Thank you 😊 Yeah the shocks would be purely cosmetic, I have a few sets of the shocks in stock. The current spring , damper, oil and height is spot on so no need to change it at this stage. The Wing makes the car
Love the video - I ordered a number of upgrades for my Super Avante from a well known hobby store in Hk but sadly never arrived 3 months later. Keep up great work
Could be still in the mail. Took me ages to get my last order from HK due to suspension of air mail. I was lucky I picked all these up from someone in Aus who was selling them.
Excellent vid mate. I kinda like the design of the td4 and td2 but the stupid mechanism in order to change the battery is holding me back. What are your thoughts on this, will this work over time as a runner? Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 😀
The battery changing isn’t that bad. Doesn’t take long at all.. I’m yet to build my TD2 but definitely the Battery placement in the TD2 is better or more convenient
Definitely liking the rear wing you’ve added looks good. I recently but the sway bar set on mine and the rear suspension hinge pin mount and found it made a big difference on the race track . Nice vid Adam
Hi Adam, great video! Just curious, why did you go with the Hobbywing Brushless motor instead of the Tamiya Brushless? Did the Hobbywing drop in without any modifications? Thanks for your time!
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Looks like the HW 3650 4300kv 9T is discontinued but I found a new one on eBay snd grabbed it. It’s a sensorless motor so can you recommend an ESC? I’m pretty sure your 35amp HW has be discontinued as well, but maybe HW offers something similar to fit inside the car that will work with this motor. Thanks again for your help!
I purchased mine as a Combo. The motor definitely fits just need to tuck the wires a little but it works perfectly in the car. As for an esc just ensure you get one that can run sensor-less.
Definitely seems a lot punchier and faster. I like the rear wing, the stock one was kind of odd but to me the whole car is but the addition of the older wing style really helped!
The blue wing and the bling definitely look nice , I find that every time I put a brushless motor in a Tamiya buggy it feels like it’s overpowering unless you’re in a wide open space . You looked like you had a lot of throttle and speed left .
Yes! You need a a lot of space with brushless. Yeah I wasn’t full throttle! It’s definitely a buggy that needs brushless once you change to the slipper
What is the part number for the sway bar upgrade? I ordered the other upgrades you mentioned in your build video. I also have a Castle Copperhead 3800 brushless sensored esc combo put behind the counter for me. Thanks for sharing.
Another upgrade you might consider doing, as it should increase handling and performance even more, would be to replace the ball diffs with the gear diffs.
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA If you're running them on dirt, and similar surfaces, that's possibly true. As I'm intending to run it primarily on an indoor off-road carpet track, with occasional outdoor use, the gear diffs should be the better choice.
I hope that Tamiya sees what you’ve done. Their version is kinda ugly in comparison. The wing is too small and the rims are off color. You’ve done an excellent job at making this vehicle look like it should.
Yes thats the proper wing to use. I hope you show us the custom body you did for this.
Great intro music in this one 👍
Love the background music.. disco x cocktail bar theme
Thanks 😆
This is exactly how I was going to build mine, other than upgrading the shocks too. Looks great Adam!

That wing looks mint !!
Thanks Rob. I think it really finishes the car
Great video. I love how you painted the wing to match. I'm gonna do the same to mine.
Thank you 😊
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Welcome. What wing is that? I can't find those wheels either. They're hard to find, and I like them.
DF03 wheels that a dyed, and the wing is an Egress race wing.

Adam that looks really nice now! love that rear wing makes a difference. 👍
Yes I think it’s definitely a nice upgrade

Thanks Andy. It’s a nice car with some upgrades. I think the egress wing work well with it
Hi Adam, great video! Just curious, why did you go with the Hobbywing Brushless motor instead of the Tamiya Brushless? Did the Hobbywing drop in without any modifications? Thanks for your time!
I put a Tamiya motor in it and it was terribly slow! I had this HW here and it fits in perfectly and makes the car extremely nice to drive speed wise

@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Adam, does the .48 gear set come with the kit? Or is it a separate part number?
It’s the slipper clutch hop up. Covered if In previous videos
Great video Adam.
Thank you 😊

Yes the Wing definitely makes it look more Avante. Revive RC is working on a modified body set. So hopefully he can rework it to something nicer

My previous video had the sway bar upgrades and details.
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA I watched it. It popped up in my feed. I have my LHS ordering it for me. Thanks
On a separate note, which chassis do you have the most of? Looks like the "DF-01"
Yes the DF01 is a nice Chassis
Super Avante TD4 looking great now Adam 🙌
Thanks Jenny. I think the wing makes it
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA definitely and part Retro 88 look
"blue blinky parts"😁😁😁
Yeah! Cosmetic upgrades on this RC.
Another upgrade you might consider doing, as it should increase handling and performance even more, would be to replace the ball diffs with the gear diffs.
I find my RC’s with ball diffs out perform my kits with gear diffs.
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA If you're running them on dirt, and similar surfaces, that's possibly true. As I'm intending to run it primarily on an indoor off-road carpet track, with occasional outdoor use, the gear diffs should be the better choice.
Nice of Tamiya brought a sh#t ton of brushless motors and esc's and bearing and included them in the kits for a few extra bucks.
Your gunna need a bigger driveway 😂
Yes! I can’t full throttle it! Hehe my local net ball court is closed for resurfacing, and it’s way to wet to hit the park..

Thank you. As for Tamiya I honestly believe they don’t listen to its customers. Their business plan and marketing is completely strange!
