'Britannia Bark' - No.70000 'Britannia' Powers Through Chilworth - Sunset Steam Express - 18/7/23

On a still evening on the Surrey hills circuit, we were treated to the sound of a Brit in charge of Steam Dreams 'Sunset Steam Express'.
In this short video, we enjoy the sound of the locomotive working up the 1in100, as it passes through Chilworth on the tail of a stopping service.

I note the GWR poster concerning 'Jesse's Seat' - can't quite read the text on the video (despte the good resolution) but the topiary has been abandoned now (and sprayed with weedkiller by NR!). I hadn't been aware of a Turbo carrying the headboard as shown, either. I was at Hackhurst Lane for this run but when I filmed at Chilworth on another Tuesday the station level crossing was closed for well over five minutes just to allow the steam to pass - not helpful for road users! At the end, the advance warning board for the 55mph speed limit beyond the bridge is the exact spot at which 'Britannia' suffered its catastrophic failure on 22 August.
