    The Holy Bible speaks on this directly, telling us not to engage in worthless talk instead we should be speaking to one another about how to remain in obedience with God's word while living in such a way that our actions speak louder than our words, though our speech should reflect Christ in all conversations and be informative and uplifting to anybody we have conversations with.

    A good tree can only bear good fruit, and a bad tree bad fruit. You judge a man by the fruit he bears. Lecrae it legit. He loves Jesus. He's just doing something different that the world ain't used to. Everything belongs to God my people. Everything. Not just Christian things. Get out of that religious mindset and set your eyes on Jesus. He music is real send spreads the gospel and truth. If you still feel skeptical on Lecrae so be it. But he is living for God. Just doing it in a way that we're not used to. Jesus was radical, different, talked with sinner, ate with them, etc. Jesus is our example. Let us follow.

      hotrapmix Why are you singling out only those who believe in your god? Wouldn't having all rap that has a positive message be a good thing? I am confused.

    • @hotrapmix
      @hotrapmix 10 лет назад

      RanTyr I promote Jesus music, but also positive music. For example Vaughaligan Walwyn Grace Still Abides album. Has Paul Wall, Scar Face, Mike Jones, and other people who in times past rapped secular and worldly things, but in this album about God and positive things. I just want people to know that the majority of it is gospel, so they know it's that Jesus music, they'll know I have faith in him and not another god. Because these days you can say god, and it doesn't offend anyone until Jesus is mentioned because of the new age movement, and there is a lot of people with the belief that all religions are one in the same, but I want people to know that I believe there is only one way, truth, and life according the bible. Like Von Won, in the Kingz Camp, Faith It Till You Make It album, I'll never take "Jesus Out My Music". I'm a 100 % supporter of Lecrae being a rapper that is Christian, and doing positive songs too. It's his mission, bait, and outreach for lost souls. I do think there needs to be positive songs that aren't preachy though, check out Tre9 Suburbs ft Lil Keke and Big Pokey.

    Why does everyone think that the only thing gospel artists need to rap or sing about is Jesus? Like come on he's talking about real problems in the industry and our communities. But just because he's not talking about Jesus people wanna get mad? Grow up people there's more to life than just hearing about Jesus 24/7 and going to church. We have real issues that need to be exposed and he's doing a good job at doing it.

    If you haven't heard Lecrae before then this might be a little strong, he has such an authority given through Jesus to say these things. Especially in these times people will not understand through cookie cutter terms and I am glad there are artist who are not afraid to say things and keep it real. How is that demonic? If you sit there and judge instead of build the kingdom up that is why we as Christians have a problem. Don't sit and point the finger... BE THE LIGHT!!!!!!!! God bless u.

    i won't lie i like this song,but i don't trust lecrae and that's just me.don't throw a stone at me or condemn me for how i feel towards him.despite me not trusting him,i don't condemn him or hate him.still got love for this brother just like i got love for everybody else.this song had a positive message,but we need more Christ.the disciples and apostles never stopped preaching Christ regardless of what came their way or what they were doing and as followers of Christ we must be exactly the same.if the disciples and apostles never stopped preaching Christ,then why should we be any different?we need to be unashamed of the gospel and push Christ in literally everything because people need to know.its more than just realising who you are and what you can accomplish.we need to know who we are in Christ Jesus,his purpose for our lives and how we can bring glory to his kingdom,amen?

      I don't think you understand Lecrae's strategy. Whenever someone hear's a typical Christian rap song that aren't familiar with Christ, the Bible, Church, etc they don't even really understand whats being said. Lecrae is opening the door for those people. He is making music that can actually RELATE to them; that they can understand. Christ will use gospel and secular to His glory as long as its's positive. His message has not changed; he's merely broadened it. Plus he is saving more souls with his new way. I think it makes complete sense to go about the way that saves more souls, woudn't you.?

    • @phantom2k10
      @phantom2k10 10 лет назад +11

      Brandon Mashack please tell me,how can Christ use music that doesn't glorify his name? if Christ can use secular music to glorify his name,then i might as well go and listen to lil wayne,young jeezy and the rest of them because surely there music and messages can point me in the direction of Christ,right?
      Christ willl use those who are available.he will never use a dead vessel to bring glory to his name and most secular artist are dead vessels who don't even believe in God anyway.bizzle is popular,obviously not as popular as lecrae,but nearly every single song he has put out to date has something to do with Christ.
      i remember on lavosiers old mixtape 'rap terrorist' one of his verses he said 'i'm not the type of rapper to mention God in only one of my songs,this is my daily operation i don't take days off'.nothing gets realer than that and that is exactly how every Christian artist should be.

