I quit and got a part-time at UPS while attending the racists UT-Knoxville. I’ll stop there cuz I got more true incidents that have happened to me.

This literally happened to my husband yesterday. We were out and we noticed that someone had left the lid to their gas tank open on a pickup truck. The owner of the vehicle, a Hispanic man, eventually walked up and my husband tried to inform him that his gas tank lid was open. He pretended like he couldn't understand my husband saying "huh? Huh?" and just looked at him stupidly and said "uhhh... No.", got in his truck, and pulled off... With his gas tank wide open.
This has happened to me many times with Hispanics; usually Mexicans who I KNOW absolutely understand english, and me perfectly. I completely reject that black/brown alliance nonsense; I've had more racial issues with hispanics AKA "Conquistador European Spaniard descendents" than any other group.

This has been going on for a long time. I'm surprised people are just now catching on.
It's because the democrats stated for years that these people were not here to take American jobs.
Additionally, so many blacks do not want to open businesses in the fast food industry (I am not a business person, and I have no interest in a business in the food industry). However, like she said, a large group of black businesses do not hire our people.
So, our recourse is to stop shopping at these establishments.

I am in the Bay, down here in Silicon Valley. A lot has changed since the 90's when I worked at a job for 22 years. I have gotten 3 jobs since then. You go by to visit the desired place you want to work, but the application are filled out on line. If pass the background check you are usually hired. I am only black woman at my last 3 jobs, that is a issue in itself.

I experienced the same thing in San Francisco some 20 years ago for a janitorial job the company was ABS .I knew in 5 seconds I didn't have a snowball chance in hell of getting hired

I am a adult from Washington DC and a few years ago I was desperate for employment and went to a McDonalds with a Hiring sign on the door to inquire about employment and they told me that they weren’t… I looked behind the counter and they had all Hispanic employees!! Some here have people at the drive through who can’t understand English getting orders messed up. I was so angry but not knowing what to do at the time I left burning up.
Rejection is Protection!!! Just look at it that way, no matter the pay.

This is starting to happen in North Carolina and also with the grocery stores. I'm kinda divided on this topic because from what my eyes see is the young men don't t dress accordingly to what the job regulations require. Some of them have very bad attitudes and won't even say a word to you. Pants be hanging down, hair look a mess, and some of them just don't look clean looking, like they just rolled out of bed. They just need training and need to watch some more videos on appearances. We'll if companies stop hiring them, they will start robbing these same companies that won't hire them.

I'm from Oakland ca. That's how all the fast food restaurants are anti black in hiring. Burger King, McDonald's, jack n the box, taco bell all have Mexicans working there , in the past 7 years, I only saw 1 black person actually working there. They are still discriminating in they're own little way
Maybe black Americans should stop eating at these fast-food restaurants. If possible start cooking at home. BA are only 6% of the population in California. That's not very many, so don't know how much of an impact they would have there.

I've had this happen to me many years ago in California at a McDonald's and several businesses. I think Kroger in San Diego. The only job that I could get was at the mall and that was about 15 years ago. I moved away from California due to the racism and liberalism. I couldn't stand it
I live in the Bay Area with family in Richmond. Based on this video alone, I don't see racism. Many young black people in the Bay aren't looking to work at McDonald's. It's common to find Hispanic workers with limited English at fast food places where the hiring manager isn't present. While sometimes Hispanics might hire their own, generally, black folks aren't seeking fast food jobs. When they do, they often provide poor service and get fired. You can get mad but thats the perception of a lot of blacks from CA.

In 1988. I encountered a similar situation.
This was my wakeup call in the early 2000s.. Engineering student with clean record. Couldn't get a fast food job even if my life depended in it. It was very humbling understanding that the go flip burgers didn't apply to me. Luckily, it put me in course to be a business man because i refuse to work for this sub people.
The Hispanics are just as bad. No love for them over here.

I remember being in a bar in Toronto near Yonge and Dundas. A young black man came in and filled out an application and left, ten minutes later a beautiful young brunette came in and they hired her on the spot. I felt bad for the kid.
