I wish the Watch 6 Classic had all of the software and battery life off the Watch 5 Pro. I enjoyed the Watch 5 Pro, but i like the look and rotating bezel of the Watch 6 more. I dislike having to charge my watch daily. I have the LTE model. I like having the ability to leave my phone behind and not miss a thing.

Watch5 pro owner here. Also a woman. Appreciate the review But honestly when I hear people complain about watch bands, not the way it attaches but the actual watch band and that being a reason for them not buying or switching watches reminds me of someone who won't buy a house because they don't like the paint color of the bathrooms. 🤔
I think the watch strap situation is a tricky one. Some people don't want to have to invest more on a strap after they've spent a lot of money on the device, which I understand.
I reviewed the ticwatch and it's strap was cheap and nasty which kind of soured the experience for me a little.
You can find very inexpensive straps. Do they last, and are they comfortable?

What a great review! You really helped me decide on the GW6 classic. I've been wearing a GW classic from 2018 and it's still ticking but would love to wear a more updated version of a fantastic watch!

I have an OG Galaxy Watch 46mm (rotating bezel) and a Watch 4 Classic (rotating bezel)... Big fan of the rotating bezel... But I hope they continue the Pro series. The only reason I don't have the 5 Pro is that I'm hoping they come out with a Watch 7 Pro this go-round. IMO you need both. I need the classic for flexing on the haters, and the Pro for my rugged days and outdoor adventures. As far as the battery, I think that Wear OS is the culprit there. Tizen was much better in this department IMO. When I had the Moto360, I'd be happy to make it through the day, same for the Fossil watch, and I don't recall others back then being much better. Lastly, I hope the new rule is to leapfrog years when it comes to the Classic and the Pro. I feel it's better for the consumer and Samsung. It'll build the hype, while we get to hold on to our devices a bit longer, saving us money and giving them time for real improvements on each iteration.
Nice review mate! I have the 5 pro and like you said it's a great watch and I was offered the 6 with my Fold 5 but choose to stay with 5's.. lol. Happy as with them both n it's nice to see a great review with the 6.. thanks! 😊

@techwithbenefits Yeah nice idea.. I don't think the resale value is much on these neither.. I sold my 4 classic and my 5 for about 120 each.. with charger.. you'd think they'd be a fair bit more.. and as said I love the 5 pro I'm happy to stick with it till I find something else I like..

I just upgraded from the Watch 5 44mm to the Watch 6 Classic 47mm Silver. With trade in and student discount, it came up to £155! So it was a no brainer.

How does it perform on non Samsung phones, do you know that by any chance, and how is it in regular life?

I just got a watch 6 classic a few days ago, upgrading from a Watch 4 classic and I am extremely impressed. From the larger clearer display to the AWESOME battery life (averaging about 3 days per charge) Unfortunately I also upgraded from a S22U to a Pixel 8 Pro so there are some features of the watch that i can't use because i don't have a Samsung phone anymore. Overall though I really love this watch.
But monitoring such as sleep and GPS are not accurate
Blood pressure is also incorrect. i tested it out with my doctor.. @@user-ji2yk7wu4n
pixel 8 is a nice phone, I'm just a die hard Samsung fan. plus I love their security with knox
@@blueceligts180 nah Samsung are slow asf because of all that bloatware they installed. I'm a long time Samsung user and recently switched to pixel 7, damn the experience is really different everything is buttery smooth

Enjoying my regular Watch 6. A bit lighter. Activate Developer Options and turn off animations will improve the battery life and performance.
Please review the Amazfit balance. Would love to see an LTE version of *that* on the market....

I'm new to smart watches got classic 6 47mm going on 3 weeks this watch is amazing 😎 I purchased stainless color cause it looks very premium it's nice put my phone down especially when I'm at work my watch does so many things I do like the health app it's tracks everything I do it great watch 😊

I used for 3 months. Watch 6 classic is so good. I like so much. We wait some updates only (for body temperature).❤ Watch 6 is best of the best. I use so many watch and also i know Samsung watch 6 is nearest a phone. 5 and 4 too. Thank you.

@techwithbenefits I literally just got off Samsung chat support. They said band on 5 will work on 6. I can make the trade and only send watch face back. Keeping my 5 band to put on 6
This what I don't understand I myself have GW 5 44mm and it's does the same thing like the GW 6 47mm classic does but it's doesn't have the bezzle on it but iam going to buy the GW 6 classic 47mm and want to try it out also they have the GW 7 and GW 7 Pro coming out August 2024 it's more battery life and some of the same Specs like the GW 6 classic does I just wish it's was a more bigger face too it maybe a 50mm would be nice but it's the same 47mm on the GW 7 and 7 PRO

why does it take so long to wake up when you raise your wrist? im used to apple watches but i have been thinking on switching to s24 ultra and this watch. Is there a way to make it faster wake up?

