Winter has finally arrived on the West Coast and I got two powder days in this weekend, going back out Weds/Thurs it's puking on the hill. I've never surfed but I have no doubt snow stoke and surf stoke are one and the same, you take what Mother Nature gives you and when it gives like today there is no better feeling. Great session ladies happy new year.
Caught this place all by myself with perfect conditions. Saw some of the Rocky Point surfers gathering on the beach and watching. The amazing part is they waited until I was done before they paddled out and ripped the place. Respect.
@@maattttt07 2-3 ft ehukai is noticeably more powerful than 2-3 ft waikiki. Maybe not as powerful as 2-3 ft waimea bay shorebreak. But still, there is a difference. As a young kid I remember being out at ehukai and being kinda scared even though it wasnt bigger than 4 feet. Riders in the clip are going faster then they would if the waves were the same size at a different spot. Waves at off the wall, pipe, ehukai have more energy & power than avg.

Yep, all Handheld no tripod, I keep telling myself I'm going to use a gimbal but always end up leaving it at home. That's 24mm lens up close and 100mm when filming the surfing from shore 🤙🏾
Full disclosure first: I know NOTHING about surfing. I have a question. When I see Surfers riding that wave down at high speed, I also see lots of people swimming OUT. Do the surfers ever collide with them? Seems like a decapitation waiting to happen.
Sometimes it can happen, the surfers do their best to avoid the other surfers paddling out to the lineup. It’s not always easy for the once paddling out, and the one surfing to avoid an impact, but both the surfer, and the one paddling out have to do their best to to avoid each other.
5'4 Hough, your not tall but in my opinion and I know you don't care for it , BUT, that board is to light and whippy and looks hard to feel solid and secure on the turns. Small small boards are getting out of control. Just like the small wheels did for skateboard in the 1990's. Started to compromise people's real talent. You don't want to do that do you. Ride a 6'0 , seriously just for me and you will be lighting up people's faces like , who the hell is that!!!! Oh , it's ....... The hot washing coconut.
Come on dudes, nobody wants to see you ride a wave. Get out of the way when the stoked are going for the same wave. A guy riding a wave is worth 10% of the righteousness but when a stoked bikini clad is tracking it is worth 10X more... to me. I am not saying you shouldn't be there, just have a heart.
