Any other era and they would be one of the best selling bands of all time. Unfortunately for them they came out around the same time as bands like The Smiths, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Whitesnake etc etc and pretty much got lost in the shuffle.

no lie. we’d be in a club “back in the day” that’s jamming typical 80s dance music in the 80s and this would come on and everyone crammed the dance floor. The DJs probably spun it a little faster, but you wouldn’t think this would be a club song. Would you?

Lil Devil - has a short and very quick guitar lick as it's basic hook. Over and over. Where as - Rain - has a long, slower and more sustained hook as its base sound. Do you get it now?

The dancers are the Anadin Bros, two female, former synchronized swimmers. I believe they were discovered by Siouxie of Siouxie and the Banshees.

Finally saw them live June 2 2019 at Casino Rama. Ian hit every song. I'm 55. I waited way too long to see them live.
First saw them as The Southern Death Cult in the early 80s in a pub in Burnley,they were pretty good back then as well.

I imagined the backup dancers would look like my mom. She was exotic looking with long dark hair to her waist, almond eyes with smokey eyeshadow 80's style, hourglass figure and wearing strappy cocktail dresses from that time.
These backup dancers would've been perfect for the Sonny & Cher Show in the 70's. I remember illustrations of women from that era that resemble these dancers. ❤