What size mm is it? Perhaps if the next Galaxy watch 7 will be offered in a larger size I might just buy it. I'd like to see a 52, 46 and a 42 mm option.
This is definitely the largest size they've made at 47mm

Q: Have you had, or heard of anyone else, having overheating issues while working out?? I bought the Watch 4 Classic LTE so I could leave my Fold in the car (or at home) while riding and exercising. But anywhere between 7-12 minutes into the ride the watch shuts down to a safe mode due to overheating. That's listening to Spotify via blutooth while tracking my ride, nothing else going on.
I've been holding out on getting a new Galaxy watch for a while now as I am worried the issue hasn't been fully resolved. Defeats the purpose of spending more for the LTE if I have to keep my phone on me anyway, in case of emergency.
Yep, I have the same issue and upgrade to Watch5 Pro. It is much better and rarely overheated. Only the downside is physical bezel.

1)What is your opinion about the GPS accuracy while running on track and in other exercises like bicycling etc.?
2) Also, heart rate accuracy.
if you're mostly focused on those details, i'd recommend the video by TheQuantifiedScientist on the Samsung smart watch 6 classic. But if you just want to skip all that, I'd recommend the superior watch (in this specific case) the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro.

watched his video a bit earlier. I wonder why samsung is less accurate??? 🤔 I think it has less sensors than apple or different type. I remember reading about it years ago but can't recall. Anyways, I hope samsung improves the accuracy of the health tracking
1 year. there was a rotating bezel on the 4. thats means for that year until the 5 came out. there was the option. it was 1 year without the option on the 5. not 2
The samsung galaxy 5 pro is the best it has laud sound to alarm . It has google assistant laud and when you lose your way in the mountain it talking to you to find your way. But the 6 clasic does it has the same ??????
I miss details about accuracy. It's great a watch gives you all of these options. But do they actually work?
the features are not as accurate as other phones unfortunately. hopefully Samsung will improve in this area. unsure if it is a physical issue either hardware used or a software issue with tracking 🤷🏽♂️.
@blueceligts180 thank you for replying. That's so unfortunate as I considered buying this watch. But I really need an accurate heartrate sensor. I tried a huawei watch which is considered to have a very accurate hr sensor but that turned out to be off quite a bit as well.
Dont know how you get 2 days, I go for a 1 hour walk, and can get stretch to 1.5 days if I did but dont let it get below 20% as it damages the battery so charge each night regardless of power left in battery
For me I have the watch 4 and watch 3 and o love my watch 4 way more than my old apple watch

I'll need to get another smart watch sooner than later. I just got the S24 Ultra and Samsung has ended support for the Gear S3 on 2024 devices and beyond. So I'm still using it with my S22 Plus.
Once I get a few phone in two more years, I'll need to get a new watch at that time for sure.
I'm not an Apple person. I don't and may never buy and use an iPhone. But I'll have to say I really like the Apple Watch Ultra/Ultra 2 quite a bit more than a round watch. If only the Apple watch could run using a Samsung phone and install android apps. You can make it work in a round about way, but requires getting some sort of iPhone.
Does anyone know if this watch will work with straight talk service?
Without a doubt the apple watch is the ONLY thing I miss about apple. Not imessage, not the ecosystem; but the apple watch. Fast. Worked. Sleek. Somehow samsung needs to have that wow factor with their watches. They just did it with their S9 series tablets. Just need to do that with their watches. Also miss the 22mm watchbands.

@@blueceligts180 Galaxy watch just seems too busy. Even with the new technology, the galaxy watches are NEVER as fast or slick as the Apple watch. The UI is honestly terrible. They need to fix it and "dumb it down". There shouldn't be any delay. Also the wrist wake option is delayed.
@AndrewD50297045 so not really a wow factor but more of a user interface factor. not sure why but it could be the animations, the gpu isn't sufficient, the way the os optimizes things, too much software, software demands more power than supplied 🤷🏽♂️. but I get you. I just ordered the W6 classic for me and my wife so ill see if I can see what you mean. granted I'm coming from the samsung gear s3 lmho rofl
@@blueceligts180 Just a blurb. Heck yeah it's need a wow factor as well. Make them come in an 18k gold. Massive version for those of us that like bigger watches. Get rid of that stupid 20mm band they went to. Bigger watch means bigger battery too.
@AndrewD50297045 lol 18k gold would jump the price up a lot. I've heard someone else complain about the 20mm size band as well. having 3 sizes would be cool. small for petit wrist, medium for average wrist, and large for big wrist. I wish they could create a watch with at least a week of battery for average use. less charging would be great!

