Thanks for the review. Gather 'Round Homeschool has us writing stories for the first time and my grade 1 daughter loves to write and create. I think she would LOVE these books!

Its interesting because Mac doesnt like gather rounds story writing but thrives with this.

How old was Mac for these 2 books? I feel my daughter may benefit from stepping back to the a book.

Hamish started using them about 2 1/2 years ago. Mac used just the Building writers at about the same time.

Are you using just the workbooks or do you have the teachers guide as well? Wondering how much extra it adds to be worth the additional cost.

I have never bought the workbooks.
