I have a 3 fund portfolio but I have finally decided to invest in ETFs, alongside. I’m looking at SCHD, VOO, XLK or SCHG
Great picks! Sounds like you are crushing it! I just surpassed 500K. Biggest positions VOO, VTI, SCHD, VYM, and now looking to build up DRGO alongside my single stocks. I got ~$14900 divs last year in taxable divs. Q2 taxable divs this year was ~$8k
Thank you! Actually would it be silly to have both SCHD and VOO?
Not necessarily though there is a fair amount of overlap but that’s not necessarily a negative. Either approach is fine over the long term. Most important thing is to get started and build your income over time to continue investing more as time goes on.
I lost a lot chasing individual stocks and I feel pretty stupid for not understanding how investing works. I have a double major in economics but I’ve been trying to make sense of the market. Well done on profits!
Almost at 2,500 shares of SCHD. For the first time I’m about to use some of my dividend income for a trip to Hawaii.
I Hit 110k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started last month 2024. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. thanks to Brooke Miller for helping me achieve this
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families I'm United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $5500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Brooke Miller, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
she's mostly on Instagrams, using the user name
Mutual funds or Index funds which is a better buy right now? just got my lump sum inheritance and would love to put my money to work, so i can earn in dividends, i'm also looking at paying mortgage where rates are not so high.
Index funds are more valuable than Mutual funds as of now, though a few people perceive it to be as a result of the pending correction.
I’m currently working towards financial freedom with a focus on dividends & growth investing. Since 2014, I’ve built a portfolio made up of 30% Mutual funds , 25% Index funds, 15% STP and over 30% in digital assets, thanks to my CFA. This strategy has helped me earn $49,000 a year in dividends. Back in 2014, I only earned $21 in dividends.
Oh I've heard similar things about hiring an advisor. It's hard to choose one that's very good though. Could you make some useful recommendations?
I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Melissa Elise Robinson and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up immediately. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her.
Paul dropped the ball on the etf's. Lower expense ratio SPLG (sp 500), qqqM or SCHG, and yes SCHD. These are the three in your three fund portfolio
Thanks for the comment .AP
I'm schg, Splg, soxq!
It's been dumping and pumping in this range for ages! It's technically just going sideways, sideways means generally stagnant. More emphasis should be put into day trading, as it less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market. Trading has been going smooth for me as I managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Sandy Barclays, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
She mostly interacts on Telegrams, using the user-name.
@SandyBarclays .
Indeed, the recent market downturn serves as evidence that a vast majority of individuals lacked a sufficient understanding of the underlying financial dynamics at play.
Sandy gave me the autonomy I need to learn at my own pace and ask questions when I need to she’s so accommodating.
Over the years, I've been a part of numerous trading programs, sifting through a barrage of information. Yet, nothing has come close to the sheer clarity, depth, and precision of Sandy insights. It's akin to finding a diamond in a coal mine.
Professor PG !!! Thank you for your research and presentation. Great video as always !!! 👍 👍👍👍
New to your channel. Ironically, I just started positions in 2 of the 3 of these ETFs (VOO and SCHD) last month in my long term retirement account. I got out of a handful of individual stocks (now in cash/4.5% return). Now I am trying to rebalance my portfolio into these ETFs and let the dividends reinvest and the interest to compound over the next 25 years. I am also dollar cost averaging over the next 10 months. I'd love to hear more on your timing, and strategy when it comes dollar cost averaging, I've been so hesitant to go lump sum due to the current overvalue. This video was extremely helpful and also reassuring to know that my strategy is not out of whack. Some days, I am tempted to go all in but I have to remain disciplined and stick to my plan. Thanks Paul.
Congrats !! Hope you do great with your investments .AP
Can you do episode on Cad ETF's as well, we should use our tax saving accounts to use its max to invest in cad ETf as well. Great videos, loved it
Forget about Canadian ETFs - why would you when the return on US ETFs are much better.
Thanks, been watching your channel for a while. If you ever have an opinion on EFT SPMO would love to here about it...