I charge it every day for about 20-30mins while I shower. That way I always keep it between 20 and 80%, which is healthy for battery longevity.
Then why is Xiaomi, Huawei, Amazefit have 15 days or more battery life?

Thank you. My take away from this is that if Samsung were to release a Watch 7 Pro Classic with the rotating bezel, lightweight titanium frame and long battery life, they would hit a home run.
AND, get it thinner. Everytime I get myself to think I want one, I see one on someone's wrist, and it makes me of a little kid wearing a grown-ups watch. It's so thick that I feel ill bang it on everything...
Everyone keeps saying their watch last at least for a day and some change. Mine just last 7 hours.(and that's with power save on) And I've had it now for about 2 OR 3 weeks now. Is there a trick or something? Because my watch is ass 😢
even though I don't use any health-related apps, I have exactly the same issue. sent it to warranty and it didn't help. What a way to waste $550

I have continues heart rate on. Stress tracking. Sleep tracking with temperature. I use GPS everyday on my walk with my wife and Dog 45 minutes and I'm getting 2 days on a charge. I love this watch.
I just got the Galaxy 6 Classic, 43mm. I could not get the software to load, it just kept saying network error. I tried over and over for hours, rebooting, resetting, etc. Nothing worked. The BT pairing was happening, but in the download part after that was where it was failing. I contacted Samsung, and did their automated help procedure, trying 5 different things, none helped. I tried to contact tech support, it took over 6 hours to get someone to help. The guy wouldn't help me get it working at all, and wanted me to drive it down to a service center. After reading the Yelp reviews on the service center, a tiny little office filled with people each waiting their turn for hours - I decided that wasn't for me. I returned the watch. A $400 watch that can't even tell the time, and Samsung seemed to care less.

None at all! It's performed really well from the start

The square design doesn't look like someone is wearing a computer it reminds me of the Casio calculator watch or a video game watch from the 90's.

Got my Watch 5 Pro at launch, to date, probably less than 2 years, had a mileage of less than 10 trips to indoor swimming. Never dropped or abuse my watch. But a watch touted at Sports Watch cannot pass the life span of 2years just dipping into a indoor pool. And guess what? Samsung shoved the" Out Of Warranty" into my throat and expect me suck it up. A sports watch that can only last less than 2 years is a joke!
I own watch 6 40mm.. battery life is very bad... 100% 7am and as of 9pm battery is is now 8&

Nah, it's been the same as tempered for awhile now nothing more than a brand name now adays
The pedometer is measured at 1 meter per footstep and that is incorrect, the blood pressure measurement is also incorrect (tested by the doctor) and the sleep measurement is also incorrect (tested with multiply devices). And the battery is staggeringly bad. GPS is inaccurate as well. 2 GB Ram memory makes the watch laggy. I now have the Huawei watch 4 Pro and it is a beast compared to this Samsung watch. And before people are writing your a trol or whatever i have had the 4 classic, 5 pro, the 6 and the 6 classic..
Can you use it with US carriers?

This is the Samsung Watch Pro just with a bezel..
Hmm not quite. The materials are different. 5 pro uses titanium and is also thicker. Smaller display as well. The classic is more design focused with a bigger display and thinner profile. The rotating bezel drastically changes the way you interact with it too
Have you heard any body else having problems with the bands..?
Had the 47mm.......took it back and switched for a 43.
What bugs me though....the accessories for the Android/Samsung devices are of such poor quality, mediocre also compared to the other brand, BUT! I guess Samsung has no control over the quality of the products designed for their electronic devices. Shame!

I just bought the Watch6 Classic. It wouldn't pair with my phone, after 4 hours Samsung tech Support said yes we are having serious issues with pairing and the 'wearable' software. I'm sending it back.
My Watch Galaxy 6 Clasic's battery dies in 8 hours, even with basic apps. Useless! Samsung support offered zero help. What a rip-off!
So weird. I've had mine for 6 months and I get 2 days on a charge.

To bad health stuff isn't accurate, if you watch the scientific review of this watch it turns out it's not accurate with anything. Heart rate, sleeping and a bunch of other stuff it fails miserably. Good at telling time though😂

Really? I used to run quite a lot before sickness struck my wife during our second pregnancy. Put on a little weight that I'm working at losing through.. you guessed it... running.
