This song is not aimed at Christians who got it all together. This is for people who deal with real issues and real life and need to hear the real struggles of a man chasing God's heart.

Well thankfully for me my eyes have been opened and god has completely remapped my life, and that has included him removing a lot from my life like pornography, a LOT of secular music, and even some PEOPLE that I used to have feelings for and care deeply about! I think a lot of people confused worship music with Christian music...one is dealing with praising Jesus and the other can praise Jesus and touch on faith related subjects. I don't see anything ungodly about his music at all, I actually just see a normal human being like you and me being completely honest with everyone about his life, his faith and his past through his music.

This song really speaks to me. It's a shame that some people are missing the message that Lecrae is trying to speak through this song. Following Christ and living for Him...isn't a life without trials or without winter seasons in life. Jesus even says that we should expect to come up against hurdles and struggles. It's all about relying on Jesus through the storms of life and through the sunny days. Because Jesus is the only One who will be there through it all with us always. He's never far from us, He's just waiting for us to seek Him. To let Him in. He loves us and His perfect love casts out fear. I've struggled with severe anxiety and many hardships in my life. Even considered taking my own life...but praise Yahweh! Praise Almighty God that He lifted me up and saved me. In more than one way. This song speaks a truth that I can relate to. I would fear what others would say when they saw me struggling...how would that reflect on everything? But there is power in the name of Jesus. There is power in confessing and bringing those hidden dark things to light. Jesus is the Light. He overcame the world. So through Him we can also overcome and live victoriously. Amen.

This song speaks to me so much because I'm always fearing about my outcomes of everything I do and how I represent myself through Christ. Although I'm a born-again Christian and am holy in God, deliberate sin is something Jesus won't tolerate (Romans 6:1-2). I don't want to be a someone who's sitting on the fence, though I feel like that a lot. I know who I am through Christ but to fall into the world is something I have to be aware of. It's easy for Christians to be drawn in, we are human. It's whether you want to resist it or be apart of it (James 1:13-15)

This is a heartfelt song from Lecrae and I do pray for this brother because he is in a difficult place and I don't think he realizes the extent of it. All believers have struggles and it is good to share it, confess it, and get counsel for it. I pray that he does so. On the other hand, for those that have made comments about Pharisees, I would like to submit that discerning wrong or potentially wrong behavior from believers is not being legalistic, but actually being loving. Lecrae has done or said things publicly that will potentially hurt him, hinder the walk of others, and not glorify God properly. 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, God will forgive us and cleanse us of it. I believe this is the heart of his thoughts behind this song, as well as Lecrae calling out to the Lord for strength. I trust he will do so, but he must also be able to take reproval and rebuke from brethren at times. Not every observation and comment is some legalistic, self-righteous attack. And not every observation of Lecrae is wrong, either; it is based on his own public statements and actions. He is not answerable to anyone primarily but God, but if he is in public ministry, his responsibility is greater. We should cry out to God for strength and go to brethren for comfort, but correction from brethren is also Biblical and needed as well. Proverbs 27:5-6 says, "Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." While not all believers have the right motive in judging Lecrae, there are many that do it out of Biblical love (and have gone to him or tried to go to him privately). So I pray for Lecrae, but I also pray for many of you that judge others that you think are judging because you inadvertently commit the same transgression you believe others are committing against Lecrae. Something to ponder and think about because as the body of Christ, are common ground is not our feelings or the world's wisdom, but Christ and the scriptures.

As someone who listen quite heavily to say "secular hip-hop/rap" I have to say, Lecrae's lyrics in this song are really something. I especially like the second little dialogue and verse that follows it about his time back in high school. Really illustrates, quite vividly as well, a troubled, very human, and very imperfect developing youth.

This song really speaks to me. It's a shame that some people are missing the message that Lecrae is trying to speak through this song. Following Christ and living for Him...isn't a life without trials or without winter seasons in life. Jesus even says that we should expect to come up against hurdles and struggles. This song speaks to me so much because I'm always fearing about my outcomes of everything I do and how I represent myself through Christ. Although I'm a born-again Christian and am holy in God, deliberate sin is something Jesus won't tolerate (Romans 6:1-2). I don't want to be a someone who's sitting on the fence, though I feel like that a lot. I know who I am through Christ but to fall into the world is something I have to be aware of. It's easy for Christians to be drawn in, we are human. It's whether you want to resist it or be apart of it (James 1:13-15)

This is a heartfelt song from Lecrae and I do pray for this brother because he is in a difficult place and I don't think he realizes the extent of it. All believers have struggles and it is good to share it, confess it, and get counsel for it. I pray that he does so. On the other hand, for those that have made comments about Pharisees, I would like to submit that discerning wrong or potentially wrong behavior from believers is not being legalistic, but actually being loving. Lecrae has done or said things publicly that will potentially hurt him, hinder the walk of others, and not glorify God properly. 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, God will forgive us and cleanse us of it. I believe this is the heart of his thoughts behind this song, as well as Lecrae calling out to the Lord for strength. I trust he will do so, but he must also be able to take reproval and rebuke from brethren at times. Not every observation and comment is some legalistic, self-righteous attack. And not every observation of Lecrae is wrong, either; it is based on his own public statements and actions. He is not answerable to anyone primarily but God, but if he is in public ministry, his responsibility is greater. We should cry out to God for strength and go to brethren for comfort, but correction from brethren is also Biblical and needed as well. Proverbs 27:5-6 says, "Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." While not all believers have the right motive in judging Lecrae, there are many that do it out of Biblical love (and have gone to him or tried to go to him privately). So I pray for Lecrae, but I also pray for many of you that judge others that you think are judging because you inadvertently commit the same transgression you believe others are committing against Lecrae. Something to ponder and think about because as the body of Christ, are common ground is not our feelings or the world's wisdom, but Christ and the scriptures.

As someone who listen quite heavily to say "secular hip-hop/rap" I have to say, Lecrae's lyrics in this song are really something. I especially like the second little dialogue and verse that follows it about his time back in high school. Really illustrates, quite vividly as well, a troubled, very human, and very imperfect developing youth.