I'll check it out.AP
Ok. You enlighted me to think in a kind of strategy for ETF. Not DCA. Ti old for that. But, you did open up my mind. Thanks for that. All great channel by the way.
Plenty of resources that demonstrate ETFs are a winning bet - GC
Can you do an episode on SPLG and QQQM?
Tx for the suggestion - GC
Don't forget about JEPQ for your strategy.
Paul: Qqqm will be better then Qqq as it has less expense ratio and have same setup of stock(mini version)
Good stuff - GC
Paul ive been following and using ur advice for years. Just cried laughing when i heard you on the hbo documentary money electric hahaha
That is awesome!AP
I ratger QQQM or SCHG instead of QQQ. Less expense ratio.
With a portfolio of his size, QQQ will make the most sense so he can trade options. The premiums are much more favorable for QQQ. I do agree that the two tickers that you mentioned are great replacement for the average investor though.
I have nothing bad to say about SPY but I prefer VOO. I’ve been buying it for about 3 years now.
Same here .AP
what do you thing about RSP ? ty for all your on going content ...or QQEW
I’ve recently been DCAing into RSP instead of VOO
Join our community - GC
Great video...even warren buffet who's one of the world's greatest investor own both SPY n VOO ETF so we shall all own it too as a core investment...
True that - GC
VOO and VGT have lower expense rate, and VGT had better returns than QQQ
schd spy and qqq, noted with thanks ur sharing
Cool - GC
MGK from Vanguard is also an alternate option for low cost version of QQQ.
Interesting thanks for sharing , how do they compare to each other .AP
also what about QQQM it has a slightly lower expense ratio but same companies
same ETF ,
Good stuff - GC
Paul said he's rich and we aren't. lol so he good.
Everything money is a value investing channel, so why are we only talking about US-listed companies?
There's much more value to be found in developing markets.
Join our community and you'll see plenty of other markets.... gracias - GC
I’m a little skeptical, I trust that the funds are great however they are way overpriced right now because the stocks that they’re invested in are an all-time high. You might get a lift in the next 2 to 3 months but then when it crashes that might be the best time to invest
You just DCA month in and month out for many many years until you decide to retire. You buy the top, the middle and the bottom....this strategy is for your retirement - GC
Please cover Tidewater
Noted thanks .AP
what's the difference between voo and spy aren't they the same
Same
Yeah....fees are slightly different if you really want to be picky - GC
What's the difference between VOO & SPY?
They are the same mostly....small difference in fees and dividends. . - GC
SCHD; SPY; QQQ 👍
Thanks ! AP
Thats a very American portfolio. I understand the US is strong but to me its putting ALL your eggs in one basket.
Personally i like a broader more diversified base. I went for VEVE the vanguard developed world index.
Thats not bad also .AP
Sure let’s buy all these at all time high
Lol then wait for September 2025 buddy. Thank me later
Paul never said that .AP
Can not have them with my uk platform 😢 how can I invest them from uk?
Check Vanguard UK....you can buy equivalents of SPY, VOO and so forth...and you can do it via an ISA (tax advantage account) - GC
@@EverythingMoney what do u think abut S&P 500 (dist) vusa?
@@Joshvinboy2 yeap....VUSA is the SPY equivalent, if you want SPY make sense to go with VUSA - GC
VUAG is basically the uk version of VOO.
What about vti?
VTI is 82% VOO. So, either of them will work but not both.
what about QQQM instead of QQQ?
Have you compared them before ? AP
@@EverythingMoney yes return is very much same.QQQM have less expense ratio
"Title :The 3 ETFs I will NEVER Sell!"
Disclaimer @ 11:23 - " Full discloser, I do not own any of these ETF's yet"
Paul strikes again... You would think you have to own something to sell it?
Ivv voo lower ETF fees
Thanks for sharing .AP
1000 apartments is hugest lie 😂😂😂😂😂 you missed out on the bull Market 😤
😂
QQQM is better
How so ? AP
cheaper
Are you sure you don’t own SPY yet?
One love - GC
