  • The protestant Bible is made up of 66 individual books. it can get really confusing! really fast! if you try to read them in the order they're set up in. So I recommend you read them in this order!
Starting with one of the 4 Gospels (Mathew, Mark. Luke, or John) I recommend John unless you like podcasts in which case read Mathew, and listen to The Ten Minute Bible Hour Podcasts as you read!
Then continue with more New Testament books! I recommend these for Bible reader beginners because they teach Christianity in a more straightforward way
    1/2 Corinthians
    Galatians
    Ephesians
    Philippians
    Colossians
    James
    1/2 Peter
When you feel ready to move on to the old Testament I recommend reading the first few books in order to build a solid base of understanding
    Genesis
    Exodus
    Leviticus
    Numbers
    Deuteronomy
    Joshua
    Judges
Read them in order, but you don't have to read them all before moving BACK to the New Testament!

It's just how I would want to experience the Bible if I were to have amnesia and forgot the 4 times I've already read it
Good luck with this endeavor everyone! I'm praying for you, and if you need anything don't hesitate to message me :)

If you’re going to read Acts, first read Luke. They are both written by the same author.

I started by reading New Testament front to back, then I started Old Testament front to back. I think you ought to read the Bible in the order the way they’ve organized it. I’d read New Testament first, since Old Testament wouldn’t make sense until you read about Jesus

OMG! I haven't watched your content in so long! I'm that person that asked a long time ago if a Christian could be "unconvencionally" Christian!(or sometinh like that, you made a video about it) and that was thinking of converting. I'm now officially a Christian and waiting for my first communion! I'm catholic tho, hope that's okay. Thank you for praying for me 🥺💕

Oh wow! It's good to hear from you friend! I'm very happy for you 😁💙
I disagree with a lot of the Catholic teachings, the main one being that Catholics teach you have to do good works to earn salvation. Whereas I is a protestant, believe that God gives salvation freely! Then out of thingfulness and love you do good works.
It may not seem that difficult but I consider it to be an extremely important distinction.
But you're still new to all this, so I recommend just focusing on learning the Bible and building a relationship with Christ. You'll figure out the denominations and doctrines naturally as you go :)
I will continue to pray for you!! Thanks for communicating 🥰

@@fiji.christianblue Greetings blue, I am just gonna respond to what you responded with to this person.
"Oh wow! It's good to hear from you friend! I'm very happy for you 😁💙
I disagree with a lot of the Catholic teachings, the main one being that Catholics teach you have to do good works to earn salvation."
They don't believe you have to earn salvation. just like when Christians have to walk in the spirit to keep their salvation, so is the same with works. we are not saved by works, but we are saved by baptism and faith. we are already saved before we do works.
I am sure that we both agree that we must WALK in the spirit daily.
      similar reasoning with works.
"Whereas I is a protestant, believe that God gives salvation freely! Then out of thingfulness and love you do good works."
He does give salvation freely lol. I 100 percent agree with you there, and so does catholicism.
if you watched mike winger's video on "the church's teachings of 'meriting' salvation" I suggest watching Trent horn's response video to mike winger, since Trent horn does a great job at explaining the different between strict merit and non strict merit.
I do not mean this comment to be a "HAHA I GOT YOU" but rather I mean it to be something to learn from. something to consider.
Christians shouldn't debate for the sole reason of winning, but they should debate for understanding, for wisdom and the truth.
also, your channel kinda means a lot to me, especially since I was a protestant Questioning my protestant faith in the early days. there's just a bit of history for me when it comes to this channel. keep it up.

Read the Old Testament first. The New Testament is constantly quoting it and 2 Peter 3:15-17 warns you that Paul's letters are hard to understand and easy to twist for unlearned people. Reading the New Testament first is why so many Christians think we can eat pork and break the Sabbath now.
    Hosea 4:6
    King James Version
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

There's the Christian practice of writing down a copy of the books while reading it. Why just have a snack if there's a complete meal on the table.
