If you aren't working 10 hours a day, I can tell you, you aren't doing enough... Data analysis is one of the most difficult and rigorous jobs out there. Good Luck!

Hi Wale, I know this is not related to the video but I need a little help if you can see this. I enrolled for the Google Analytics Certificate and applied for the financial aid. I got approved for the financial aid about a four days ago and finished the first course yesterday. Today I finished the first week on the second course but I’m not allowed to take the weekly challenge as it says I need to upgrade even though my financial aid got approved. Please do you have any idea why it comes out that way?

Most data analysts use excel power BI and SQL as said above (also python and using pandas is often desired) but there are roles that need special tools. For example I have a tool that I use called Alteryx that helps prep/cleanse/validate/automate big data. I also use it to make maps to locate stores to build and to look at the demographics of an area which is pretty cool!☺️☺️

they are almost the same. the only difference is that business analyst deals more on on the business side and a little less on the data aspect while data analyst works more on the data side and not so much on the business side.
Hi chioma, I’m a data scientist and my experience is that I was able to demonstrate to my employer that I was interested in learning data analytics. What landed me the role wasn’t necessarily my grades or qualifications (although some places will have a minimum requirement) I was making projects on my own on things I was interested in. My projects were majorly based around mathematics, statistics and data naturally so that definitely helped. Being curious and showing that you are willing to learn is a great way to start in my experience. Wale may have a different opinion though ☺️

Hey Kanmi, age doesn't affect your chances of starting a career in DA or in tech as a whole. But as with most professions, as you age, the expectation is that you have built a wide range of experience to be able to contribute on a more senior level. Absence of which might make it difficult for an older person to compete with the much younger folks out there.
Started the google certificate course but stopped. This gave me motivation to start it again. I appreciate that. My only concern is will I be able to make a living in the 2nd most expensive city in the world.

Number 1 in my opinion. From my experience as a data scientist companies are wanting to utilise their data to accurately cater their services to their customers. Data scientists are in demand as often companies with large amounts of data do not know where to start when trying to find insights in their data and in the end they don’t bother diving into it unfortunately ☺️
