    The David Hurley murder is another reminder of a good piece of advice that a 20 year police veteran friend of mine once told me. He said never be out on the streets between the hours of 12-4am unless absolutely necessary. Because something like 70-80% of all violent crimes happen during this 4 hr window. It doesn’t matter how safe or dangerous the neighborhood might be.

    The story of the Native children taken from their home is so heartbreaking. The government's excuse was bcus of poverty?? This is a CRIME! They stole those children! How is what they did to these children better than whatever they thought may have been going on in the home. The children clearly were loved and had love. Being tossed around to numerous foster homes is a nightmare for any child. Stability and consistency is so important in a child’s life. They need security, to know they are loved and wanted. What they did to those poor kids is criminal and child abuse in itself!

Also I did read that police have someone in custody who they think killed David but they lack sufficient evidence to charge him. This case bothers me every day thinking of how we just passed the 30 year anniversary and how this guy can still be out there, having eluded justice for that long. Even if alive today he would be around his mid to late 50s, not too old. I have a hard time believing the killer is dead.

    I'm betting Ben Stahl's paintings were split up and sold to churches who bought them for decoration not realizing they were stolen. Anyone attending church who saw any of them there wouldn't think anything about it or question their origins, none of them would look out of place in a church sanctuary as they often have such portraits up. Especially if they were not kept together.

    I have an interesting take on history with regards to the Legend of Juan Diego/Our Lady of Guadalupe. How do you get a bunch of native people to convert their religion? Work with a local to establish a legend which will draw them to Catholicism. Why? For the glory of Spain? Mexico was already robbed, pillaged, and forced to learn Spanish. Why not finish the convergence by selling them on Catholicism too?

  • @davidross5593
    @davidross5593 3 года назад +7

    I call blasphemy because the real "virgin" Mary didn't appear to Juan. The real "virgin" Mary who eventually had children after Jesus, would not put herself on a pedestal for herself to be worshipped when she knew Jesus was the Son of God and even died for her.
    Look at the way humble Mary was told she would give birth to Jesus. She wanted to know why her.
    Juan also asked why him. But the difference between Gabriel telling Mary and Mary telling Juan is Gabriel sinless and angels are the messengers of God. Not a human who was a sinner.
    And Mary was a sinner. Albeit God chose her to be full of grace as the Bible says. That doesn't make her sinless nor eventually have the authority to tell people to build churches to worship her. Moreover Mary didn't die for us. Jesus did. Thus only Jesus is worthy or worship and praise.

    By default, witness testimony isn't 100% reliable. Police know this. Tom wasn't seen at the motorcycle store the day after.
    So you back up to the day of his disappearance. Unread newspaper, unlocked front door, battery on the counter and the answering machine turned off. His day was planned to go a certain way and it didn't.
    So then you examine people he knows. Relationship, family, friends, coworker, acquaintances. I think it's safe to rule out his girlfriend or family. Ditto coworker. There's no evidence to support any motive there.
    The sighting of Tom on the morning of his disappearance with an unknown male and then later the letter does nothing to deter the friend, acquaintance notion and without more to go on, it's the hardest route to piece together.
    Sad there was never any justice in this case and probably never will be.