    • @phantom2k10
      @phantom2k10 10 лет назад +5

      Brandon Mashack i wouldn't go about it that way anyway.i'm unashamed of the gospel and would push Christ in literally everything as a Christian artist,but i would use versatile methods of pushing Christ to my audience.you gotta switch it up to draw people in,but that doesn't mean you should water down the message or take the attention of Christ,but hey that's just me

    • @jeremymitchell5831

      In LeCrae's song Fear, in one of his verses he rapped, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! To all of my haters. For the ones who think I forgot him, and the ones who won't let me say it." How much more of Jesus do you need? He's a rapper, who is a Christian. Don't try to fit him in a box on what you think he can and cannot do. God knows where his heart is.

      phantom2k10 I can for one can speak that Lecraes music has brought me to Christ. I was saved April 18, 2008 . And it was months before this I was exposed to Christianity for the first time going to bible studies not consistant but enough the seeds were planted. My friend who drove me played Lecraes "take me as i am track on our way home and "prayin for you" and when i heard those two songs i searched him up and found out hes a Christian rap artist! I was in shock because ive never heard of a christian rap artist and how he spoke through those songs brought me to search more about Christ, questioning my very existence, questioning whats the difference between Christians and catholics? Take me As i am hit me knowing that I dont need a priest to forgive me of my sins!! I realized i can come to God where I am no matter what situation i was in. Prayin for you hit me when i realized he was talking about himself! coming from a catholic background from the worship music which i thought was cheesy at the time and I was into hip hop R&B so his music has helped me search more into Christ and related to me and still does to this day.

    I've met Legrae and he is a very spiritual Jesus loving man. This song is expressing his feelings about how mad he is about people always talking about the wrong things. He said when you're talking about lust, money, and alcohol your words add up to nothing, because you can't buy freedom with your money, you can only find freedom through Jesus Christ. I'm also tired of people talking about these nasty unnecessary things, so I understand what he is saying.

Lecrae should be played all over the radio stations but the devil refuses to have souls be saved. But we all know one day all knees will bow down and God will come for his people blessed are those who use their talents to glorify God and help the lost generation keep it up Lecrae your hard work will indeed reach the lost!!

    I don't understand some people. They claim that they "don't trust" Lecrae or think he has sold out. Quick question: Those of you who are really Christians, how many times do you say "Jesus" or "Christ" on your job? How many times do you mention Jesus in your everyday conversation? Is EVERY conversation spent trying to bring someone to Christ? The answer is no. However, you live your life in such a way that reflects Christ so that people see Him in you. So how is this any different to what Lecrae is doing? In this song, he talks about how hip hop/rap as music doesn't promote any good values. In Runners, he talks bout being faithful to your spouse, in Welcome to America, he talks about slavery and the effects it still as on black people, the treatment of veterans when they return from war, and the way US businesses exploit workers in other countries but how many despise those same people from migrating here. No mention of Christ in any of these songs, but all of these are Christian issues and guess who spoke on all of these very human issues...JESUS. Stop wasting time attacking this man. He appears to be fulfilling what role God place him here to play. I suggest you stop attacking him and do the same.

    some christians here should get a LIFE,,,, when did triangles symbolised the devil???? so if a teacher draws a triangle on a board he is teaching satanism??? Listen to message and if it goes against Gods will then Satan is in it... but if it brings Glory to God then u should know that God is reaching his people thru this media

    I love how this track is a big middle finger to modern rap culture. I am an atheist, but I love Lecrae because he makes real music. I think good music transcends your religious views and opinions. That Gawvi production makes this sound like a DJ Mustard song (most likely a deliberate parody in itself).

      +Vheissu I agree but I just don't like how you said a big middle finger underneath his song he not disrespecting them he's representing someone who is greater than anything the middle finger is a sign for a curse word. The middle finger is not the best reference to this song

    I listened to his and loved every second of it. I had zero clue he was a Christian genre rap artist, and to be honest--even as an Atheist, I could care less. This man has talent and speaks about more than sex, money, and everything that "rap" is today. I honestly didn't even notice he doesn't even curse either (at least I don't recall any--so numb to it at this point)!! The things he touches at on this album are so deep and real. I just love it. I wish much success to him.

    Seriously? We see triangles everyday. One of the biggest mistakes we make everyday is only looking at what's bad about something. Like people say a skull is a sign of evil and death. We gotta skull in our heads, right? Does that make us evil? Plus in some cases, death isn't a bad thing. Keep the good things in mind before you make assumptions.

      Do a little more research, the triangle is the holy trinity. The son, the father and the holy spirit. It was also used in Lecraes just like you, whether or not his fooling us to think its the holy trinity when real its illuminati, does not concern me. Music is a representation.. you can choose to take out of it what you'd like, as for me I choose Jesus.

    I love this song, especially because there actually talking about those other "singers" that don't really sing about anything meaningful, they just sing about sex and booty and all this other stuff that doesn't make any sense. I would actually rather listen to Lecrae and 116 because they actually make sense and talk about things meaningful. Plus I'm a follower of the way and this is something reasonable to listen to.
