Low Carb Leche Flan 2020 (Keto Flan)

- Quick,easy, and budget-friendly keto dessert. A must try!
ingredients:
for the caramel:
1/4 cup erythritol
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp butter
for the flan:
2 whole eggs
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup erythritol
dash of salt
250 ml all purpose cream
2 drops of vanilla
Place in 4 custard cup.
Water bath (bake at 50-60 mins) 150-160 C

I just made this, half portion of the recipe. And I ate it. I love it. This will be my go to caramel custard from now on. One mistake I made was not to immediately pour the caramel into each ramekin right after cooking it. After making the custard I discovered that the caramel had hardened in the pan, which required me to reheat it. And re-heating it I somehow could not get it to the original consistency. So to those who plan on making this flan, pls. pour the caramel into each mould while it's still in liquid form right after cooking it. Other than that, the method is simple and I get to eat my fav. dessert w/o having to refrigerate it first.

I REALLY wish someone would post a keto flan recipe WITHOUT heavy cream! Heavy cream is not something I keep in my fridge nor want to buy..so if anyone has a heavy cream free way of doing this please post. Thanks!

Ano pong brand ng butter ang ginamit nyo?
Ginaya ko po yung recipe niyo masarap siya kaso parang may something na makati I don't know kung anong ingredients yun fresh naman lahat ginamit ko. Di po ba sa erythritol? Thanks!
Hmm I’m not sure po. Haven’t heard of erythritol allergy, but most of the ingredients used ay mga common lng nman. Check nyo po kung may allergy kau sa dairy products or erythritol or might be eggs.
if you can find allulose its better with the caramel... no need for water and butter...

Pwede po, steam bath po sa oven ginawa ko kasi wala ako steamer. Pwede sya sa steamer mismo.
Hindi po ba masyado matamis yan? Hindi ako masyado mahilig sa sobrang tamis
Sakto lng po mam para sa kin, pwde nyo po iadjust yung amount ng sweetener para hindi masyado matamis.
