Longer answer: 1) Looking at the chart I noticed Tom is a Ren water day master born in the month of fire rabbit and therefore it is considered to be a "weak" chart, meaning that it only favors itself (water) and resource (metal). 2) If Ren water + ding fire = wood (output) then I wouldn't consider that favorable. 3) However, I noticed there's metal in some of the decades. Metal controls wood, so he probably wouldn't get affected by the transformation during those specific periods. 4) other issues that are not clear to me (a bit off topic) are: The destruction combo forms between horse and rabbit (both peach blossom). Rabbit is also a noble people star for him. Not sure how that would affect him in a bad way since "noble people" star is supposed to be beneficial.

You are referring to to external elements. They don't combine and transform.
