Hello Joan, I discovered Moev at a local record store here in Peoria, IL back around 2009 or so (I found the 'Yeah Whatever' album on vinyl and love the song 'The Sentencing' ...one of their darker songs you could say).
See Saturn locked in rings Bound with broken wings To dance infinite circles See love a tearful man Doing what he can He feeds He feeds his life A purpose Tune in, tune out Turn everything around Don't let your head get down Don't let your head... Get down See seasons come and go Peaks from oceans growing (unintelligible) It's only natural To be sexual To feel uncertain longings Tune in, tune out Turn everything around Don't let your head get down Don't let your head... Get down
First heard this track on the Burton Snowboards “Scream of Consciousness” video. I think at least half of the soundtrack was Nettwerk artists. Sarah McLachlan, etc. Worth checking out - tracks like this were so rad over snowboarding footage of the day!
Hearing these guys for the first time. Definitely into it. Gonna check out the full album. Saw a minor band connection to Econoline Crush and that's what brought me here.
The first success that eventually became nettwerkrecords empire. The unusual recording industry of outstanding ..but slightly odd. Recording uber talenttly odd p
@@drillywilly Hey Tom, as an avid MOEV fan, owning your first three records on vinyl, I gotta say its a shame that you guys aren't more known. It would be a real treat for your fans if you have any old school footage of you guys playing live, or even newer footage. All the best from NYC
Another cool thing she did with a fellow Canadian artist was play guitar in the video of the Wild Strawberries’ “I Don’t Want To Think About It,” though she apparently didn’t play on the actual song.
@mikhailgoluboy Xymox and Cocteau Twins had way more success than Moev did. Certainly Cocteau Twins twins. Xymox always did well in Scandinavia. Moev did't even make a dent in the Canadian scene even with CanCon backing it.
Nettwerk label was like Wax Trax and 4AD....when you saw a record from one of those labels, you knew it was going to be good.
One of my most favourite albums... At that time only a good record store had this kind of music...
'Head Down' album. A classic and underrated in my opinion. Why aren't more people talking about Moev?
Because some people don't know what great music is.
Because they're busy talking about and listening to Nickelback and other completely terrible and crappy bands. 😒
I prefer Head Down by Soundgarden.
@@anonymoususer2756 That is one of my fav Soundgarden songs actually (cool to hear someone else mention it!!).

Scream of Consciousness 🏂
Dammit Faith & the Muse why couldn’t you sound like this band? It truly was a better world when Strange Boutique and Moev co existed.

this a song about seasonal-affective disorder
You know Moev, I think the copy you borrowed from me back when I had a Myspace account, is better quality than this one. Let me know if you want it.
Way ahead of its time!!!!Singer is hot
Does anybody know the correct lyrics for this song? I can't hear the word at 2:06 and that whole phrase is missing in all the online lyrics sites.
